Worksplate North British Locomotive Company Ltd Glasgow No 25849 dated 1946. Brass diamond shape. Ex Standard Gauge LNER Thompson Class B1 4-6-0 No. 61093. New to Doncaster in November 1946 subsequently moving to Mexborough in 1959 then back to Donca ster and finally to Langwith Junction. Withdrawn in July 1965 and sent to Cohen’s at Ickles for scrap.

Enamel Sign `Southern Railway to the Station` with left arrow. White on blue ground, measures 18" x 10", only used between 1923 and 1925 so extremely rare, restored.

Polish Railways cast iron Locomotive Emblem, 7½" x 10" showing `PKP` and the Eagle Crest. Together with a Polish Railways cast iron Cabside Numberplate 138, measuring 13¼" x 6½" (This number indicates that the loco was a foreign s team engine, acquired by PKP between 1918 and 1939. Both items in absolutely ex loco condition.

North British Locomotive cast alloy diamond Diesel Cab Plate dated 1962 ex `Baby Warship` class D6338. One of the very last to be withdrawn in January 1972. Face restored.

Oak cased Smokers Box in the form of a SWR Wagon with locking lid. Stands 7" tall x 13" long. Inside are separate compartments and a match striker.

German Cabside Numberplate 58 3042. Ex 2-10-0 heavy freight Prussian G12 Locomotive, originally KPEV ESN 5600 built by Hanomag 9033/1920. Later became East German DR 58.1426 and finally rebuilt in 1961 to 58 3042. Flat steel backplate with riveted burnished steel numbers, overall measurement being 28½" x 8" approximately.

GWR fully titled Enamel Notice `Caution Electric Gear....Instantly Dismissed...etc`. Red lettering on white ground. Bottom left says `Engineers Office, Loco Carriage & Wagon Dept Swindon January 1910`. Measures 11¼" x 11", good conditio n.

Totem, BR(Sc) KINGUSSIE, H/F. Ex Highland Railway station between Aviemore and Pitlochry. Overall very good with a few minor repairs.

Nameplate, SAINT NICHOLAS together with a non original crest. Ex Class 91 locomotive number 91009. Named in December 1992 by the Lord Bishop of Newcastle, removed from the loco in March 1996. Named after the patron saint of children to mark the 900th anniversary of Newcastle Cathedral. Nameplate has ex loco rear and measures 59" in length.

Glass Negatives recovered from Eastleigh Works. There are 10 boxes in total, all 2½" x 3½" HP3 Plate with a few extra, larger examples) Most boxes have circa 15 negatives and the boxes are marked mid 1950`s, most are interior shots of East leigh Works including some workers in the Boiler Shop, Iron Foundry, Brass Shop, C&W, Crane, Prize Giving, also x6 of Diesel 10202. Possibly unique in terms of the history of this famous locomotive works.

Carriage Print `Golden Arrow - Continental Express` by Richard Ward. Stunning view of a Britannia Locomotive hauling the express along the Kent coast, emerging from the famous Shakespeare Tunnel between Dover and Folkestone. Loose in polythene to sho w that it is absolutely mint.

Totem BR(M) KENILWORTH, F/F. Ex LNWR station in Warwickshire, built in 1844 when the Coventry to Leamington (Milverton) line opened. Closed January 1965 but may well re-open soon. One small chip repair otherwise extremely good.

Framed and Glazed `Flag Cigarettes` show card` Depicts an WWI Royal Navy Battleship alongside the Union Flag, 27½" x 14½". Very good condition.

Enamel Bus Sign "Thames Valley Buses Stop By Request". Black on white double sided with deep flange. Flange painted `Fare Stage 13`. Extremely good both sides with just minor chips. Together with a similar except red on white, also excellen t both sides.

Industrial Nameplate BEXHILL. Ex Standard Gauge 0-6-0ST which was built by Manning Wardle as their No. 1365 in 1898. It originally worked for contractors H.M.Nowell and S.Pearson and Co. Ltd before going to the Ministry of Munitions at Darlington. In 1919 it was acquired by J.F.Wake, Dealers , of Darlington and was sold on to James Smith who owned an Ironworks at Hamworthy in Dorset. In about 1937 it moved to the British Sugar Corporation’s Factory at Sproughton just outside Ipswich and was scrapped there in 1952.

Worksplate The Baldwin Locomotive Works Philadelphia 60658 October 1928. Oval cast brass measuring approximately 9¼" diameter and curved to fit the boiler. Ex 5 ft 6 ins Gauge 0-4-0T which went new to Christalerias Rigolleau factory in Argentina . Subsequent history and disposal details unknown.

GER brass cased Pressure Gauges, a pair . The first is a very early Loco Boiler Gauge, porcelain dial measuring 7" diameter with a max pressure of 200 psi, red lined at 140psi. Manufactured by Salter and marked `Bourdon Patent`. The dial is crac ked but still a rare gauge. The second has a 4" enamel dial max pressure 150 psi. This one is in excellent condition.

Tinplate Advertising Sign, stand-up variety `Spratts Dog Medicines - just as reliable as Spratts Famous Dog Foods`. Approx 11" x 8" depicts a healthy Terrier playing ball. Some edge corrosion and minor face corrosion but a great rarity neve rtheless.

Enamel Advertising Sign `Silver Shred Robertson`s Lemon Marmalade`, white with black shadow and yellow lettering on a blue ground, 10"x 15". Good condition, damage around each bolt hole.

Worksplate Beyer Peacock (Hymek) Ltd No 7951 Manchester 1962. Ex Hymek locomotive number D7047, released to traffic in August 1962 and allocated to Bristol Bath Road. Survived for less than 10 years being withdrawn in January 1972 from Old Oak Common . Cut up at BREL Swindon later that year. Undamaged, ex loco condition with original green paint on rear.

GWR Jigsaw `Speed`. Made up on card to show completeness and excellent condition, complete with extremely good box.

Original Painting - "GWR 2987 Bride of Lammermoor" on the sea wall near Teignmouth by Gerald Broom. Measuring 34" x 24". A little crazing in places

Headboard `The Silver Jubilee 1952 - 1977. Wooden overlap construction painted with the England and Scotland Flags, approximately 29½" x 27½". As carried on the inaugural run from Kings Cross to Edinburgh by Deltic 55012 CREPELLO on the 8th June 1977. There are a few great shots of this in the book `Finsbury Park Diesel Maintenance Depot 1960 - 193` by Ian J. Lewis on page 174 and 175. The large shot clearly shows the mounting process. An historic Deltic item.

L&NWR cast iron Tender Plate No 253. Would have been fitted to a wide variety of locomotives.

Nameplate CRIB GOCH. Ex Class 60 locomotive number 60095 built by Brush and released to traffic 13th March 1992 to Immingham with the nameplate already applied. Nameplate removed July 1997. Measures 39½" x 9¾" in pretty much ex loco conditi on. Note: Named after a mountain in Snowdonia.

GWR brass Signal Box Shelf Plate RUMNEY BRIDGE Jc MAIN LINE. Quite possibly from St Mellons West Signal Box between Ebbw and Cardiff.

GWR cast iron rectangular Craneplate `G.W.R ENGg DEPT No 150 over 3 lines measuring 10¾" x 5¾", white on black ground.

Worksplate W.G. Bagnall Ltd 2390 Stafford England. Ex GWR Collett design 57XX Pannier Tank number 6709. Withdrawn 1958.

LMS Lucas King Of The Road 1920`s Rear Lamp ex LMS Road Cart. Brass construction standing 8¾" tall with clear lens and small red lens to side. An electric bulb fitting to the rear suggests this may have been a `transitional` design. The accompan ying letter and copy of original Lucas Catalogue shows this to be a rear lamp, the clear lens to light the vehicle numberplate and the red to show the back of the vehicle. Stamped `LMS 1766B` it carries the standard King Of The Road makers plate showing Lamp Number 631 to the front and there is also an additional plate at the rear `1756` possibly added by the LMS. Complete with screw-out reservoir and burner. Acquired by the vendor`s Grandfather in the 1930`s from Euston Goods. A most desirable lamp.

Smiths 0 - 100 mph Speedometer as fitted to Bulleid Pacifics. Alloy case retaining the 2 pin plug on rear. Original makers plate shows manufacture date as 5/60. Untested but the needle is free to move so may well still be functional. Reputedly origin ated from a Merchant Navy Class loco but we are unable to confirm this.

BR(M) enamel Doorplate PARCELS, F/F, 18" x 3½". Ex Kings Norton station, excellent condition with deep colour and shine and only very minor blemished.

Totem BR(S) BALHAM, F/F dark green with black border. Ex LB&SCR station on the Victoria to Brighton line, opened in 1856 and was originally named Balham Hill. Excellent, undamaged condition with deep colour and shine. Not common at all.

GWR cast iron rectangular plate `G.W.R MATCH TRUCK CRANE No 30` over 3 lines measuring 15" x 6", white lettering on black ground.

Target SR BECKENHAM JUNCTION. Opened in 1857 by the Mid Kent Railway as a terminus from Lewisham. Measures 32" x 13" and has some areas of restoration. Mounted on an original style wooden board.

Worksplate Sentinel (Shrewsbury) Ltd Loco No 9535. Rectangular brass measuring 5¼" x 4". Ex Standard Gauge 100 hp 4wVBT loco that went new on the 14 May 1952 to the National Coal Board West Midlands Division at Silverdale Colliery in Staff ordshire. No name or number. Out of use by 1968 and then on 10 October 1972 acquired by the Foxfield Light Railway at Dilhorne for preservation. Spent some time at the Telford (Horsehay) Steam Trust, Horsehay, Shropshire from June 1981 but appears to be currently back at Foxfield.
