Cabside numberplate STE NATIONALE DES CHEMINS DE FER VICINAUX 1054 from a 0-6-0 Steam Tram that worked on this system in Belgium, Oval cast brass in face cleaned condition with a small dent in the centre, measures 17.5in x 13.25in.
Tyers No6 fibre single line tablet BENTLEY - BORDON from the former London & South Western Railway section which closed in 1966. In good ex railway condition. Bentley was the northern terminus of the Bentley and Bordon Light Railway, built in 19 05 to serve the military camp at Bordon.
Southern Railway enamel target station sign NEW BECKENHAM from the former South Eastern & Chatham Railway station between Catford Bridge and Beckenham Junction. In good condition with some edge restoration and face chip repairs. Mounted on a back board, measures 36in long.

A chromed brass SENTINEL SWORD as removed from one of the Army Sentinel Diesels and now mounted on a board painted in army colours for display. Sword measures 36in long.
Enamel carriage board ZILLERTALBAHN ex 4 wheeled coach that ran on the 760 mm gauge independent railway from Jenbach to Mayrhofen. Rectangular with a Convex back measuring 30.5in x 7.5in and bears an original makers name Munchener Emaillier- & St anzwerke, Munchen. In excellent condition.
Southern Railway Sykes 3 position mahogany cased block instrument brass plated WOOL. In very good condition complete with top indicator. Stands 23in tall.
Totem BR(M) FF BROAD STREET from the former North London Railway terminus in London. This is one of the rare 4ft totems that were used on only a few stations. In good condition with a few small face chip repairs and slight mottling.
Worksplate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE CO LTD THE GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD 1959 No 27859 ex British Railways Class 21 Diesel numbered D6129 rebuilt as a class 29 in April 1967. Allocated new to 32B Ipswich and withdrawn from 65A Eastfield in October 1971 and scrapped. Diamond shaped cast aluminium, in as removed condition with plenty of original blue paint, measures 14.25in x 6.25in. Note not many of these plates have survived in BR Blue paint.
Smokebox numberplate 44913 ex LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 built at Crewe in 1945 and originally numbered 4913. Allocated to Bescot, Bangor, Chester and 8H Birkenhead Mollington street from where it was withdrawn in August 1967 and scrapped at Cashmore' s (Newport). In as removed condition.
BR(NE) FF double sided enamel railway station direction sign STATION with British Railways totem and arrows. In excellent ex railway condition complete with original lead beading and mounting bracket, measures 21in x 10.5in.
GWR & LSWR joint signal box board PORTLAND from the former station between Weymouth and Easton closed in 1952. Wood with cast iron letters has been totally restored, measures 51.5in x 10in.

Face restored with 2 weld repairs.

Nameplate ALBRIGHTON HALL ex Great Western Railway Collet 4-6-0 Hall Class Locomotive built at Swindon in 1929 as Lot no 268 and numbered 4984. Allocated to Carmarthen, Oxley, Exeter and 88A Cardiff Canton from where it was withdrawn in September 196 2 and scrapped. In original condition, rear stamped RIN Lot No 268 No 4984 indicating this is the Right hand plate. Named after the Hall in either Wolverhampton or Shrewsbury.

Named Wolferton and numbered LBSCR 51, SR 2051 and BR 32051. Allocated to Horsham from where it was withdrawn in March 1949 and scrapped. Oval cast brass, in lightly face restored condition measures 13.5in x 7.5in.

Named Benbow in April 1978. Originally allocated to the LMWL Lon don Midland Western Lines and withdrawn from Laira in January 1989 and cut up by Vic Berry Leicester May 1989. Rectangular chromed brass measuring 10.25in x 4.5in. In rechromed condition as carried out at Doncaster works for possible re fitting.
Smokebox numberplate 61315 ex LNER Thompson B1 4-6-0 built by the North British Locomotive Company Glasgow in 1948 as works number 26216. Allocated to Gorton, Sheffield Darnall, Canklow and 41J Langwith Junction from where it was withdrawn in Februar y 1966 and put into departmental stock and numbered 32. Used as a stationary boiler for train heating it was eventually sold for scrap to G Haselwood, Attercliffe in October 1968. Face restored with a weld repair and repairs to both ends.
Great Western Railway brass signal box lever lead 59 DISC FOR No 56 with 4 combinations of levers to pull. Measures 16 inches long and has three mounting brackets on the back. In ex box condition, believed to originate from the Bristol area.
British Railways cast aluminium depot plaque for Eastfield depicting the West Highland Terrier. Square cast aluminium measures 17.75in x 17.75in. Face lightly restored.

EWS 3 headed Beastie destined for a Chiltern class 67 but not carried as Chiltern wanted to retain their own branding. Cast aluminium measures 25in x 16.5in. Bought by the vendor a long time ago at one of the Crewe auctions when EWS were selling the re plates through them.
Totem BR(W) FF TIVERTON JUNCTION from the former Great Western Railway station on the line between Exeter and Taunton and junction for the Hemyock Branch, which closed in 1963, and Tiverton Branch, which closed in 1964. In excellent condition, a rare totem last at auction 7 years ago.

Rectangular cast brass in as removed condition measures 4in x 3in.

Allocated to Hull Dairycoates, Hull Springhead, Borough Gardens, Blaydon, Sun derland and 52H Tyne Dock from where it was withdrawn in July 1967 and scrapped by Clayton & Davie, Dunston. Face restored.

GWR brass cabside numberplate 4948 ex Collett Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1929 and named NORTHWICK HALL, Converted to an oil burner in 1947 and renumbered 3902, reverted back to coal fired in 1948 and re allocated its original number 4948. A llocated to St Phillips Marsh, Laira, Reading, Exeter and 82C Swindon from where it was withdrawn in September 1962 and scrapped at Cashmore's Newport. In partially restored condition.

Nameplate EXETER PANEL SIGNAL BOX 21st ANNIVERSARY 2009 ex British Railways Class 43 HST 43162. Allocated new to Neville Hill Jun 1981. Named at Laira Depot Apr 2018 and removed Apr 2020. This name has also been carried by 43163 (5/09-1/14) and 43012 (6/16-1/18). Previously named Borough of Stevenage (3/84-5/99) and Project Rio (8/04-12/04). Later named Caerhays Castle in Jun 2022. Moved to the West Somerset Railway for warm storage Sep 2023 until returning to Laira Oct 2023. Currently stored at Laira since Jun 2024. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 65in x 13.25in. Sold on behalf of Great Western Railway for their chosen charities and comes with an official GWR certificate of authenticity confirming the original owner.
Nameplate THAMES ex Great Western Railway Dean Duke 4-4-0 built at Swindon in 1899 and numbered 3329 then 3291 in 1912 and 9091 in 1946. Allocated to Machynlleth and Tyseley from where it was withdrawn in February 1949 and scrapped. Stamped in the be ading L 3291 indicating that this is the left hand plate. Nicely restored.

Sold again to HNRC for spares and moved to Long Marston. Moved back to CF Booth, Rotherham Dec 2012 and scrapped there Mar 2013. Rectangular chromed brass in as removed condition, measures 10.125in x 4.5in.
