Ex Indonesian Railways 2-6-6-0 Mallet tank engine No. CC 1009, which was shedded at Tjibatu in Java and worked from there on the branch to Garut and Tjikajang. (See page 70 of “PNKA Power Parade, Indonesian Steam Locomotives” by A. E. Durrant.) Measures 14¼" x 6¾" approximately, cleaned back and front.

Nameplate MARKHAM COLLIERY. Ex BR Type 5 Co-Co Class 58 locomotive 58003. Built at BREL Doncaster in July 1983 and allocated to Toton. Named in November 1988 by Tony Deakin who was Area Manager of British Coal . Removed to store with plates fitted i n November 1999. Still had plates in situ in 2005. Loco cut up in August 2010 at EMF Kingsbury being the 2nd class 58 to be disposed of. In Ex loco condition measuring 51¼" x 17½ ". Comes with original Certificate and plenty of photo’s in situ.
Worksplate brass 9" x 5" London & North Eastern Railway No 5420 Rebuilt Stratford Works 1916. Ex J15 class 0-6-0 Tank locomotive. Originally numbered 7934 later 5420 and then 65420 by BR. The loco was withdrawn in August 1962.
Totem, BR(M) RUGELEY TOWN, F/F. Ex Midland Railway Station between Birmingham and Derby. Good colour and shine with a few areas of edge restoration.
GWR cast iron Locomotive Cab Warning Notice as fitted above the left (nearside) window of all GWR locomotives.
Turkish Railways Star & Crescent brass badge as carried on TCDD locomotive cab sides, usually above the numberplates. Mounted on a circular wooden board measuring 9½" in diameter, ready for display.
Worksplate LMS Rebuilt 1914 Derby. Ex Johnson Class 0F LMS number 1516, later BR number 41516. A long time Burton loco withdrawn 1955.
Smokebox Numberplate 48741. Ex Stanier 8F freight locomotive, built Darlington Works in February 1946. Allocations include Saltley, Heaton Mersey, York, Crewe South, Buxton and Trafford Park. Withdrawn October 1967 and sold 8/12/67 to Buttigieg of N ewport. To Shrewsbury Concentration Point 23/1/68. Sent to breaker 17/4/68.

Midland Railway / LMS Mahogany cased 10" drop dial chisel bottom trunk English fusee clock. The wire fusee movement which has recently been cleaned and oiled has rectangular plates with turned pillars. The original dial bears the writing L.M.S. JOYCE WHITCHURCH 10613 and is in good condition, the case is also free from repairs and is in original condition and has an Brass numberplate fixed to it L.M.S. 10613. A very rare example of a Joyce clock and was used in the station at Bromsgrove, this was confirmed by the vendor who purchased it direct from the Station in the late 1960`s when he worked for British Road Services who were based there, Bromsgrove is also lightly scratched on the movement backplate. Complete with pendulum and Key. Circa 1920`s
GWR ivorine Signal Box Shelf Plate `HIGHBRIDGE EAST B` together with a Southern Railway oval enamel Shelf Plate "B" BOX UP STARTING SIGNAL. Originated from the ex GWR Signal Box `Highbridge West` when the brass plates elsewhere in this auct ion were replaced with the re-naming of the two S&D boxes. A nice mix of GWR and S&D.
Nameplate PRESTON GUILD 1328-1992. Ex BR/EE 25kv Bo-Bo Class 86 originally numbered E3151. Built by the English Electric Co under works number E3732/E392 in April 1996. Renumbered 86212 in September 1973 and named by the Mayor of Preston at Preston s tation on the 16th May 1992. Newton pattern, double liner measuring 51¾" x 13½". The loco had a spell at East Ham FM Rail on static Carriage Heating duties but was eventually scrapped in 2011 at EMR, Kingsbury.
Totem, BR(NE) POCKLINGTON, H/F. Ex NER station between Beverley and York, closed in 1965 although the station buildings are listed.
Worksplate LMS Built 1891 Horwich. Ex Aspinall Class 27 locomotive built for the L&YR and numbered 1066. Later LMS 12107 and finally BR 52107.Allocations include Nuneaton, Rhyl and Springs Branch. Withdrawn in 1953.

Alloy Key Token NORTON JCT - EVESHAM No 16. Has original red paint. This section between Worcester Shrub Hill and Oxford on the Cotswold Line.
Smokebox Numberplate 48383. Ex Stanier 8F locomotive, built Horwich in January 1945. A Kirkby-in-Ashfield loco for just about its entire life. Withdrawn January 1966 and sold to Cashmore of Great Bridge. Sent to breaker 29/3/66. Taken into breaker y ard 30/3/66 from where the plate was obtained along with the Stanier hooter elsewhere in this auction. Totally ex loco condition.
Stanier Hooter recovered from ex Stanier 8F locomotive 48383, built Horwich in January 1945. A Kirkby-in-Ashfield loco for just about its entire life. Withdrawn January 1966 and cut up at Great Bridge from where it was obtained along with the Smokebo x Numberplate elsewhere in this auction. It retains the original cab bulkhead plate and pipe, a rare `extra` indeed. Totally ex loco condition.
Pullman Lamp ex 3rd Class Car PEGGY complete with original pink shade. Circular base clearly stamped `PEGGY` with ornate finial on top. In ex car condition, with no shade cracks. A delightful example.

Totem, BR(M) GREAT HARWOOD, F/F narrow style face drilled wall-mounting variety. Ex L&YR station between Burnley and Blackburn opened in 1877 and closed in December 1957.
South African Railways single language, brass Cabside Numberplate 2258 Class GDA. Ex 2-6-2+2-6-2 `double prairie` Garratt Locomotive built by Linke - Hoffmann in 1929 under works number 3118. The original receipt from the SAR Stores Department accomp anies.
Worksplate LMS Built 1924 Derby. Ex Fowler 4-4-0 Compound locomotive LMS number 1083 later BR 41083. A long time Derby loco, withdrawn in 1958.
Smokebox Numberplate 31846. Ex Southern Railway Maunsell N Class locomotive built Ashford 1924. Allocations include Salisbury and Exmouth Junction. Withdrawn week ending 5/9/64. Sold 14/10/64 to Cohen of Morriston. Has a BR weld which doesn`t detract .
GWR brass Signal Box Shelf Plate FROM S&D B BOX. Ex `Highbridge West` box on the Bristol to Taunton main line , opened by the GWR in 1914 to control the flat crossing of the S&D J Rly across it own metals. The S&D had a signal box either side if the crossing and had control interlocked with the GWR West Box. The two boxes being `B Box` and `Loco Box`. Post nationalisation the S&D boxes were re-named, with `Highbridge B` becoming `Highbridge East B` (closed 16th May 1965) and `Loco Box` becoming `Highbridge East C`. This plate came from the GWR Box around 1948 being replaced by Ivorine Shelf Plates with the new descriptions.
Carriage Print, `Berwick-on-Tweed` by John C Moody RE RI from the LNER original Pre War series issued 1937-1939. This unframed print is in mint condition. A very rare print .
Worksplate English Electric Company London No 3106/D656 1961 The Vulcan Foundry Ltd Locomotive Works England. Ex EE Class 40 originally numbered D360, later 40160. Released to traffic September 1961 and allocated new to Haymarket. Withdrawn November 1984 and cut up at Crewe in February 1987. Front edge and rear retains original chrome plating, the face may have been repainted.
Painted Notice `No Spotters Without Prior Authority - No Access To Station`. Measures 24" x 30", as discovered in the old tunnel leading to Stratford East. A great rarity.
GWR Pictorial Enamel Map `To Ireland by the New Fishguard Route`. This is the extremely rare, small version measuring approximately 12" x 10". Small amount of edge restoration otherwise quite stunning.
Southern Railway Shipping wooden Brochure & Pamphlet Rack beautifully marked at the top `GRATUITOUS SR (intertwined) FOR TIMETABLES SEE PURSER`. Nicely polished, it has 5 compartments and 3 rows measuring overall 21" tall x 14" wide x 7 " deep.
Nameplate NORWICH UNION including the separate Badge. Ex BR/EE 25kv Bo-Bo Class 86 originally numbered E3158. Built by the English Electric Co under works number E3739/E399 in July 1966. Renumbered 86233 under TOPS in November 1973 and named by Gavi n Blake, a member of staff of NU at Norwich station on 1st December 1987. Newton pattern. measuring 59½" x 9¾" , the badge measures 12¾" x 12¾". Scrapped in 2011at EMR, Kingsbury.
Railway Police Truncheon `Midland Counties Railway Police No 37`. Measuring 15¾" in length with typical, turned handle, it carries the crown of King William IV at the top and beneath is the four segment crest of the four counties of the railway, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Warwickshire. The Midland Counties Railway (MCR) 1832 to 1844, connecting Nottingham, Leicester and Derby with Rugby and thence, via the London and Birmingham Railway, to London. The MCR system connected with the North Midland Railway and the Birmingham and Derby Junction Railway in Derby. Eventually absorbed into the Midland Railway.
Worksplate NBL 22123/1919. Ex GWR 2-8-0 ROD locomotive number 3016. One of the successful first batch locomotive that Swindon acquired and overhauled to a standard synonymous with GWR practice. Unlike a handful of RODs, this particular loco didn`t su rvive into BR days.
Totem BR(S) RAMSGATE, F/F dark green. Ex South Eastern Railway Kent Coast station between Dover and Margate opened in October 1863. One small chip repair otherwise extremely good.
LMS Shedplate 4A Shrewsbury. A great rarity indeed.
GWR enamelled Silver Medallion in original case `GWR Staff Association` with the obverse marked `Arts & Crafts 1938 O.E. Eamer`
LNER Kesick 3" Butter Dish and a small 3¼" Kesick Plate. Both in excellent condition.
LMS Hawkseye KEIGHLEY. Opened in 1847 by the Leeds & Bradford Extension Railway, later Midland Railway, it is situated between Skipton and Shipley and also the terminus for the Keighley & Worth Heritage Railway. Black lettering and border on a pale yellow ground with rear painted black.
Worksplate Yorkshire Engine Co. 2254 Meadow Hall Works 1930. Ex GWR Collett design 57XX Pannier Tank number 6730. Withdrawn in 1957.
Nameplate AMETHYST. Ex LMS Stanier Jubilee Class 4-6-0 numbered 5700, later 45700. Built Crewe Works April 1936 carrying the name from 1951 after re-naming from BRITANNIA. Allocations include Newton Heath, Blackpool, Bank Hall, Derby and Warrington. Withdrawn August 1964.
Nameplate BRITANNIA. Ex LMS Stanier Jubilee Class 4-6-0 numbered 5700, later 45700. Built Crewe Works April 1936 carrying the name until 1951 when it was removed to enable the new Britannia Pacific 70000 to carry the name and avoid duplication. Re-n amed AMETHYST after the Royal Navy ship HMS Amethyst involved in the Yangste River incident of 1949. Allocations include Newton Heath, Blackpool, Bank Hall, Derby and Warrington. Withdrawn August 1964.
