Smokebox Numberplate 44263. Ex LMS 4F class 0-6-0 locomotive built Derby 1926. Allocations include Lower Darwen Rowsley, Skipton and Saltley. Sold to Draper of Hull. Taken in by breaker 23/8/65. Cut up week ending 28/8/65.
Midland Railway 10" wall mounted `Hook and Spike` English fusee clock. The wire fusee movement has rectangular plates with turned pillars. The original dial bears the writing BR-W and is in good condition, the original tinplate back box has a B R-W traffolite numberplate fixed to the top BR-WR 5000. This clock is confirmed by the vendor as having been last in use at Bredon signalbox. These clocks were supplied by MANN of Gloucester to the Midland railway, complete with pendulum and Key, however the clock isn’t currently working properly, but is complete. Circa 1870`s

Enamel Maidstone & District Motor Services Radiator Plate, triangular, 6" x 5½".
North British Locomotive Company Glasgow brass diamond Worksplate No 26954. Ex 3 ft 6 ins Gauge Sudan Government Railways 2-8-2 Class 310 No. 320 one of a batch of nineteen. It is understood that the Class operated into the 1970s but appear to have gone by the end of the century.
British Railways Class 31 plates mounted on a board for display purposes. Ex 31416 (qty 19) and ex 31136 (qty 15) .
BR(M) BRITISH RAILWAYS enamel Poster Board Heading, quite possibly ex Kings Norton station. Measures 25½" x 5¾" and is in extremely good condition with deep colour and shine.

Poster, BRB `Intercity Leeds` from an original painting by Brendon Neiland to celebrate the launch of the InterCity 225 from London to Edinburgh. Signed in pencil by the artist and dated 1991. Totem BR(W) MERTHYR, F/F. Originally Merthyr High Street, the station was designed by Brunel and at one time served by no less than five different Welsh Companies. In virtually mint condition.
Worksplate LMS Built 1926 Derby. Fowler `Duck Six` 4F class locomotives in the range 44217–87 were built this particular year.
Alloy Shedplate 86A Cardiff Canton. Ex loco condition with red paint to front and green paint on edges, probably ex class 37 locomotive.
GWR early, gilt brass Hotel Ashtray. Measures 9" long with ornate company initials on face. Most unusual.
Midland Railway, cast iron Lamp Post with both ladder arms present. Still in the ground in south Leicestershire. To be uplifted and collected by the Buyer in conjunction with the vendor (who is not able to assist removal)
LBSCR enamel 37" X 10¾" PASSENGERS MUST NOT CROSS THE LINE , with some restoration. An uncommon sign.

Totem BR(S) COULSDON NORTH, F/F. Ex LB&SCR station opened as Stoats Nest and Cane Hill on 5th November 1899 between Purley and Earlswood. Closed October 1983.
GWR Hotels Sherry Glasses, qty 6 each being 4" tall and 2" in diameter. Each has the GWR Hotels roundel logo etched onto the side. A quite delightful set.
Original Oil on canvas Painting `Robin Hood at Colchester North` by Malcolm Root dated 1983, depicting Britannia 4-6-2 Pacific 70038 Robin Hood on The Day Continental. Measures 26½" x 22" in frame. A quite superb and evocative vie of the t rain coming into the station with Signal Box in background and a couple of young spotters looking on in awe.
Southern Railway Sykes Signal Box Block Bell, split case example with the Sykes circular brass plate affixed and also the black on white enamel plate BECKENHAM BELL. Superb condition and a very nice example indeed.
LNER Policeman`s Tunic and Cape with original Truncheon stamped `778 GER`, a pair of Handcuffs, a wartime Police Tin Helmet, a Metropolitan Whistle, a GER Helmet Badge number 247 and LNER Helmet Badge. The accompanying photograph is of the Father of the vendor who was a GER Policeman. The tunic still has three war medal ribbons attached.
Carriage Print `Appleby Westmorland` by Ellis Silas from the LMR series. In an original glazed frame.
BR(M) enamel Doorplate STATION MASTER, F/F, 18" x 6". Good colour and shine, minor restoration.
Smokebox Numberplate 68552. Ex GER 0-6-0T J67 later J69 Class Locomotive built Stratford June 1894. Spent many years in Scotland but allocated to Stratford in the early 1950`s with spells at Colchester and Parkeston Quay. Withdrawn September 1961.
GER wooden Carriage Boards Kings Lynn, white on black and Cromer, white on red. Together with qty 5 internal wooden doorplates comprising:- Private (x2); Gentlemen; Freight Rolling Stock Control; Finance Registry.
BR(E) enamel Sign `Rights Of Way Act 1932- …Way Not Dedicated To The Public. Measures 10" x 8" and is in excellent condition with deep colour and shine. Together with Enamel sign `This Door For Emergency Use Only - To Open Door Lift H andle`. White lettering on dark blue ground, 20½" x 5". In excellent condition.
Framed & Glazed Watercolour Painting `SS Great Britain` by J.E. Wigston GRA. Measures 27½" x 17".

Midland Railway cast iron Signal Finials, a pair, both unrestored.
LNER 9 x 5 Works Numberplate `London & North Eastern Railway 7155 Rebuilt Stratford Works 1924`. Ex Standard Gauge Holden Class J65 0-6-0T built at Stratford in 1889 as Great Eastern Railway No, 155 becoming 7155 under LNER ownership. In 1946 it was renumbered 8211 and then 68211 under British Railways. In the early days these locos were used on the Fenchurch Street to Blackwell services where because of the sharp curves they ran as 2-4-0Ts by having the front driving wheels uncoupled. They became known as “Blackwell Tanks”. It was latterly an Ipswich loco and was used on the docks there.
Great Eastern Railway enamel Lamp Tablet BURWELL with original `bow-tie` bracket. Black on white, 19½" x 4½". The station was between Swaffham Prior and Fordham on the Cambridge to Mildenhall Branch, closed forever in April 1965.
Totem BR(W) DEVONPORT, F/F black and white. Ex Cornwall Railway, later GWR station opened 4th May 1859 on the main route from Plymouth to Cornwall. A very rare example in extremely good condition with excellent colour and shine.
Alloy Road Sign with reflective beads all intact `A41 Newport` pointing left and `A464 Oakengates` pointing right. Measures 60" x 27" and originated from Tetenhall. The modern equivalent would point to Telford and not Oakengates.
Fingerpost Road Sign, cast alloy `Albrighton 4¼, Kingswood 2¾` double sided measuring 36" in length. Together with a similar `Trysull 4, Selsdon 3` measuring 30½" in length Both originated from a road sign at Pattingham.
Swan`s Neck electric Street Lamp together with a cast iron height extension piece. Originated from the corner of the station approach road at Bromsgrove station. Note that many old gas lamp posts were left in situ when electricity came into use.
GWR brass Signal Box Shelf Plate HATTON SOUTH. Machine engraved, most likely from Hatton North Box.
BR(W) double sided enamel sign `WAY OUT` with double flight arrow beneath, 18" x 24". Originated from Cradley Heath & Cradley station on the Stourbridge Platform. Colour has mottled, retains original mounting brackets.
Shedplate 86B Newport Pill until June 1963 and then Ebbw Junction until May 1973. Face restored, rear original.
