New to 87E Landore Dec 1963. Unofficially named Buccaneer at Tinsley No v 1989. Officially named Lea & Perrins May 1993 until withdrawn from Toton Apr 1999. Stored at Cardiff until moved to Wigan Springs Branch CRDC Jan 2001 and stripped. Taken by road to CF Booth, Rotherham May 2005 and the remains scrapped there Jan 2006. Rectangular chromed brass in as removed condition, measures 10.125in x 4.5in. One of only thirty class 37s built at Darlington.

Smokebox numberplate 60043 ex LNER Gresley A3 pacific 4-6-2 built at Doncaster in 1935 as works number 1500 named BROWN JACK, originally numbered LNER 2508, 578 and 43. Allocated to Haymarket and 64A St Margarets from where it was withdrawn in May 19 64 and scrapped. Face cleaned with original bolts, rear and parts of edges original. The first time this smokebox numberplate has appeared for sale.

London Brighton & South Coast railway 3 Aspect Handlamp stamped on the side LB&SCR CHICHESTER B703 and stamped in the handle 1510 and on the reducing cone LB&SCR. Complete with SBR reservoir, reflector, BR S burner and all glasses. In or iginal condition.

Great Western Railway enamel lamp tablet DORCHESTER from the former Great Western Railway station between Weymouth and Maiden Newton. In good condition with some fading and slight loss to part of top mounting flange, measures 21in x 4in.

British Railways Diesel locomotive cab numberplate D1504 ex Class 47 built by Brush in 1962 as works number 346 and allocated new to 34G Finsbury Park, renumbered 47405 in Feb 1974 and named Northumbria in 1982. Withdrawn in March 1986 and cut up at BREL Crewe. Rectangular engraved plastic in as removed condition measures 5.125in x 1.25in.

Worksplate ANDREW BARCLAY SONS & CO LTD KILMARNOCK CALEDONIA WORKS LWDMU 675 1985. Ex British Railways 4-wheeled DH 230Hp Pacer Class 143, 2-car sets numbered 143601 to 143625. The initials stand for Light Weight Diesel Multiple Unit. Bodies were built by Walter Alexander of Falkirk and the Underframes by AB. Cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 9.75in x 7.25in.

GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 9769 ex Collett 0-6-0 PT built at Swindon in 1935. Allocated to Chester West, Oxley, Cardiff East Dock, Abercynon, Bristol Bath Road, St Philips March and 82D Westbury from where it was withdrawn in March 1963 and sc rapped at Cashmore's Newport. In original condition with a crack running from the bottom.

Nameplate THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH'S AWARD DIAMOND ANNIVERSARY 1956-2016 together with its plaque ex British Railways Class 43 HST 43022. Allocated new to Bristol St. Philips Marsh Oct 1976. Named at Paddington station on 16 Mar 2016. Later named Nether Stowey Castle. Taken out of service Jan 2023 and stored at Laira until exported to Mexico Aug 2023. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition nameplate measures 51.5in x 10in and plaque 12in x 15.75in. (2 items) Sold on behalf of Great Western Railway for their chosen charities and comes with an official GWR certificate of authenticity confirming the original owner

Nameplate ENVILLE HALL. Ex GWR Collet 4-6-0 Hall Class Locomotive built at Swindon in 1929 as Lot no 254 and numbered 4922. Allocated to Carmarthen, St Philips Marsh, Bristol Bath Road and 81F Oxford from where it was withdrawn in July 1963 and scrap ped at Cashmore's Newport. In face restored condition, rear stamped R Lot No 254 No 22 indicating this is the Right hand plate. Enville Hall is near to Stourbridge.

BR(M) Enamel station platform sign TRENT. From the former Midland Railway station between Nottingham and Derby. In very good ex station condition with minor edge chipping. Measures 20in x 25in.

Tyers No6 fibre single line tablet HINDERWELL - KETTLENESS. From the former North Eastern railway section in Yorkshire between Whitby and Middlesborough. In good ex railway condition, measures 4.325in diameter.

Totem BR(E) HF WITHAM from the former Great Eastern Railway station between Colchester and Cambridge. In good condition with a couple of face repairs and slight loss of shine in places. A rare totem only at auction twice before the last time being 19 years ago.

Worksplate BUILT 1962 SWINDON ex British Railways Class 03 Diesel 0-6-0 in the number range D2178-2186. Oval cast iron in lightly face cleaned condition with plenty of green and blue paint and original bolts measures 10.625in x 6.125in. A rare plate from one of only 9 examples that could have possibly carried this build date.

Smokebox numberplate 34075 ex Bulleid 4-6-2 Battle Of Britain Class locomotive built at Brighton in 1948 and named 264 SQUADRON. Allocated to Stewarts Lane, Dover Marine, Ramsgate and 72A Exmouth Junction from where it was withdrawn in April 1964 and scrapped. Face restored and rear lugs removed.

British Railways locomotive whistle from a Riddles Std Class 5 73xxx (part of class only as the first 90 had the tri-tone chime fitted behind the chimney), Class 4 75xxx, Class 4 76xxx, Class 3 77xxx, Class 2 78xxx, Class 4 80xxx, Class 3 82xxx and Class 2 84xxx. Complete with operating valve, mounting boss and cab operating lever with rodding. Rare to find one with everything.

London & South Western Railway oil table lamp complete with reservoir, burner, glass chimney, glass shade and cast iron base which has SWR cast underneath. In excellent condition stands 26in tall. The Most complete of these we have seen and a lot rarer than the GWR ones.

Totem BR(M) FF FLINT from the former London & North Western Railway station between Chester and Rhyl. In very good condition with a couple of small face chip repairs.

Nameplate ALBERT together with matching makers plate A.R.ADAMS & SON ENGINEERS & BOILER MAKERS NEWPORT, MON. Ex Manning Wardle 1008 built in 1897 and delivered new to the Millwall Dock Co and numbered 9, later Port of London Authority number 37. Sold around 1927 to A.R. Adams & Son dealers Newport Monmouthshire who sold it in 1937 to The Thurrock Chalk & Whiting Co of West Thurrock Essex where its was named Albert. It worked until around 1956 when it was scrapped. Nameplate rectangular cast brass face restored measures 18.5in x 4.75in and makers plate oval cast brass face restored measures 9.25in x 5.75in.

Totem BR(M) FF HIGHTOWN from the former Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway station between Liverpool and Southport. In very good condition. A rare totem last at auction 15 years ago.

Named Thunderbirds The Hood 09/2003 to 09/2011, Peter Henderson 10/2011 to 09/2014 and Solway Princess 09/2014 to 10/2019. Loco leased to Network Rail in Sep 2011 and moved to DRS Jul 2014. On long term hire to Rail Operations Group from Sep 2018 to Mar 2022. On hire to GWR Mar 2023, GBRF Aug 2023 and currently sub-leased to GWR since 17/8/23. Rectangular engraved aluminium in as removed condition. Measures 9.875in x 5.875in and has No2 End on the back.

Smokebox numberplate 46248 ex LMS Stanier Class Coronation 4-6-2 built at Crewe in 1943 and originally numbered LMS 6248 and named CITY OF LEEDS. Allocated to Camden, Carlisle Upperby and 5A Crewe North from where it was withdrawn in September 1964 a nd scrapped at Cashmore's (Great Bridge). Face restored.

Cabside numberplate E3032 ex British Railways Class 83 Electric built by English Electric Vulcan Foundry as works number E2936/E272 in November 1960, renumbered to 83009 in 1972. Originally allocated to ACL WCML Electric Traction and withdrawn from W N Willesden in March 1989 and scrapped in 1993 at MC Metals Glasgow. Steel backplate with stainless steel letters, measures 32in x 7.5in. In nice lightly face cleaned condition.

Totem BR(W) FF GORSEINON from the former London & North Western Railway station between Llandilo and Swansea. In excellent condition.

Caledonian Railway Tyers 2 needle mahogany cased block instrument with external mounted bell and has been converted to Push Button operation by B.R. as most were. In lovely ex box condition and the slide in back board is marked with locations STRATHA VEN JCT LOOP LINE and SHILEDS JUNCTION MAIN LINE 1961, stands 26in tall.

Tyers No6 brass and steel single line tablet WOLFERTON - DERSINGHAM from the former Great Eastern Railway line in Norfolk from Kings Lynn to Hunstanton which closed in 1969 and section for the Royal station at Wolferton. Machine engraved in very good condition.

British Railways Southern Region telephone circuit notice dated 21st April 1960 Western Section OKEHAMPTON - LAUNCESTON Telephone Circuit No W277. Shows OKEHAMPTON, MELDON JUNCTION, ASHBURY, HALWILL, ASHWATER, TOWER HILL and LAUNCESTON. In very good condition framed and glazed, measures 9in x 7in. A famous section of the withered arm closed in 1967.

Nameplate AXIAL with matching circular badge. Ex British Railways class 47 47228 originally numbered D1904. Built September 1965 under works number 666 and allocated to Newport. Named at Mossend Euro terminal on the 26th September 1995. Withdrawn in March 1998 and stored at Bescot for component recovery. Purchased by Fragonset on 2002 and taken to MOD Kineton in November 2002. Finally scrapped and cut up at EMR, Kingsbury on July 14th 2007. The most unique of all Class 47 nameplates having all lower case lettering. Cast aluminium in as removed condition nameplate measures 45.5in x 9.5in and the badge 9.75in diameter. Complete with EWS Certificate of Authenticity.

Nameplate LYONNESSE ex Urie King Arthur 4-6-0 built at Eastleigh in 1919 and numbered SR 743 and later BR 30743. Allocated to Bournemouth from where it was withdrawn in October 1955 and scrapped. In lightly face cleaned condition but not skimmed, mea sures 39.5in long. This is the other side to the one previously sold at auction.

Totem BR(W) FF ST ANNE'S PARK from the former Great Western railway station between Bristol and Keynsham. In good condition with a repair to the left hand end.

Worksplate BRUSH LOUGHBOROUGH ENGLAND 1976 ELECTROPUTERE CRAIOVA-ROMANIA. Ex British Railways Class 56 56028 which was one of the Romanian built examples. Anodised stainless steel In as removed condition with 56028 on the back measures 10.75in x 7.12 5in.

Smokebox numberplate 67621. Ex LNER Gresley V1/V3 2-6-2T built at Doncaster in 1931. Allocated to 65C Parkhead from where it was withdrawn in December 1962 and scrapped. Face restored, a Scottish loco for all of its working life.

Great Western Railway cast iron tenderplate GWR 2715 4000 GALLONS. This tender was paired to at least ten King class locomotives including the ex streamlined King Henry VII 6014 and King Henry VI which took part in the locomotive trials of 1948. Oval cast iron face restored with a weld repair, measures 8.25in x 6in.

GWR brass cabside numberplate 2903 ex Churchward Saint Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1906 and named LADY OF LYONS. Allocated to Chester West and Tyseley from where it was withdrawn in November 1949 and scrapped. Lightly face restored with boiler an d class stampings in the rim.

Allocated to Lostock Hall, Staveley and 41J Langwith Junction from where it w as withdrawn in January 1966 and scrapped at Cashmore's (Newport). Face restored.

BR(W) wooden carriage board FALMOUTH-TRURO. In good ex railway condition complete with metal ends. Measures 32in x 3.5in.

Tyers No6 aluminium single line tablet SUDBURY - CHAPPEL from the section of the former Great Eastern Railway between Marks Tey and Long Melford. In ex railway condition measures 4.5in diameter.

Locomotive cabside Emblem featuring the Imperial Eagle of the German Empire 1889 - 1918 and K.D.E.V.(removed). The initials stand for Kaiserlich Deutsche Elsenbahn Verwaltung which translates to Imperial German Railway Administration. Unlike the more common KPEV plate, this was used on German Colonial Railways and bears a very different spread eagle. Circular cast brass in lightly cleaned condition, measures 237mm in diameter.

Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway signal box board HALL ROAD from the former box between Liverpool and Southport. In good ex railway condition with beading missing from both ends. Measures 65in x 10in.

GWR brass cabside numberplate 3441. Originally applied to 3441 CITY OF WINCHESTER until that locomotive was renumbered 3718 in 1912. From 1912 carried by ex Dean Bird Class 4-4-0 built at Swindon in 1909 and named BLACKBIRD. Allocated to Taunton, Lai ra and Worcester from where it was withdrawn in February 1949 and scrapped. Lightly face restored with clear boiler and class stampings in the rim.
