Enamel Advertising Sign `Hudsons Soap - For The People - In Packets - In Fine Powder` Typical Hudsons sign with the left handlamp shining a beam across the sign, code in lamp is `LNS`. Some edge chipping but a vibrant sign nevertheless.
Signal Finial, organ-pipe style as used by a variety of Scottish Railway Companies including the G&SWR, GNSR, NBR and Caledonian Railway.

Totem BR(Sc) BARNHILL, F/F. Ex GSWR & NBR joint station between Springburn and Alexandra Parade on the outskirts of Glasgow.
BR(E) enamel sign `LONDON`, F/F, 54" x 6". Unusual.
GWR brass Signal Box Lever Plates, qty 5. Fairly standard descriptions but what makes them somewhat special is that they are all confirmed to be ex Frome Signal Box
Southern Railway Official Works Photographs, qty 3:- L&SWR 4-8-0 No 492, 27" x 17¼" in glazed frame; Southern Railway 850 Lord Nelson, 20" x 17¼" in a glazed frame; LSWR 4-6-0 No 498, 29" x 22" in a glazed frame. All hung in the Draughtsman`s Offices at Eastleigh Works.
Romanian Railways cast iron Locomotive Cabside Plates, a pair. The first is the C.F.R. plate (Caile Ferate Române) measuring 16½" x 9" and the second is the Speed Restriction Plate measuring 12½" x 9" indicating a Maximum Speed of 50 Kms Per Hour. Both in totally ex loco condition.
GER Silver Plate Coffee Pot. GER Bat Wing Crest and also engraved LNER RCGE. Good condition.
GER Presentation Clock. Wood ebonised case and strikes on a gong. Presented to Mr T. Lester by his fellow workmen on his retirement after 55 years services at the GER Ipswich July 1921. In working order, complete with pendulum and key. Attached pape rwork shows photo and record of recipient.
Single Line Steel Key Token WICKFORD - WOODHAM FERRERS. Ex GER section between Shenfield Southminster and Maldon.
LNWR Guards watch By John Walker of London. A brass cased fusee Guards Watch dating from circa 1840, this important timepiece was used by Guards, set and locked at Euston, then travelled with the Guard so he could confirm the time at the Stations at which they stopped. Certainly in use before Greenwich time signals were sent by Telegraph. The Brass case is engraved to the front John Walker 48 Princess Street, Leicester Square, London and to the rear London & North Western Railway No 144 1038. The English Lever fusee movement is in working condition. This is one of the rarest and most important railway watches to come onto the market in recent years.
LNER Chamber Pot with makers name `Minton` beneath. Plain white with black, script initials. Fine condition. Together with a box of EPNS Shipping items to include: Canadian Pacific EPNS Sugar Tongs, very dainty measuring 3" approx in length toge ther with a Canadian Pacific Teaspoon; P&O; British & Commonwealth; New Zealand Line; Anchor Line; Royal Mail Line etc. A very nice assortment.
Southern Railway enamel Please Show Tickets, 16" x 10". Not as common as the BR Southern Region versions.
Carriage Print `Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland` by Leonard Squirrell from the LNER Series. In an original type glazed frame.
BR(Sc) enamel Station Direction Sign STATION with right facing arrow and British Railways totem logo at the top. Measures 21½" x 10¾" approx. Some face chips but good overall colour and shine. Together with a BR(Sc) enamel Doorplate GENTLEM EN, F/F. Measures 18" x 3½", a few minor chips not affecting the lettering but overall very good, just needs a good clean.
L&NWR cast iron, double sided wall hanging Sign GENTLEMEN, unrestored.
BR Platform Ticket Machine Plate `Platform Tickets 2d - To Be Given Up On Leaving The Platform`. Measures 18¾" x 5" and is in excellent condition. Together BTC enamel sign December 1960 `Regulations For The Information & Guidance of al l Authorised Users Of This Lift`. Dark blue lettering on white ground, 13" x 8".
Shedplate 41C, Sheffield Millhouses until December 1961 and then Wath until May 1973.
Totem, BR(M) FRESHFIELD, F/F. Ex LYR later L&NWR station opened 1854 between Formby and Ainsdale. Extremely good condition with just the usual edge rust.
A stunning collection of Railway Lamps comprising:- Gauge Glass Lamps, qty 6 including BR(E), BR(M), BR(W) etc. All appear to be in reasonable to good condition. Together with qty 3 BR(M) small Flare Lamps. Also Loco Lamps, qty 6 comprising:- LNER Lo co Lamp with brass `Polkey` plate, complete together with an LMS 4 aspect Handlamp, complete and an LMS 3 aspect Handlamp complete; BR(M) slide lens missing; BR(M) with slide red glass but missing burner; Private Owner brass plated Henry Jew & Co., Bradford Street, Birmingham, no burner. Also, an enamel `Mexican Hat` station lamp missing glass.
LNER 9 x 5 Works Numberplate `London & North Eastern Railway 1535 Rebuilt Stratford Works`. Ex Standard Gauge Holden Class B12 4-6-0 built at Stratford in 1915 as Great Eastern Railway No. 1535. Under the LNER it was renumbered 8535 in January 19 24 but in December 1942 became 7449 only to revert to its original number of 1535 in June 1946. In BR days it was renumbered 61535 in December 1948. Between May 1932 and October 1935 it was fitted with an ACFI feed water heater. From 1948 it spent time at Stratford and Ipswich but at the very end it went to Norwich in November 1959 and was withdrawn from there in the following month being scrapped in January 1960 at Stratford Works.
L&NWR glass Inkwell with acid etched initials on face. Together with a small, very ornate Coffee Cup marked `Midland Hotel Manchester`.
Totem, BR(Sc) AVIEMORE, H/F. Ex Highland Railway station between Inverness and Perth. Slight bend and crazing to one wing.
Framed and glazed Poster "The Manx Electric Railway For Snaefell and Ramsey - Fifty Miles of Unsurpassed Mountain Scenery Lovely Glens and Glorious Sea Views. Printed by Richard Johnson and Sons Ltd, colour printers Manchester. Excellent conditi on with the exception of pin holes in each corner. Measures 26" x 21" in frame.
Poster Swiss Railways, `Safety - Gotthard - Lotschberg - Simplon` by Fritz Buhler, double royal size 40" x 25". Excellent condition.
Poster of the Liverpool Overhead Railway by WT, double royal size 40" x 25". Bird`s eye view of the railway and the docks with many ships present. Extremely good condition.

Poster `Oban - Gateway To The Western Highlands and Islands` by McIntosh Patrick, double royal size 40" x 25". Depicts a harbour view with a steamer leaving for the Isles. Published by BR Scottish Region, printed by Jordison. Folds otherwis e good and vibrant.
Totem BR(S) MAZE HILL, F/F. Ex London & Greenwich Railway station opened in 1873 between Greenwich and Westcombe Park..
Industrial Locomotive brass Cabside Numberplate No 42. Completely cleaned but there are some traces of original red paint left, also the bolt holes are a little damaged from being well tightened on the loco. Actual origin unknown but came from the So uth Wales area.
Stanier brass Locomotive Hooter, standard design together with an unidentified brass Whistle with a barrel length of 9" and a diameter of 2".
Carriage Door Push Plates, qty 3, plated brass (one cleaned back to bare brass) each measuring 11¾ x 2½". Manufactured by James Cartland & Sons, Constitution Hill, Birmingham. Makers initials are cast into the back along with the date, 1864 and the Registration No 190677. Each has a most ornate pattern cast into the face. Confirmed by the Collections Officer at the Steam Museum Swindon, to be identical to those held by the Museum that originated from the 1897 Diamond Jubilee Train.
GWR Gangers Key Instrument nicely embossed in full with company name on the face.
Carriage Print, `Hastings Sussex` by Frank Sherwin. In an original glazed frame. In excellent condition.
BR(M) small enamel Sign `TO PLATFORMS 2 & 3`, F/F, 18" x 9" and in reasonable condition, some bottom flange damage.
Enamel Sign `Wait Until The Train Stops At The Platform Before Opening The Door`, in three lines, white lettering on dark blue ground . Measures 27½" x 5" and is in very good condition with a few lower edge repairs to the blue, other than t hat, there is no damage to the lettering. Makers name `Wildman & Meguyer Ltd bottom right. A very rare sign indeed.
Worksplate Armstrong Whitworth 425/1921. Ex Fowler 4F locomotive LMS number 3946 later BR 43946. Allocations include Saltley, Toton and Staveley. Withdrawn in 1959.
LMS Shedplate 3D Aston which later became 21D under British Railways.
Totem, BR(M) STRINES, F/F. Ex MS&LR station between Marple and New Mills. Mottled and slightly bent with some restoration.
GWR enamel Sign `Smoking Strictly Prohibited`. Blue lettering on white ground, 9" x 6". Some restoration, very scarce.
Southern Railway diamond shape China Dish manufactured by Vitrisol, London. Green edging with green and brown pattern inside. Together with a small Southern Railway Cream Jug, same pattern. Both in very good condition.
Single Line steel Key Token PENRITH No 1 CABIN - REDHILLS. This was the first section on the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway after it diverged from the West Coast Mainline south of Penrith.
London & North Western Platform Lamp with the lamp tablet showing STATHERN. Ex L&NWR and GNR Joint station near Melton in Leicestershire which was actually named Harby & Stathern. Plenty of photographic evidence shows that the platform la mps indicated simply `Stathern`.
Totem BR(S) STREATHAM COMMON, F/F. Ex LB&SCR station opened December as Greyhound Lane station between Streatham Balham and Norbury.
