Smokebox numberplate 44039 ex Fowler 4F 0-6-0 built at Derby in 1925. Allocations included Nottingham, Sheffield, Manningham, Sowerby Bridge and 56A Wakefield from where it was withdrawn in June 1964 and scrapped later the same year. Lightly face cle aned.
British Railways Western Region brass cabside numberplate 7034 ex Collett Castle Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1950 and named Ince Castle. Allocated to Bristol Bath Road, St Philips Marsh and 85B Gloucester Horton Road from where it was withdrawn i n 1965 and scrapped at R.S.Hayes/Birds Tremains Yard Bridgend. Face restored a long time ago. Note this is the other side to the one we sold in November 2022.
Worksplate BRUSH TRACTION ENGLAND No.81 1958 ex British Railways Class 31 toffee apple originally numbered D5510 becoming 31010 Apr 1974. New to 30A Stratford Sep 1958 and withdrawn from there Jan 1980 and cut up Dec 1976 at BREL Doncaster. Oval cast aluminium in as removed condition, measures 9.5in x 5.75in.

Nameplate EXMOOR ex Southern Railway Bullied West Country Pacific 4-6-2 built at Brighton in 1946 and numbered SR 21C122 and 34022 in 1948, rebuilt at Eastleigh in December 1957. Allocated to Nine Elms, Salisbury, Exmouth Junction, Ramsgate, Bricklay ers Arms and 71A Eastleigh from where it was withdrawn in April 1965 and scrapped. Complete with an original West Country Class Scroll. Both face restored and mounted on a wooden display board.
London Midland & Scottish Railway timetable display case with an oak glazed frame and LMS at the top in gold shaded letters. Complete with original LMS timetable poster from BRADFORD (FORSTER SQAURE) dated May 1938. In excellent condition, measur es 40in x 15.5in. The timetable poster has been professionally mounted on archival card.

Caledonian Railway station drinking fountain brass cup. Hand engraved C.R. CURRIE on the front and complete with brass ring in very good condition, a rare survivor measures 4.5in x 3in diameter. Currie station was on the line between Mid Calder and J uniper Green and closed to passengers in 1949 and completely in 1967.

London & North Western Railway brass signal box BELL measuring 9.25in diameter x 11.5in tall with LNW cast into the top. In excellent complete with clapper and mounting bracket. This type of Bell was known to be used in signal boxes/ cabins inclu ding The Menai Bridge.

Totem BR(NE) Wall mounted HEIGHINGTON from the former North Eastern Railway station between Darlington and Bishop Auckland. In very good condition with a couple of minor repairs at the top two mounting holes. A rare totem only at auction once before 21 years ago and that was this example.
GWR machine engraved brass shelf plate STOP PUSH FOR CAE DERWEN & FIRS CROSSING BELLS. In very good condition with original black wax infill. Measures 4.75in x 1.5in. The Crossing was on the line between Abergavenny Monmouth Road and Abergavenny Junction.
Great Western railway cast iron cabside numberplate 5813 ex Collett 0-4-2T built at Swindon in 1933. Allocated for most of its working life to Bristol Bath Road and to Yatton for Branch line work. Withdrawn from 84D Leamington Spa in November 1957 wh ere it had spent its last 7 months, and scrapped at Swindon works. Restored a long time ago.
Worksplate GREENBAT LOCOMOTIVE No 2690 BUILT 1957 BY GREENWOOD AND BATLEY LTD LEEDS ENGLAND. Ex standard gauge 0-4-0WE used at Cwm Coke Ovens, Tynant near Llantwit Fardre, Mid Glamorgan, Wales and numbered No.3. The coke oven railway at Cwm had three of these Greenwood & Batley built electric coke oven locomotives that worked the short line between the ovens and the quencher. Oval cast brass face restored, measures 14in x 6in.
Worksplate THE BRITISH THOMSON HOUSTON CO LTD RUGBY ENGLAND DIESEL ELECTRIC No 1117 1959 ex BR Class 15 numbered D8219. Allocated to 31B March and withdrawn from there in September 1968 and scrapped the following year at G Cohen Kettering. Oval cast brass lightly face restored with TDN 3388 and B2528 stamped into the back, measures 11in x 6in.
Totem BR(M) HF CHINLEY from the former Midland Railway station between Bakewell and New Mills. In good displayable condition with the maroon repainted.
Nameplate FEARLESS ex LMS Stanier Jubilee 4-6-0 built at Crewe in 1936 and numbered LMS 5723 and BR 45723. Allocated to Longsight, Crewe North, Carlisle Upperby, Rugby and 5E Nuneaton from where it was withdrawn in August 1964 and scrapped. In lightl y face restored condition, rear with one dot indicating this is the left hand side. The first time either side from this locomotive has appeared at auction.
BR(NE) FF enamel doorplate PRIVATE. In excellent condition complete with original brass eyelets, measures 18in x 3.5in. This is a light tangerine version.

Allocated to Gateshead, Heaton, Tweedmouth and 50A York North from where it was withdrawn in May 1964 and scrapped at A Draper, Hull. Face restored rear with other names of similar length plates cast in. Measures 71in x 7.75in. The first time either plate has been offered for sale at auction.

Flamecut 50028 ex British Railways Class 50 diesel named Tiger. Built by The English Electric Company as works number 3798/D1169 in 1968. Allocated new to D05 Stoke Division Jun 1968 as D428 becoming 50028 Feb 1974. Withdrawn from Laira Jan 1991 and cut up on site at Old Oak Common by staff of Coopers Metals Ltd, Cardiff Jun 1991. Neatly cut with some angle left on the rear measures 49.5in x 18in and also has marked on it LH Side No 1 End.

Originally allocated to ACL WCML Electric Traction and withdrawn from LG Longsig ht Electric in August 1983 and scrapped in 1984 at Vic Berry Leicester. Steel backplate with stainless steel letters, measures 32in x 7.5in. In nice lightly face cleaned condition.

Allocated to Oxford, Reading, Laira, Newton Abbot, Landore, Stafford Road, Tyseley and 2B Oxley from where it was withdrawn in November 1964 and scrapped at Cashmore's Great Bridge. In very good original condition. The Hall was near Macclesfield Cheshire. Note this is the other side to the plate that was sold elsewhere at auction in 2023.
