Nameplate THE DONCASTER POSTMAN. Ex Class 08 Diesel Shunter D3729, built Crewe Works 1958 and allocated to 64A St. Margarets, Re-numbered 08562 in November 1973 whilst allocated to Gateshead and was withdrawn in December 1981. Stored at Heaton and th en Swindon Works an eventually reinstated and allocated to Neville Hill, Leeds, in February 1985. In March 1985 it was transferred to Doncaster and was named "THE DONCASTER POSTMAN" in November of that year. Numbered CT 83 it saw use at Dollands Moor, Channel Tunnel, from November 1993. Finally withdrawn in January 1994 and disposed of at Old Oak Common in August 1997. The plate measures 41¾" x 3½" and although it has been cleaned up completely, it does have remnants of BR blue on the bottom edge and rear.
Totem BR(M) CHILVERS COTON, F/F. Ex LNWR station south of Nuneaton on the Coventry line. Closed 18th January 1965. A little flat and some edge chipping but lettering unaffected.
GWR C/I sign `Caution No Part of this Machinery Must Be Examined Cleaned or Oiled Whilst In Motion. Any Person Exposing Himself to Danger Will Be Liable To Dismissal - By Order`. A rare, small GWR sign.
A pair of 5" diameter brass cased GWR Sykes indicators one distant and one banner , both in nicely restored condition mounted on a display board.
Enamel BR(W) F/F 24" x 18" PLATFORM 3 excellent condition with good colour and shine and a few small face chips.
Single Line bronze Tyer’s No.9 key token THORNTON YARD SB - WESTFIELD GF(No.5) from the section being worked by No Signalman instruments at the Westfield end. When put into service on 1 October 1976 it was the intention to provide an intermedia te manned signal box at Kinglassie Colliery, the latter box being actually built and fitted out but was never opened. The Thornton Yard – Westfield token instruments were set up as “long section” instruments to enable Kinglassie SB to be switched out, hence the unusual large oblong end. The token is in good ex-box condition, except for much of its original green paint having flaked off through use. The token instruments were taken out of service on 10th November 1991 when Thornton Yard SB was closed, the line now being worked by Track Circuit Block (axle counters).
Southern Railway enamel Notice "CAUTION - The Public Is Particularly Requested Not To Attempt To Cross The Line While A Train Is In Sight - By Order". Measures 27" x 18½", white lettering on red ground. A scarce sign.

London Transport Poster ` The Tower Of London` by E. McKnight Kauffer. A rare poster by this famous artist. Printed 4/9/34 with a run of 1500 by Vincent Brooks Day & Son Ltd London WC2. In good condition.

Original Watercolour Painting of the front end of Stanier Princess Coronation 46223 Princess Alice sporting the Royal Scot Headboard. Painted by J.E. Wigston, Guild of Railway Artists and dated 1980. Framed and glazed, the overall measurements are 11 " x 14½". Note: John Wigston was born at Redhill, Surrey in 1939 and has exhibited at the Museum of British Transport, Clapham and Doncaster Art Galleries. The 1975 150 Celebration brought a commission from the Tourist Board for a painting of `Locomotion` which in turn led to more commissions from Barclays Bank, the North of England Development Council and one from as far as Canada.
Single Line brass Tyer’s No.7 Tablet FORTH BRIDGE - THROSK No.12, square configuration. As used on the “other” Forth Bridge crossing at Alloa. The otherwise double line of the Caledonian Railway between Alloa and Alloa Jn north of L arbert was single track between Throsk on the south bank of the Forth estuary and the north bank at Alloa over the river Forth. swing bridge between Throsk and Forth Bridge signal boxes. The line closed on 17 May 1970. The tablet is in ex box condition.

Midland Railway mahogany cased Rotary Block Instrument plated `DN LINE`. enamel dial showing the three positions beneath which is a three position knob with brass backing indicator plate. Both buttons intact and the brass frame has a British Railways 13401?1 notice within numbered 25. A substantial instrument, clearly stamped `MRCo` in several places. Looks to be in excellent, ex box condition.
Totem, BR(Sc) BARRASSIE, F/F. Ex Glasgow Paisley Kilmarnock and Ayr Railway between Troon and Irvine, opened in 1939. As with most totems from this area, it is has been mottled by the sea air, but, still extremely good.
