Worksplate "British Railways Crewe Built 1964 Power Equipment by Brush Electrical Engineering Company Ltd and Sulzer". Ex Class 47 locomotive originally numbered D1595 then TOPS number 47469. A western region loco for most of its life but e nded up in Scotland. Withdrawn March 1989 and cut up later that year at MC Metals. Face cleaned rear ex loco with prolific blue paint runs.

L&NWR 3 aspect Guards Handlamp No A36964. Bears a location plate `LMS TFC Dept YNYSDDL` Complete with reservoir and burner. Note Ynysddl was a station was between Pontllanfraith and Risca, the Lower Goods being on the L&NWR Penllwyn Tramway.

Smokebox Numberplate 69677. Ex GER 0-6-2T N7 Class Locomotive built Gorton Works December 1927 and numbered 2637. Later numbered 9677 and finally 69677 by BR. A Stratford loco until withdrawal in November 1960.

North British Railway Platform Lamp Case in pretty much original condition and still with original, white opaque sloping top glass.

Worksplate Kitson & Co No 1903 Leeds 1873 Engineers. Oval, engraved brass construction measuring 10¾" x 6½". Ex 3ft 9ins Gauge 4-6-0T No.2 at one time named “Fowler”. Supplied new to the Bilbao Iron Ore Co Ltd in Northern S pain for use on their 23 kilometre line which connected the iron ore mines near Galdames to staithes at La Iberia near Sestao. There was considerable cannibalisation of parts and several locos did not necessarily carry their original identities. By the mid-1960s there was little ore traffic and some time after then the loco was scrapped. Face polished, back unrestored.

LSWR enamel Signalbox Block Instrument plate BOSCARNE JNC. Black lettering and border on a white ground, 3¾" x 1". Originated from Nanstallon Ground Frame and was fitted to the Bell to Boscarne Junction on the Bodmin to Wadebridge route.

LT&SR Co cast iron Wagon Registration Plate 1903 No 281. A rare plate in excellent condition and complete with undamaged lugs.

GWR Pre grouping Guards Pocket Watch manufactured by Rotherhams of London in the latter part of the 19th century. The case is in good condition and is hand engraved GWR 1697 on the rear, the top wind and button set movement is in good clean working c ondition, the dial with GWR enamelled at the top is free from chips but has a small hairline crack which could be cleaned and would appear invisible. Altogether a nice example of an early GWR watch.

Worksplate Beyer Peacock (Hymek) Ltd No 7895 Manchester 1961. Ex Hymek locomotive number D7001. To service in July 1961 and allocated to Bristol. Withdrawn in 1974 and cut up at Cohens in 1975. Small amount of damage to bottom right bolt hole.

GWR EPNS Oil & Vinegar Bottle Holder with handle which is nicely marked with the GWR Hotels emblem. The two stoppered bottles aren`t marked so could be replacements.

North British Locomotive Company Glasgow brass diamond Worksplate No 26904 dated 1952. Ex 3 ft 6 ins Gauge Sudan Government Railways 2-8-2 Class 310 No. 314 one of a batch of nineteen. It is understood that the Class operated into the 1970s but appea r to have gone by the end of the century.

BR(M) Totem Sign `BRITISH RAILWAYS, flangeless measuring 32" x 8". A very uncommon sign, some mottling and edge touching-in but good overall colour and shine.

South African Railways dual language, brass Cabside Numberplate 2397 Class GF. Ex 4-6-2+2-6-4, 3`6" Gauge `double-pacific` Garratt Locomotive built 1927 by Hanomag in Germany under works number 10539.

Pullman 5" diameter Silver Plate Ice Bucket. Hand engraved `Pullman` at top rim and stamped with Coat of Arms mid centre. Complete with lift-up handle.

Great Central Railway single dial Signalling Block Instrument bearing ivorine plate "Up Branch". The dial is clearly marked with company initials beneath the indicating aperture. Original, ex box condition.

Cambrian Railway 12" Oak Cased Fusee Dial Clock. Original, early chain drive fusee movement with `A` shaped plates looks like it has been recently cleaned and overhauled, the oak case has 2 side doors, bottom door and eight piece segmented surro und and the original dial shows BR-W. complete with Ivorine plate G.W.R. 534. on the back of box is chalked FAIRBOURNE which was a former Cambrian station. A rare clock. In working condition complete with pendulum and Key. Circa 1890

LMS Hawkseye ABERSYCHAN AND TALYWAIN. Ex GWR station, oened in 1878 by the Brynmawr and Blaenavon Railway later absorbed into the London and North Western Railway connecting with the Heads of the Valleys Line taking coal directly to the Midlands. A j unction with the Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway led to joint use once that railway was absorbed into the Great Western Railway. Passenger use ceased during the Second World War, the first day without service being 5 May 1941 but general goods were carried until 1954 and the line was used by the Big Pit at Blaenavon until the coal mine closed in 1980.The sign is in two halves and in totally original condition.

Monmouthshire Railway/GWR Track Marker No 80, ex Newport Dock Street Gwent Coal Concentration Depot. Formerly MR & CC Dock Street Passenger Station. It was actually sited at 0.71 miles on the Neutral Mile Newport. A photograph in situ accompanies . A very rare item not seen previously.

Smokebox Numberplate 4248. Ex GWR 2-8-0T locomotive built Swindon 1916 and allocated to South Wales for heavy coal traffic including Llanelly, St Philips Marsh, Canton, Newport and Severn Tunnel Junction. Sold 9/10/63 to Woodham’s and languishe d at Barry for a while until it was rescued for static display at Swindon Steam Museum. Very likely a late replacement but absolutely genuine as removed by the vendor. Face restored, rear original.

Worksplate LMS Built 1921 Armstrong Whitworth. Ex Caledonian Railway/LMS Pickersgill Class 72 4-4-0 locomotive CR No 85 LMS 14490 and finally BR No 54490. Withdrawn 1960.

GWR cast iron Signal Box Board TACKLEY CROSSING GROUND FRAME. Ex GWR Cherwell Valley location between Heyford and Oxford.

LNER 9 x 5 Works Numberplate `London & North Eastern Railway 7127 Rebuilt Stratford Works 1920`. Ex Standard Gauge Holden Class F3 2-4-2T built at Stratford in 1893 as Great Eastern Railway No. 1079 becoming 8079 under the LNER in 1924. It was re numbered 7127 in May 1946 and then 67127 by British Railways in January 1949. Sheds after Nationalisation included Norwich, Lowestoft and finally Ipswich from where it was withdrawn in April 1953. Scrapped at Stratford Works.

G&SWR Wagon Stock Book 1910, measuring 8" x 5". Lists 32 wagons and line drawings of wagons. Hardback in excellent condition.

Original Southern Railway Travelling Model in wooden case of `U` Class Engine. Crafted at Eastleigh Works, the front of the case is stencilled `Model Of a U Class Engine Full Size 16`. This is a unique item.
