GWR full Bottle of Brandy made by one of the oldest French Brandy Companies. An amazing survivor bearing the full label `Auger Frères & Co Cognac Established in 1643 - Produce of France - Bottled in Cognac for the Great Western Railway`. Contents complete and so is the original seal. Augier exists in name only today and bottles bearing the name are extremely rare and valuable. The Augier cognacs were all distilled in traditional Charentais Stills and aged naturally making them of top quality. Many of the grapes came from the Champagnes and Borderies. Very few bottles still remain today, this is thought to be from the mid 1920`s.

The silver case is hallmarked for Birmingham 1902 and bears the case makers initials A.L.D., the inside hinged movement dust cover is hand engraved LONDON BRIGHTON & SOU TH COAST RAILWAY No 628 and is in pristine condition. The American Waltham watch company 15 jewelled top wound and set movement is in excellent working order and the enamel dial is clean and free from chips and cracks. Measures 50mm in diameter and 20mm thick. Accompanying the watch is the official BR receipt dated 2nd November 1995 and is headed `Watches retained on retirement, guards regulator, J.Chalcraft London Bridge Station`. A superb survivor.
