Some blacking out of the GWR logo and Printers name could po tentially be reversed but the image is reasonable and the poster has now been preserved on linen.

LT Station Target in shaped bronze frame EARL`S COURT. Three separate enamel sections, the name and two curved `banana` shaped sections that fit into a special bronze frame. Excellent condition. Measures 24½" x 19¾" loose in the frame, exce llent condition.
Rhodesian Railways brass Nameplate INGWE (meaning Leopard). Ex RR Class 15 Garrett 4-6-4 + 4-6-4 `Double Baltic` number 381. Built by Beyer Peacock under works number 7277 in 1948. A number of the class were rebuilt and classified 15th Class, 23 were named after African wildlife. Comes with matching alloy numberplate. A very desirable set from one of these classic BP locomotives.
BR(M) enamel Station Platform Sign `TICKET OFFICE`, 24" x 18". Good colour and shine, one face repair.
Single Line steel Key Token EMBLETON - COCKERMOUTH STATION No 9 . Ex Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway which closed in 1966 being the last section after Bassenthwaite Lake.
Carriage Print `London, Lambeth Bridge` by Kenneth Steel RBA, SGA from the LNER Post War series issued around 1948. . In 1834 most of the old Houses of Parliament burnt down and Charles Barry designed the present gothic structure. It has 1,100 apartm ents and two miles of corridors. VGC. In original style frame & glazed.
Shedplate 66F Beattock from July 1962 until May 1967. Ex loco condition. A real rarity.
Polish Railways cast iron Locomotive Cabside Emblem PKP showing the Eagle measuring 7½" x 10". Together with Cabside Numberplate 764 413 measuring 17½" x 9½". Both items in ex loco condition.
Smokebox Numberplate 42938. Ex Hughes 2-6-0 `Crab` built Horwich Works in December 1932. Allocations include Stockport, Lancaster, Gorton and Newton Heath. Withdrawn September 1965. One of the last batch to be made with detailed differences to wheels and frames.
Tyers Single Needle mahogany cased Signal Box Telegraph Instrument with left/right sending handle, single dial and sloping desk attachment to pin messages. Used mostly on the GNR, this one is in good condition but is lacking the glass.
Totem BR(M) ETRURIA, F/F. Ex North Staffs Railway station between Longport and Stoke-on-Trent, opened 9 October 1848. The station closed as recently as 2005.
GNR double pie-crust Handlamp brass plated `Great Northern Railway BARDNEY`. Complete with interior reservoir and burner. Tastefully restored.
BR(E) enamel Capbadges, qty 9 plus one BR totem bereft of enamel. Comprises: Ticket Collector fishtail; x2 Porter, fishtail; Guard, fishtail; x4 British Railways Totem; Porter, totem. All but one British Railways in almost mint condition.
GNR double pie-crust Handlamp brass plated `Great Northern Railway SINGIL BANK - LINCOLN 4`. Matching top and bottom numbers 8404. Complete with interior reservoir and burner. Tastefully restored.
Carriage Print `Loch Lomond` by Frank Mason from the Scottish series. In an original type glazed frame.
Cabside Numberplate 9776 cast iron. Ex 0-6-0PT built Swindon Works in March 1936 and allocated to Landore. Moved to Gloucester and finished up at Oxley. Withdrawn in April 1966. Face only restored.
Midland Railway Trespass Sign of some rarity being the serif version of James Williams Secretary. Together with a Midland Railway C/I Beware Of Trains Sign.
LNER 9 x 5 Works Numberplate `LNER 3496 Doncaster Works 1924`, the number on a brass strip. Ex 2-8-0 Gresley Class O2 released to traffic February 1924 and allocated to Doncaster followed by New England, Grantham, Frodingham, Langwith Junction and b ack to Grantham. Withdrawn September 1963.

Totem BR(M) KIRKBY IN ASHFIELD, F/F. Ex Midland Railway station between Nottingham and Worksop. In good condition with one small repair in the top panel
LNER cast iron Doorplates qty 2 comprising: BOOKING OFFICE, face restored and LAMPS, face restored.
Midland Railway Lamp Post standing approximately 140" above ground level with 28" showing from ground to flare. Nicely embossed with company name and complete with both ladder shoulders. Sold from site in the Lincoln area, Buyer to uplift w ithin 2 weeks of purchase leased through us with the vendor.
London Brighton & South Coast Railway fully titled large oval Wagon Plate `To Carry 4 Tons No 678`. Face restored
American Locomotive Bell of large proportion and weight. A lovely example with fittings to mount on boiler top and large operating lever. Similar to the type fitted to 6000 King George V and 60010 Dominion Of Canada but almost identical to that fitte d to 6100 Royal Scot.
GWR cast iron Gangers Instrument embossed on the face with company name. Together with a similar but the `G` of GWR has been ground off to leave `WR`, obviously for use on the Western Region. The latter is fitted with a blank brass Annetts Key.
BR(S) enamel Station Platform Sign `PLATFORM 1`. Measures 24" x 18" in extremely good condition.
Russian Locomotive Builders Plate No 8640 dated 1947, as fitted to loco smokeboxes. Measures 31" x 10½", ex loco condition.
Worksplate, brass engraved `62038 of 1948`. Ex Peppercorn K1 locomotive built by the North British Locomotive Company under works number 26642. Allocated to March for most of its life and then Doncaster for the final few years. Withdrawn October 1963 .
GCR carved oak Coat of Arms surrounded with ornate `wings` and borders. A magnificent item, reputedly from Grimsby Docks Directors Room. Central company shield hand painted. Measures 47" x 30" in two halves that slot together via dowels. Qu ite superb.
Nameplate WESTERN GLORY with matching Cabside Numberplate. Ex BR Class 52 Diesel Hydraulic D1072, the penultimate member of the class, built by BR at Crewe Works and released to traffic in November 1963 and allocated to Old Oak Common. Withdrawn in A ugust 1974 and cut up at Swindon in April 1977. The nameplate is 78½" x 8" and has been lightly face painted. Arguably one of, if not the best sounding Western names. The original receipt accompanies along with a quantity of other correspondence detailing the Westerns for sale at the time and the relevant defects to certain plates and cabsides, most interesting information.

L&YR Tyers One Direction Receiving Block Instrument brass plated FEATHERSTONE COLy and and bearing the large makers plate `Tyer & Co Ltd., London` at the bottom. Featherstone is west of Pontefract on the ex LYR line to Wakefield.

Together with a similar `Let Us Help You Arrange Your Holiday Travel` by Wolstenholme, Crown Royal size. Semi-pictorial depicting 70000 Britannia, folds and minor tape marks.

Semi -pictorial with an image of a ship within a green shamrock top left, the rest is text regarding sailings in 1956 within a complete border of small shamrocks. Published by th e British Transport Commission, printed by Ernest J. Day. Some edge crinkling otherwise extremely good. Together with another poster advertising direct links to the Continent and Ireland, semi-pictorial with a large ship at top, by Wolstenholme. This one is somewhat ragged.
Poster, LMS D/R Letterpress `Sat Nov 24th 1923 Manchester Races listing stations from and between Whitwell to Matlock. Has outlines of Racehorses at the top. In extremely good condition for age.
