GWR pre-grouping cast iron Doorplates, qty 3 comprising:- `TICKETS`; `IN`; `OUT`. Together with a toughened glass Ticket Window measuring 19" x 22". The Doorplates are in original chocolate & cream and all four items would have been t ogether in walk-in, walk-out Booking Office.

BR(M) enamel Sign "Passengers Must Not Cross The Line", F/F, 24" x 18". Good colour and shine with one small face chip.

Totem BR(W) OLDBURY & LANGLEY GREEN, F/F. Ex GWR station between Birmingham Snow Hill and Stourbridge Junction, opened on 1 May 1885. Virtually mint.

Single Line Alloy Key Token POOL QUAY - LLANYMYNECH. Ex Cambrian Railway section between Whitchurch and Welshpool. Closed in January 1965.

GWR `Spagnoletti` Block Instrument with both flaps and buttons intact and also with correct back box. Good overall condition.

GWR white on black enamel Lamp Tablet PEMBREY & BURRY PORT. Ex main line station between Llanelli and Kidwelly, opened in 1852. Measures 17½" x 7" in good condition with a small area of loss to the top.

BR(W) Doorplate `DISTRICT INSPECTOR`, 18" x 6". In very good condition with some edge chips. A very rare doorplate.

Carriage Print `Bideford` by Hesketh Hubbard from the Southern Railway series. In an original glazed frame.

Worksplate "Hudswell Clarke & Co Ltd Leeds No 1734 of 1943". Ex 0-4-0 ST standard gauge. New to Harrington Shore Works near Workington as "HSW No 1". Transferred to Steetly Lime and Basic Co Ltd, Coxhoe Co Durham and then to S wan Village Gas Works as "SV 21". The sidings of the Gas Works branched from the Birmingham end of Swan Village Station.

Southern Railway framed and glazed Official Works Photograph of King Arthur Class 448 SIR TRISTRAM. The photograph hung in the Chief Draughtsman`s Office at Eastleigh Works. 26¾" x 21", in extremely good condition.

Pullman Clock with the name IRIS on the silvered face. Pullman Composite Car `IRIS` was built by the Metropolitan Cammell & Wagon Co at Birmingham in 1932 for the Brighton Electrification. Formed in SR electric unit No. 2016 (later 3016). The clo ck is in lovely working condition.

Enamel Advertising Sign "Spratt`s Puts Pussy into Fine Form - Spratts Cat Food". In very good condition. Measuring 24" x 12".

Enamel Advertising Sign "Stephens and Adhesives, Gum, Paste and Vegetable Glue"; dated 1931. Small chips to the corners otherwise in very good condition. Measuring 15" x 24".

Enamel Advertising Sign "Smokers are Requested to Use Swan Vestas"; pictorial image of matchbox. A small amount of corner loss otherwise in excellent condition. Measuring 22" x 10".

Enamel Advertising Sign `Hudson`s Soap`, white lettering with black shadow on a green ground and red border. A small panel left and right bottom has the familiar LNS Lamp shining a beam with the company name within. Measures 18" x 12" and i s in excellent condition with deep colour and shine, just a few minor edge chips well away from the text.

Bass In A Bottle Advertising Glass and Slate Sign. Measures 27" x 14" with the Bass red triangle in enamel in centre. Very good condition overall.

Enamel Advertising Sign `Lyons Cakes`. Double side with wall mounting flange, 17½" x 15½", blue lettering on yellow ground. In excellent condition with only minor defects.

GWR Jigsaws, qty 2:- Carter Patterson London Bridge (with aeroplane); Cornish Fishing Village. Both made up on card to show completeness.

Depot Plaque, cast aluminium, LEICESTER. Measures 17¾" x 17¾", face restored, rear ex loco

Hasler Train Event Recorder used on the `KINGSTON FLYER` Royal Train in New Zealand. It was removed in 1923 and presented to a couple of individuals mentioned later. In 1927 it was re-fitted during the attempt to break the Australian/New Zealand Rail Speed Record. The 11" diameter glass faced, open dial has an enamel segment showing 0 - 60 mph and also bears the makers name `Hasler Telegraph Works, 26 Victoria Street, Westminster S.W.` The opposite segment has the G.Hasler Switzerland name and logo with a list of patent numbers in various countries. The main part of the dial is open and the mechanism is clear to see including the recording paper showing a graphical representation of the speed. The paper rolls into a drum type receptacle on the side of the unit and this has a brass plate fitted ` Property of Wakefield Castrol Collection - No 21455 Aust`. Across the centre of the dial is a brass plate engraved `1927 Speed Trial NZ - Aust`. Mounted on a scallop cornered wooden presentation base, it carries a fine brass plaque ` Presented 17th August 1923 From All At Waygood - Otis (Aust) Pty Ltd. - To D.W.R. Green Esq and Charles Wakefield N.Z. and Australia - Removed From H.M. Royal Train KINGSTON FLYER - Record Speed Winner - Central Otago, South Island`. Both recipients travelled on the train on behalf of Otis Lifts and Castrol fuelled both the train and the lifts. A small Album given to DWR Green featuring the signatures of the invited guest passengers from his Australian Company accompanies. Note that this incredibly rare Recorder came from the Australian Wakefield Collection through auction. Note: Charles Wakefield set up the British Oil Company on 19th March 1899 and 10 years later produced a new lubricant he named `Castrol`

GWR Nameplate DARTMOOR. Ex 4-4-0 `Dukedog` Class built Swindon December 1896 and numbered 3276, later renumbered 3269. Initial allocation believed to have been Westbourne Park and later quite probably Devon. Withdrawal was in March 1937 and the accom panying receipt from the GWR Stores Superintendent at Swindon, shows that the plate was sold for 17/6d (75 pence in funny money) in April 1938. BR Poster "The Flying Scotsman" by A N Wolstenholme, double royal size 40" x 25". Depicting Peppercorn Class A1 60135 "Madge Wildfire" with Flying Scotsman`s Headboard in the top third segment and beneath the weekdays ti metable from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverley via Grantham and Newcastle. Published by the Railway Executive June 1950. Extremely good condition.

BR Poster "The Manxman In Connection with the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company`s Steamers to and from the Isle of Man" by AN Wolstenholme, double royal size 40" x 25". Depicting the locomotive 46100 "Royal Scot" on the M anxman in the top quarter, and the weekdays timetable from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street. Published by the Railway Executive (MNI) June 1951. Some loss bottom left edge but Professionally mounted on conservation paper so looks predominantly insignificant.

LNWR framed and glazed advertising poster 24" x 19, the colour poster shows a map of the whole of the LNWR system with coloured vignettes of Holyhead, Morecambe, Killarney, Menai Bridge, Lichfield Cathedral, Greenore, Lime St Liverpool, Llandud no and Windermere, this was used in the LNWR offices in Paris and has the original French framers label to the back.

LMS Poster `The Beautiful & Romantic Holiday Buxton by LMS` by J.P. Sayer, 1932, quad royal size 40" x 50". Interesting, street-level map view with amusing caricatures showing places of interest. The station is clearly annotated and the re are no less than 3 steam trains in the image. ERO 533518/4/32, printed by Dobson Molle Ltd. Folds, some minor rubs and edge creasing.

LMS Letterpress Poster, quad royal size, 40" x 50" `LMS Train Service To and From Droitwich Spa, Great Malvern, Cheltenham Spa & Bath - April 30th to July 8th 1934`.ERO 53336/6 April 1934, Ashton Davies Chief Commercial Manager. Folds w ith some edge damage and creasing but overall very good.

BR Poster `Ireland Overnight - Dublin via Holyhead - Belfast via Heysham` by Claude Buckle, quad royal size, 40" x 50". Shows a night time scene of the Ferry ploughing its way across the Irish Sea. Good condition with one small tear at the top middle fold and one small tear middle right.

GWR & SR Joint Poster `South Devon` by Frank Newbold, quad royal size, 40" x 50". A classic Newbold view of the red sandstone cliffs and coastal village in the bay. Pin holes in the corners otherwise very good overall.

Totem BR(S) WOOLWICH ARSENAL, F/F, light green. Ex SE&CR station opened in 1849, serving the North Kent Line from London to Gillingham. Good colour and shine, 2 very small face chips.

BR(S) Doorplate, `CARRIAGE SERVICING CHARGEMAN`, F/F. In mint condition. Arguably the rarest of all doorplates.

Cadburys` Chocolate wood & glass Display Cabinet, Victorian, measuring 24½" x 9" x 20", lozenge shape with rear side door. Front top glass has mother-of-pearl inlaid lettering `Cadburys` Chocolate` and the two side glasses, also mo ther-of-pearl `Makers To The Queen`. A delightful item in very good condition for age.

Fry`s Choice Chocolate wood & glass Display Cabinet measuring 26" x 26¼" x 14". A superb item with the front showing the lettering and the `By Appointment` lion & unicorn in the centre. `J.S` Fry & Sons` is engraved into th e wooden strip at the bottom. There is a mirror back and detachable shelf. The top lift off so extreme care is required. In excellent condition for age, a real gem.

Cadburys` wood & glass Display Cabinet, with the lettering along the top strip of silver painted metal. The makers name `FR.J. Pettit Makers Birmingham` is engraved along the bottom strip. Lozenge shaped, 24" x 20" x 8¼". In very good condition for age.

Shedplate 1D, Devon`s Road Bow from 1950 to 1963 then Marylebone until 1973.

LBSCR 10-inch Mahogany cased iron dial fusee clock with a cast brass bezel, supplied to the London Brighton and South Coast Railway by William Wright in 1850. The quality English fusee movement of typical London style has square plates with shaped sh oulders and a cut out at the bottom held together by turned tapered pillars, the white enamel painted dial displaying bold Roman numerals and the legend B.R.(S). John Walker 1, South Molton St London 158.B. The clock retains its original cast bezel with a convex glass and the rear of the case has been stamped 158.B. which was applied on or after the grouping of the Southern Companies. The Southern clock records show that this clock was originally supplied by William Wright of Tooley St London in 1850 and last saw service at Newhaven Harbour and was situated in the South Signal Box. William Wright (1828-1851) supplied 108 clocks to the fledgling London Brighton and South Coast Railway from 1841-1861, this particular clock is not only one of his earliest supplied clocks but one of only four of this type and so far the only known survivor. A rare and desirable timepiece from a recorded London maker in working condition complete with pendulum and key.

GER Silverplate Peanut Dish made by Regent Plate, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co 112 Regent St. A delightful, shell shaped dish with the company wing crest and initials on the side. Measures 5" diameter, almost 2" tall, excellent condition.

GWR white on black enamel Lamp Tablet PEMBREY. Ex Burry Port and Gwendraeth Valley Railway station away from the main line on the branch to Trimsaran. Very little, if anything has survived from this station. In good condition with a small area of los s at both ends.

BR(Sc) enamel Sign "Parcels And Left Luggage", 24" x 18", F/F. Virtually mint.

Totem BR(W) CHELTENHAM SPA MALVERN ROAD, H/F (Malvern Road in lower panel). Ex GWR station opened in March 1908 to serve the Stratford-on-Avon line avoiding reversals at St James station. Closed January 1966. Extremely good condition, very minor chip s, some minor edge repainting.

Enamel Advertising Sign `Use Bernard & Algers Well Known Special Manures For All Crops - Plymouth`, 12" x 26". A white sign with a large Swede in centre and either yellow or black lettering. Some restoration beneath the title and some s light fading to a few letters. A very rare enamel sign indeed.

Enamel Advertising Sign `Agent For Collinson` 1/10s Tea`, 8" x 12". Black lettering on yellow sunburst at top, white lettering on white and blue beneath. Excellent condition throughout.

Enamel Advertising Sign `Rowntree`s Pastilles Makers To HM The Queen`, 24" x 9". White lettering on dark blue ground, yellow border. Excellent condition throughout.

West Highland Railway two compartment china Sauce Dish with central crest `West Highland Railway Refreshment Rooms J. Stewart`. Beneath this is blue lettering `Return To Crianlarich Refreshment Rooms`. Measures 7" x 4¼" and is approximately 2" deep. A very scarce item from the early 1900`s in remarkable, almost pristine condition .

Steel Gangers Key stamped `Jersey Marine South`, 7" in length. Ex GWR location near Neath & Brecon Junction, Swansea. Together with another interesting Gangers Key, this one having a hinged `Carriage Style` handle stamped `KEY D`. Also from the Swansea area, possibly of L&NWR origin.
