Single Line Tablet RUMBLING BRIDGE - DOLLAR No 22. In original leather covered steel Hoop with leather pouch and buckle. Ex Devon Valley Line that linked Alloa and Kinross in the Kingdom of Fife. A rare Tablet from a little heard of line that closed in 1964.

Smokebox Numberplate 4088. Ex GWR Castle Class Locomotive built Swindon July 1925 and named DARTMOUTH CASTLE. Allocated to Laira and Newton Abbot swapping between both over many years.In the late 1950`s transferred to Worcester to work Paddington Exp resses and ended up at Bristol St. Philip`s Marsh before withdrawal in May 1964. Restored.

Worksplate Yorkshire Engine Co Ltd No 1300 dated 1915 Meadow Hall Works, Sheffield. Ex Standard Gauge 0-6-0ST which was ex-works on 28 March 1916 and went new to Shirebrook Colliery as their “Shirebrook No.3”. Rebuilt by Sheepbridge Ironw orks 1926. Passed to the National Coal Board in January 1947. Somewhere between November 1964 and April 1966 it was moved to Warsop Colliery and was scrapped there by William Bush of Alfreton some time between May 1966 and April 1967. Comes with a rather delightful Yorkshire Engine Co Ltd. bronze Paperweight measuring 2¼" diameter.

Totem BR(W) WEST RUISLIP, H/F. Ex GWR/GCR Joint station opened in 1906 and situated between South Ruislip and Denham. Excellent colour and shine, some chipping to border only.

GWR C/I Goods Depot Gate Decoration in the shape of a heavily scalloped plaque with `GWR` in ornate script lettering. Measures 11¼" x 8½" at widest. Used as a central motif on large gates found at GWR Goods Yards etc.

LNER 9 x 5 brass Tenderplate London & North Eastern Railway 7003 Darlington Works 1926. Ex LNER Group Standard 4200 gallon tender which was part of an order originally allotted to the Class D49 4-4-0s in the North East Area. Face completely clean ed, back unrestored.

Nameplate THE BLACKCOUNTRYMAN together with Commemorative Plaque which reads `This Locomotive Was Named To Commemorate The 25th Anniversary Of The Black Country Society Dudley 1967 - 1992` . Ex Brush Type 2 A1A-A1A Class 31 number D5524 later 31106 i ntroduced March 1959 and allocated to Stratford. Named 30/08/1992 and name removed 31/05/1997. Measures 81" x 10", the oval plaque measures 16" x 13". Mounted on a tasteful backboard ready for display. Comes with original EWS Certificate of Authenticity dated 15th June 1997.

Shedplate 84D Leamington Spa. Ex loco condition

SE&CR glass Lamp Tablet BEARSTED & THURNHAM. The station is between Maidstone East and Hollingbourne, opened in May 1884 as Bearsted and was renamed in Bearsted & Thurnham 1907 only to be put back to Bearsted on 1980. Good original condit ion, 10¾" in length.

L&SWR Holy Bible from the Steamship HAVRE dated 1866. Hardback brown cover inscribed `L&SW RAILWAY COMPANY STEAMSHIP "HAVRE". The accompanying booklet relates to some history of the ship which was built in 1856.It was wrecked in Lit tle Russell Channel, Guernsey on 15th February 1875 without any loss of life. The Bible must have been rescued then and went into the Copp Family as written in the inside cover. The spine is missing and detachment has occurred, however, this is an amazing survivor without doubt.

Totem BR(S) LEATHERHEAD, F/F. Ex LB&SCR station, opened 1st March 1867 although the L&SWR station earlier. Situated between Dorking and Epsom. An extremely rare totem, never appearing at auction previously. Excellent colour and shine, virtual ly mint.

Nameplate WESTERN LADY plus matching Cabside Numberplate D1048. Ex Maybach Diesel Hydraulic built Crewe Works in December 1962. Withdrawn 28th February 1977 and now owned privately and operated by the Midland Diesel Group, Midland Railway, Butterley. Both plates are in ex loco condition.

GWR mahogany cased 12" fusee Clock number GWR 2899. Ex Yatton Signal Box, purchased by the Vendor`s father who was a Signalman at the box on closure.

Worksplate W.G. Bagnall Engineers 2339 Stafford, England. Ex 2`6" gauge Class ZB 2-6-2T number 201, built October 1928 for the North Western Railway.

South Eastern Railway Police Truncheon measuring 17½" in length and bearing the large crown at the top, the initials `S.E.R. horizontally across the centre and a pattern beneath. In used condition with the usual wear. A scarce Truncheon.

A trio of GWR R.E Thompson mahogany cased Lamp In/Out Instruments. One with ivorine plate No 5 above dial, another with a brass plate 123 and the last without any plate. Each has Bell On/Bell Off centre switch with Tapper at side. Original makers pla te on bottom face of one.

GWR wooden box with the following stamped into the top lid ,Great Western Railway Return To Wolverhampton Stafford Road Signal & Telegraph Dept`. Measures 15½" x 8" x 7" and was obviously designed to hold some sort of instrument/s . Very attractive and extremely well made.

Brass Plunger bearing a brass ring engraved `HOLBORN SIGNAL BOX - PUSH TO RELEASE 40`. Excellent ex box condition.

L&NWR small copper Gauge Glass Lamp with flat face and bevelled lens. Complete with mini rapeseed reservoir/burner having a breather pipe adjacent. The side is clearly stamped LNWR WH and the chimney top is also stamped LNWR. An interesting littl e lamp.

GWR Tyers Train Describer Sending and Receiving Instrument bearing an ivorine plate SMALL HEATH NORTH RELIEF LINE. The top dial has 11 segments as follows clockwise:- From North Warwickshire Line; From Main Line; To Bordesley Jct Only; To Snow Hill S tation Only; To Stourbridge Branch; To Wolverhampton Line; To Moor Street Station; blank; To Hockley Yard. The lower dial has only 6 segments populated and these are clockwise:- To North Warwickshire Line; To Main Line; To Bordesley Jc Only; To Tyseley Yard; Terminating At Small Heath; Terminating At Tyseley Station. A magnificent instrument throughout.

GWR Cabside Numberplate 5075. Ex 4-6-0 Castle Class WELLINGTON which was originally named Devizes Castle, built Swindon Works in August 1938. First allocation was Wolverhampton Stafford Road and in 1940 during WWII, it was renamed. Subsequent allocat ions include Chester and Plymouth Laira ending its days at Bristol St Philip`s Marsh. Withdrawn September 1962. Scrapped at Cashmore`s, Newport. Basically ex loco condition.

Totem BR(M) BARNOLDSWICK, F/F. Ex Midland Railway station opened by the Barnoldswick Railway and worked by the Midland Railway, on 8 February 1871. was the only railway station on the Midland Railway`s 1 mile 64 chains long Barnoldswick Branch in the West Riding of Yorkshire in England. In virtually mint condition, just a few minor chips to the black edging. A rare totem indeed.

Tyers Single Needle mahogany cased Signal Box Telegraph Instrument with left/right sending handle, single dial and sloping desk attachment to pin messages. Used mainly on the GNR, this one is in good condition retaining the front dial glass.

GWR circular C/I Bridge Plate 31 measuring 12" in diameter, from the arches forming the bridge across the River Severn at Worcester close to where the long gone branch to Pitchcroft Race Course was. Together with an appropriate Telephone Circuit Card Worcester to Evesham, mounted in a modern frame.

GWR brass locomotive Safety Valve Cover, nicely polished and side flanges painted green. Believed to be from a Hall Class locomotive

GWR enamel Sign `G.W.R. Danger - This Building Contains Highly Inflammable Stores - No Naked Light Allowed Inside - No Person Under Sixteen May Enter - No Unauthorised Person May Handle Contents. In Case Of Fire etc..etc. Measures 14" x 10" ; being great rarity in virtually mint condition. Together with a red on white enamel Fire Exit sign, 15" x 5" with one small repair bottom edge.

Smokebox Numberplate 30853. Ex Southern Railway Maunsell designed `Lord Nelson` Class 4-6-0 locomotive number 853 SIR RICHARD GRENVILLE. Built Eastleigh September 1928 and allocated to Stewarts Lane. Served a spell at Nine Elms and was then transferr ed to Bournemouth and later Eastleigh. Withdrawn March 1962. Ex loco condition.

BR(M) double sided Station Direction Sign, 21" x 10½", with British Railways Totem logo at the top. Complete with original bracket. In virtually mint condition. An ever increasing rarity now that the huge majority have been split into singl e sided.

BR(W) framed and glazed Telephone Circuit PANTYFFYNNON - GWAUN-CAE-GURWEN dated 1951. Lists many locations including Ammanford, Cawdor Crossing, Glanamman, Garnant and Brynamman. Also a similar LLANDOVERY - BUILTH ROAD listing Cynghordy, Sugar Loaf, Berthddu, Llanwrytyd, Garth, Cilmery etc. Finally, x4 loose circuit sheets KNIGHTON - LLANDRINDOD WELLS with different dates incl 1956. Lists include Knucklas, Llangunllo, Llanbister, Dolau, Penybont etc. All in good but used condition.

Totem BR(S) SOUTH MERTON, F/F light green variety. Ex SR station opened on 7 July 1929 between Morden South and Wimbledon Chase. Small area of expert restoration to LH end.

LNER cast iron Doorplate RESIDENCE, face restored, rear has been red leaded. End repair, extremely rare.

LC&DR Sykes Lock & Block Instrument with painted face `To Up Starting To Hollingbourne`. The rim of the indicator is faintly stamped W.R. Sykes Interlocking Signal Co Ltd., London`. Chalk marks indicate that this was located at Bearsted & Thurnham. There is a mounting box accompanying to house the rodding bars beneath.

Shedplate 70H Ryde Isle of Wight until May 1973. Totally ex loco with BR(S) triangle on rear. They don`t come better than this one.

Carriage Print `Winchester Cathedral, Hampshire` by Claude Buckle from the Southern Region A Series. Excellent, unframed condition.

Smokebox Numberplate 6827. Ex GWR `Grange Class` 4-6-0 locomotive built Swindon February 1937 and allocated new to Truro. Spent time at Canton and after 1948, a long time at St Philip`s Marsh, Stourbridge Junction in 1962 and eventually Oxley in 1964 . Cut up at Bird`s Long Marston in September 1965.Totally ex loco condition retaining original bolts, washers and nuts. Recently found in a barn clearance and, along with some other prestigious plates, was lifted into a JCB bucket destined for a skip before someone realised that perhaps that shouldn`t happen.

Tyers mahogany cased Train Describer Receiving Instrument with single dial face split into 10 segments to include the following annotations:- Box Closed; Main To Station; Train At Station; Station To Branch; Train Left Station; Branch To Station; Sta tion To Main; Train Left Station; No Train Signalled and Box Closed. Excellent condition.

BR(M) Station Platform Lamp cover LICHFIELD. Ex Lichfield Trent Valley station, measures 69" in length, opaque white body with maroon letters and maroon painted metal edging, as it came from the station.

Worksplate `Built 1954 Crewe`, cast iron. Prestigious locos were built this year at Crewe, the list being:- 71000 Duke Of Gloucester, Britannia Pacifics 70045 - 70054, 9F`s 92000 - 92019.

BR(E) flangeless enamel Doorplate POLICE measuring 18" x 3½". Extremely good condition.

Worksplate EE Vulcan Works No 3499/D930 of 1964. Ex Class 37 loco number D6942, later 37242. This was one of the first Class 37 to be allocated to Worcester in September 1964 but departed a month later for Canton. Withdrawn January 2006 and cut up at CF Booth Rotherham a month later.
