Autograph Book as used by Walter Rowan, a life-long steward who joined the GWR and worked the Paddington - Swansea Restaurant Car Trains. He became Chief Steward and retired in 1966. A substantial album of 80 autographs of actors and celebrities of t he time with that of Jean Simmonds illustrated. The most prominent is undoubtedly that of Ronald Reagan, who was of course an established actor long before becoming President of the USA. A potted history with image of the original owner accompanies. Cabside Numberplate 6700. Ex GWR 0-6-0PT built by William Bagnall in February 1930 under works number 2381/30. Allocated initially to Cardiff Docks, by BR days was at Neath and then finally at Swansea East Dock although it worked at Gurnos sub-shed. Withdrawn in June 1961.
Cabside Plate `YARD No 3081`. Chromed brass measuring approximately 12" x 6¾". Small corner loss top right bolt hole, otherwise ex loco.
Wagon Plates, qty 10 comprising six Registration plates, one GWR 1941, three LMS, one LNER 1926 and two BR(E); qty 3 `D` Type, two LNER Darlington and one LMS Standard.
Enamel `Calling On` small signal blades, 21" x 6¼", qty 5 including a rare Distant example.
Wagon Plates, a good selection of 30, mostly Private Owner/Makers.
Enamel Ground Discs, a select collection of 7 different plus a punched out stencil `Track Dead` disc. A most interesting selection.

Worksplate LMS Built St Rollox 1911, oval brass. Probably ex Caledonian 0-6-0 class 3F locomotive. Face cleaned and polished.
Shedplate 24J, Lancaster Green Ayre from February 1957 until September 1963. Quite possibly off the loco in the next lot.
Smokebox Numberplate 42928. Ex Hughes `Crab` 2-6-0 locomotive, built Crewe in 1931. Primary allocation was Lancaster Green Ayre. Withdrawn in February 1963.
Shedplate 89B, Brecon until November 1959 then Croes Newydd until September 1963.bOn the back in just about discernible yellow crayon is the number 46519.
Worksplate `Midland RY. Built 1922 Derby`, oval brass. Ex Northern Ireland Railways NCC `U `Class 4-4-0 locomotive, either No 14 or No 15 as these were the only two locos built this year. Both were rebuilt as Class U2`s in 1937 becoming No 69 & N o 70 respectively. Number 69 was withdrawn in 1954 and Number 70 in 1956. Totally unrestored with all those years of paint layers including maroon.
Wagon Plate `D` Type LMS 10 Tons 2107, cast iron construction. Together with a small M.R.Co Builders Derby 1920 cast iron Wagon Plate and a small cast iron Wagon Plate `To Carry 10 Tons`. All unrestored.
Irish Wagon Plate MR NCC 177, rectangular cast iron. Totally unrestored.
Worksplate LMSNCC Makers Belfast 1934, oval brass. Only four locomotives were built this particular year. Works numbers 24 and 25 Class U2 4-4-0 Nos 85 and 86; Works numbers 26 and 27 Class W 2-6-0 No 94 THE MAINE and No 95 THE BRAID.
Irish Wagon Plate MR NCC 1044, rectangular cast iron. Totally unrestored.
Belfast & Northern Counties Wagon Plate BNCR 510, rectangular cast iron. Totally unrestored condition.
Worksplate Midland RY. Built 1923 Derby, oval brass. Ex Northern Ireland NCC 0-6-0 Class `V` locomotive, later rebuilt to Class `V1`, either No 71, 72 or 73 as only these three were built that particular year. All were withdrawn in 1961.
Irish Wagon Plate LMS NCC 1499, rectangular cast iron. Totally unrestored.
Smokebox Numberplate 7917. Ex GWR/BR Modified Hall Class NORTH ASTON HALL, built April 1950. First shed allocation Bristol, Bath Road followed by Westbury, Didcot and Oxford. Withdrawn August 1965.
Shedplate 81A Old Oak Common until May 1973. In original condition but has suffered from the damp.
