Worksplate BRITISH RAILWAYS DARLINGTON BUILT 1964 POWER EQUIPMENT BY ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES LTD AND SULZER Ex British Railways Class 25 diesel in the number range D7582 to D7597 (25232 to 25247). Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed con dition. Measures 13in x 6.625in. Only 16 locos were built in this year.
London & North Eastern Railway enamel station direction sign LNER STATION BRIDLINGTON with feathered arrows. From the former North Eastern Railway station between Driffield and Filey. Double sided measuring 24.5in x 9.75in. Both sides are in very good condition. Not many enamels survive from this station as it didn't receive totems.
Great Western Railway locomotive whistles, a pair of large and small complete with their mounting elbows bracket and rear shroud. Small whistle stands 10.5in tall and the large 12.5in tall. In nicely polished condition and mounted on a board ready to display.

Nameplate THE NORTHERN LIGHTS ex British Railways Class 37 diesel 37251. Allocated new to 86A Cardiff Canton Dec 1964 as D6951 becoming 37251 Feb 1974. Named at Aberdeen station on 4th November 1992 by Jack Webster, Actor as part of the Aberdeen 125 events. The nameplates were removed Dec 1997. Previously named Gladiator at Tinsley (11/89-9/90). Withdrawn from Motherwell Dec 1999 and broken up at Booth Roe Metals, Rotherham Sep 2001. Complete with original EWS nameplate certificate.

Smokebox numberplate 6952 ex GWR Collett Hall 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1943 and named KIMBERLEY HALL. Allocated to Didcot, Oxford, Banbury and 2A Tyseley from where it was withdrawn in December 1965 and scrapped at Cashmore's (Great Bridge). This la ter steel replacement plate is in as removed condition with some rust in places. Comes with official BR Swindon receipt dated 22nd March 1965.
Great Western railway brass cabside numberplate 4022 ex Churchward Star 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1909 and named King William removed in 1927 and renamed The Belgian Monarch which were removed in 1927 and lastly BELGIAN MONARCH. Allocated to Laira an d 82C Swindon from where it was withdrawn in February 1952 and scrapped. Face restored.

Nameplate BICKMARSH HALL ex GWR Collett Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1937 as order number 304 and numbered 5967. Allocated to Banbury, Shrewsbury, Newton Abbot, Old Oak Common and 82D Westbury from where it was withdrawn in June 1964 and sent to Barry where it was rescued for preservation and is now undergoing restoration on the Llangollen Railway. Nicely face restored with L scratched in the back indicating this is the left hand plate. Named after the Hall near Honeybourne.

Great Western brass cabside numberplate 3180 ex Churchward 2-6-2 T built at Swindon in 1907. Allocated to Newton Abbot, Laira, St Blazey, Leamington Spa, Tyseley and 85B Gloucester Horton Road from where it was withdrawn in October 1957 and scrapped at Swindon Works. Face restored with Boiler and Class details partially visible stamped in the front rim. Note this locomotive was damaged in an air raid on Newton Abbot shed in August 1940 and repairs around the 0 can be seen from this incident.

Nameplate Goliath ex Class 57 57301 Originally built as Class 47 D1653 at Crewe Works in 1965 and later becoming 47069 Jan 1974, 47638 Feb 1986 and 47845 Nov 1989. Converted to Class 57 at Brush Traction, Loughborough Jun 2002 becoming 57301. Named G oliath on 6th October 2014 and nameplates removed around Apr 2021. Previously named County of Kent (6/96 to 9/01) and Thunderbirds Scot Tracy (6/02 to 8/11). Loco still in service with current operator GBRF. Complete with original DRS nameplate certificate.

Allocated to Bricklayers Arms, Tonbridge, Nine Elms, Redhill and 73A Stewarts Lane from where it was withdrawn in Febr uary 1961 and scrapped. In original condition with the A (Ashford) casting mark in the back.

Nameplate CHAWNER ex 0-4-2ST built by Beyer Peacock in 1864 as works number 462. Delivered new to the Cannock Chase Colliery Co and spent all of its working life there, scrapped by NCB at Chasetown in 1949. Rectangular cast brass face restored, meas ures 28.5in x 5in.
London Midland & Scottish Railway brass Handbell with wooden handle. Stamped LMS on the shoulder of the bell, it stands 10in tall and is excellent condition. Originated from one of the Scottish LMS stations.

Nameplate THE ZETLAND ex Gresley LNER Gresley D49 4-4-0 built at Darlington in 1932 and numbered LNER 220, 2738 and BR 62738. Allocated to Gateshead, Starbeck and 50A York North from where it was withdrawn in September 1959 and scrapped. Curved cast brass nicely face restored, with an original early fox. Named after the Hunt in North Yorkshire based at Aldborough St John. The first time either plate has been offered for sale at auction.

British Railways cast aluminium depot plaque for Toton depicting the Cooling towers, this is the smaller pattern ex Class 58. Square cast aluminium measures 11in x 11in in as removed condition. Comes complete with original EWS authenticity certificat e and a copy of an email confirming it was from a class 58.
