Water Column cast iron plate curved to fit the water column. Text reads 'Al Drivers Are Required To Place A Water Ticket In The Box On Each Occasion They Take Water Here'. Measures approx 9in x 13in. Most unusual and extremely rare.

Advertising Enamel Thermometer 'Nut Brown Tobacco', in good original condition complete with working thermometer, the enamel lacking a little in gloss. 22 inches tall x 7 inches wide.

GWR crossing keepers warning bell, complete with machine engraved shelf type plate KNIGHTS CROSSING. The Mahogany case is stamped twice on the front GWR and on the back GWR MAKERS PADD AY and comes complete with a miniature church bell. A rare item i ndeed. Knights crossing was on the line between Midgham and Colthrop in Berkshire.

Worksplate F.C. Hibberd & Co Ltd Planet Loco No 3576. Standard Gauge 4wDM ex-works on 7 January 1953 and sent new to the Royal Navy Victualing Depot at Botley in Hampshire. It spent all its working life there and was sent to Birds at Long Marston for scrap in 1969. Oval brass, ex loco condition.

Smokebox Numberplate 90372. Ex WD 2-8-0 locomotive built by the NBL under works number 25324 in September 1944. After war service, saw a period at Agecroft and then Doncaster. Withdrawn December 1965.
Stanier brass Locomotive Hooter, standard pattern as used on the majority of Stanier locomotives. The Vendor's personal records show this to be ex Stanier 8F number 48388.
GNR double pie-crust Handlamp with matching numbers 8520 and brass plated Great Northern Railway SEACROFT 3. Tastefully restored.
Cabside Numberplate 2918. Ex GWR 'Saint Class' 4-6-0 locomotive SAINT CATHERINE, built Swindon in August 1907 under Lot 170, works number 2266 at a cost of 2726 pounds. First shed allocation Cardiff Canton. Half-cone boiler fitted November 1909, but reverted to full-cone boiler January 1911. Superheated fitted May 1912. Outside steam pipes fitted February 1931. Later allocations include Bristol, Wolverhampton and Leamington. Withdrawn from its final depot Tyseley 16th February 1935 and cut up at Swindon on 6th April 1935.
Totem BR(M) TAMWORTH fully flanged. Ex LNWR station on the Trent Valley Line between Rugby and Stafford. Also the Midland line between Birmingham and Derby. In good condition.
GNR Dumpy Level housed in a fitted mahogany box, clearly stamped 'GNR'. Made by John Davies & Sons Derby as the label clearly shows and also with a date of 5/3/11. The box is brass plated 'District Engineer'. Together with a LNWR Thermometer in a fitted mahogany box with hinges stamped with company initials. A pair of quality instruments.
Tram Notice 'Caution - To Ride Or Hang On To The Back Of This Vehicle is Dangerous and Strictly Forbidden'. Circular enamel measuring 12in diameter.

LNER enamel Doorplate STAFF ONLY, flangeless 18in x 3.5in and in good condition with a couple of small repairs. Together with BR(E) enamel Doorplate PRIVATE, flangeless 18in x 3.5in and in excellent condition.
Irish Railway wooden Carriage Board, one side shows ENNISKILLEN the other side LONDONDERRY. Measures 26in x 3in, black lettering with red shadow on an off white ground.
Nameplate PACKWOOD HALL. EX GWR 4-6-0 'Hall' Class locomotive built Swindon August 1929 and numbered 4949. First shed allocation Wolverhampton, Stafford Road. August 1950 shed allocation Taunton. Fitted with BR type piston valves and liners February 1957 but reverted back to WR standard within two years. In March 1959 the loco moved to Bristol, St. Philip's Marsh remaining there until withdrawal from Bristol, Barrow Rd, where withdrawn engines tended to be stored, in September 1964. Scrapped at Bird's, Llanelly. Totally ex loco, stamped on rear with Lot No and also No 49 L indicating the left hand plate.
