Totem BR(W) WOLVERHAMPTON LOW LEVEL, F/F. Ex GWR station on the Birmingham Snow Hill to Shrewsbury route. Good condition with no face chips just some mottling.
Worksplate circular brass North British Locomotive Company 1929 No 23828 Hyde Park Works Glasgow. Ex Collett designed GWR 0-6-0PT number 5710. A Cardiff loco that alternated between Cathays and East Dock. Withdrawn August 1957. A scarce plate as most ex GWR Locos built by the NBL were diamond shaped.
Totem BR(W) OLD HILL, F/F. Ex GWR station opened in 1866 at the junction of the line from Birmingham Snow Hill to Stourbridge Junction with lines to Dudley and via Halesowen to Longbridge. Excellent condition with deep colour and shine.
Worksplate fully engraved oval brass `Great Northern Rly Co Doncaster Works No 1258 Makers 1910` Ex N1 Class 0-6-0 Locomotive originally numbered 1563. Later 9443 and finally 69443 by BR. A Bradford Ardsley Loco in BR days. Withdrawn March 1959.

Totem BR(M) HOLYWELL JUNCTION, F/F. Ex L&NWR North Wales coast station. Good condition with one scratch across the face.
Nameplate WILDEBEESTE. Ex 4-6-0 Thompson B1 Locomotive number 1010, later BR 61010 built Darlington in November 1946 under works number 1990. Predominantly a Hull loco, first allocated to Botanic Gardens and then Dairycoates. Withdrawn November 1965. Measuring 48" x 6¾", it is bereft of paint being cleaned by the original owner almost 50 years ago when he obtained it from BR. There are some black paint remnants.
LT Station Target in shaped bronze frame HOLBORN. Three separate enamel sections, the name and two half moons. Excellent condition. Measures 24½" x 19¾" loose in the frame, excellent condition.
Carriage Print `Stokesay Castle, Nr Ludlow, Shropshire` by Frank Sherwin R.I. from the Western series. Virtually mint.
Smokebox Numberplate 90277. Ex WD 2-8-0 `Austerity` locomotive built by the North British Locomotive Company under works number 25268 in January 1943. Allocations include Wakefield, Huddersfield, Wigan, Lostock Hall and Doncaster. Withdrawn in Octobe r 1965. Primed ready for painting.
L&NWR copper Platform Lamp standing 37" tall. Extremely good condition for age.
Wartime Poster, WWII `ATS - For information Ask at any Amy or ATS Recruiting Centre or at the nearest Employment Exchange`. Measuring 10" x 15". Depicts a woman in wartime ATS uniform. Printed for HM Stationery Office by Alf Cooke Ltd. Cent re fold otherwise extremely good.
Wartime Poster, `Let us go forward together`. Depicting a large icon image of Winston Churchill with a backdrop of tanks and aircraft. Folds tears and edge nibbles but a very rare poster. Measuring 20" x 30".
Wartime Poster, `For Britain - Put your money into War Savings`. Depicting a farmer with his blinkered shire horse. Measuring 30" x 20". Issued by the National Savings Committee London, Scottish Savings Committee Edinburgh and printed for H M Stationery Office by J Weiner Ltd. Centre fold otherwise excellent
Wartime Poster, `ATS Carry the Messages - The Motorcyclist Messenger roaring across country from Headquarters to scattered units is now an ATS girl`. Depicts a lady ATS motorcyclist with German bombers in the air above. Measuring 29½" x 19" ;. Folds otherwise excellent.
Welsh Language Wartime Poster, `War Savings - I Weithio`r Holl Beiriannau - Cynhyrchant Nerth - Cynydda`u Gwerth`. Measuring 30" x 20". Depicts a farmer on tractor peering into the sky filled with RAF bombers. Folds otherwise excellent.
Wartime Poster, `Britain`s Sea Power is Yours` by Walter Thomas. Measuring 30" x 20". Depicts Destroyers in Line Ahead, issued by the Admiralty and printed for HM Stationery Office by Alf Cooke Ltd. Excellent condition.
Wartime Poster, `Thousands of Women Needed Now in the ATS, WAAF - Vital to the Offensive - No British Woman will stand a side as the hour approaches`. Measuring 20" x 30". Depicts soldier, sailor and airman walking passed a woman reading th e poster. Printed for HM Stationery Office by J Weiner Ltd. Folds, top left corner loss and some edge tape marks, but a rare poster.
Wartime Poster, `Join the Crusade - Buy National Savings Certificates`. Measuring 20" x 30". Depicts a handheld staff flying the Union Jack with flaming cross a top. Issued by the National Savings Committee and printed for the HM Stationery Office by Fosh & Cross Ltd. Minor edge crinkling and one edge repair otherwise extremely vibrant.
Wartime Poster, `Remember Scarborough - Enlist Now`. Measuring 30" x 20". Published by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee London and printed by Harrison & Sons. Folds and some edge crinkling.
Wartime Poster, `Men Enlist Now - To delay is dangerous when your country needs you`. Measuring 21½ x 29". A simple but effective image with Union Jack at the top and text bordered in Red, White and Blue. Published by the Parliamentary Recruitin g Committee London - Poster No 67 and printed by Roberts & Leete. Minor creases and edge damage.
Poster, `Keep a Good Balance in the Trustee Savings Bank by D A Post Le Bon Studio. Measuring 20" x 30". Depicts an elegant ballerina on a blue scrub background. Issued by National Savings Committee and printed for the HM Stationery Office by TB & Co. Centre fold otherwise excellent.
BR(E) flangeless enamel Doorplate TICKET OFFICE measuring 18" x 3½". Extremely good condition. Together with a BR(E) enamel Notice re Conditions upon which Tickets are issued...etc. Measures 6" x 4" and is in excellent condition.
Smokebox Numberplate 48259. Ex Stanier 8F 2-8-0 Locomotive built by the North British Locomotive Co as WD 70504. Taken into BR stock to Crewe in 1949 and served at Bescot and Mold Junction. Withdrawn July 1965. Face restored, back looks to have some old primer.
Brass Oil Box from ex S&D Loco 53803 that was built at Derby in 1914 and numbered 83. When renumbered by the LMS in 1930 it became 9673 and this is clearly stamped on the front of the box. It was renumbered again in 1932 to 13803 and this number is also stamped on the front. BR renumbered to 53803. The box was actually sited on the firebox back head on the footplate. Upon withdrawal at Bath Green Park, the loco was cannibalised and this box ended up on 53809. Geoff Akers, one time S&D Fireman at Green Park, recovered it from that loco at Barry scrapyard in October 1969 when he was an S&D member helping in the recovery of 53808. Geoff presented the box to the current vendor after it had lain in a garden shed for almost 41 years.
BR(M) enamel Capbadges, qty 8 comprising: L-O-W Inspector; Porter, fishtail; Guard, fishtail; Foreman, totem; Porter, totem; Guard, totem; x 2 British Railways , totem. All in extremely good condition.
Button Whistles, qty 3 comprising: early Great Eastern Railway; early, small Great Northern Railway; Great Northern Railway Thunderer. Together with qty2 `Metropolitan style`, one GCR and one LNER. Finally an LNER `organ-pipe` style by Acme.
GNR double pie-crust Handlamp brass plated `Great Northern Railway WALTHAM No 6`. Matching top and bottom numbers 11997Complete with interior reservoir and burner. Tastefully restored.
Cabside Numberplate 5013. Ex GWR Castle Class Locomotive built Swindon in June 1932 and named ABERGAVENNY CASTLE. Initially allocated to Newton Abbot and later to Landore. Final allocation was Neath. Withdrawn July 1962. Face restored, rear unrestore d.
Signal Box mahogany cased Block Instrument showing typically `Train On Line/Line Clear` together with similar with front glass missing showing `Train Entered Section/Line Clear.
BR(M) enamel sign BUS SERVICE, 25" x 5¾". Extremely good condition.
Worksplate `The Baldwin Locomotive Works Philadelphia USA No 49731 dated 1918`. Ex Class 0-1 (3rd batch) 2-8-0 locomotive built for the American Great Northern Railway in September 1918. Measures 9¼" in diameter and is in ex loco condition.
Totem BR(S) KNOCKHOLT, F/F dark green. Ex SECR station between Chiselhurst and Sevenoaks. Excellent condition.
Alloy Key Token LLANDOVERY No 2 - LLANGADOG. Ex GWR section on the now `Heart of Wales` line.
Early, all copper Locomotive Lamp standing 19" tall and having a 6" diameter bullseye lens. Nicely polished and comes complete with reservoir and burner.
GWR steel and cast aluminium Tablet Holder with `GWR` cast into the back. Very uncommon, used in the Forest of Dean area.
Totem, BR(M) MOSTYN, F/F. Ex LNWR station between Chester and Rhyl. In good overall condition.
Enamel Advertising Thermometer `Lyons Tea - Degrees Better`. Measures 30" x 10",with deep flange all around, orange white and blue with central thermometer in full working order. Quite superb condition.
Brewery Advertising Slate Sign, `Draught Bass`, gold shaded lettering on a white ground, 19" x 12".
Pictorial Advertising Enamel Sign "There`s No Tea Like Phillips". Some excellent restoration. Measuring 36" x 48".
Enamel Advertising Sign `Everard`s Burton Ales In Bottle - Gentlemen The Best`, 10" x 16"/ Red and yellow on black ground with circular image at top showing man taking his tipple. Makers name bottom right `Stocal, Burton`. Excellent condit ion.
Enamel Advertising Sign `Evans Antiseptic Throat Pastilles For All Affections Of The Throat`, 24" x 11". Semi pictorial, red and black lettering on a yellow ground with a left hand holding a packet of the said Pastilles on the left hand sid e. Small amount of edge chipping otherwise extremely good.
Enamel Adverting Sign `British Express Dairy - Engine Brands - The Finest Table Butter Of India`, 20" x 15". An undated, Indian produced enamel depicting a fine image of an LNWR (loosely) locomotive hauling a rake of carriages with a pastur e of cows in the background. White and pink lettering on a blue ground surrounds the central image. Small amount of edge chipping (touched over with paint) and a very small area of restoration on the loco, otherwise excellent.
Enamel Advertising Finger-plate ` Lipton`s Tea - |Honest Tea Is The Best Policy - Largest Sale In The World. Measures just 7" x c3", red and white lettering on dark blue ground. One chip centre right edge otherwise excellent.
Enamel Advertising Sign `Irvine`s Pure Australian Wines - Red & White Burgundies`. Measures 20" x10", white and red lettering on dark blue ground. A few minor chips otherwise extremely good.
Enamel Advertising Sign `Brasso Metal Polish` with pictorial image of a can of Brasso on left Measures 20¼" x 10" and is in extremely good condition.
Tinplate Advertising Signs, qty 2 comprising: For Headache Drink Pritchards Health Salt; Oxydol Soaks Boils Washes Clothes Whiter Brighter. Both in virtually mint condition.
Enamel Advertising Sign `Spratts Meat Fibrine Dog Foods`. Yellow on blue ground measuring 18" x 10" and bearing the makers name `Wood & Penfold Ltd., London EC2`.
Advertising enamel Sign `WH Smith`, mounted in a wooden frame.
Advertising enamel Sign `Woodbine`. Measures 36" x 18" dark blue ground with cigarette packet on top. Good condition in wooden frame.
GWR enamel Sugg Mexican Hat Lamp complete with fittings, frog and glass globe.
L&NWR mahogany cased Block Bell with 4" circular bell mounted atop a 9" x 9" case. Excellent condition.
London Transport 1938 Stock enamel Destination Plates, qty 3 comprising:- High Barnet - Morden, white on black; Finsbury Park - Euston, white on black; Metropolitan - Circle, black on yellow. All three have original bronze ends and all are in excelle nt condition.
Nottingham Corporation Motorbus Request Stop enamel sign, white on red, double sided measuring 15¾" x 14¾" with hanging bracket. Together with a Bradford Corporation enamel Bus Stop Sign 12" x 11½" and a screen printed Halifax Pas senger Transport sign Tuel Lane via King Cross and Beech Road No 67. Double sided 20" x 15".
Thames Valley double sided Bus Stop Request, black on white with deep flange, 18" x 15". Excellent condition. Together with a Reading Corporation Transport double sided Bus Stop sign with `Queue This Side` and Queue Other Side` as differenc e. Red and black on beige ground, 11¼" x 16½".
LNER Loco Handlamps, a collection of 7 in total, three with pie-crust tops one of which is stamped `ANN` (Annesley) another stamped `COL` (Colwick); qty 3 saucer-top one stamped `YKD` (York); one flat top. All complete and tastefully restored.
Totem BR(S) MINSTER THANET, F/F. Ex SECR station between Canterbury and Ramsgate. Opened as Minster in 1846 and renamed Minster Junction in 1852 and Minster Thanet in 1945. Some chipping but overall very good.
Poster `New Pullman Services - Commencing 12th Sept 1960`, D/R size. Photographic style with the blue Pullman at the top and an interior view below. Published by British Railways Western Region, printed by Waterlow & Son. Good condition overall.
LNER C/I Seatback GUISBOROUGH measuring 35½" in length. Ex terminus of the Middlesbrough and Guisborough Railway, later NER and LNER station that served the town of Guisborough in North Yorkshire. Opened on 25 February 1854 and closed, along w ith the entire Nunthorpe to Guisborough branch, on 2 March 1964. Restored. First time to appear at auction.
