Nameplate EARL OF PLYMOUTH. Ex GWR 4-6-0 Castle Class locomotive built Swindon Works as Denbigh Castle, April 1936. First shed allocation Worcester. Renamed August 1937. August 1950 shed allocation Cardiff Canton. March 1959 shed allocation Newton A bbot. Final allocation Bristol, Saint Philip's Marsh from where withdrawal took place in March 1963.Face restored long ago, rear has red oxide. Clear bracket marks on rear and the original bolt mounting holes are filled with brass rivets. Originally fitted to Dukedog 3206 Built November 1936 from the frame of 3428 and the boiler of 3267. Original BR paperwork accompanies.
Birmingham Corporation cast iron, ornate Road Sign PARLIAMENT STREET measuring 68 inches in length and 9 inches wide. Once located just off the Coventry Road in Small Heath. Tastefully restored.
Flame Cut Panel 08181. Ex Diesel Shunter originally numbered D3249, built Derby in May 1956. Withdrawn July 1982. Measuring 30 inches by 17 inches, ex loco condition.
Cast Iron Chinese Worksplate from JS Class 2-8-2 locomotive built in July 1960. Front repainted, ex loco back.
Locomotive Regulator Handle ex GWR 14XX 0-4-2 Tank locomotive number 1472. Built Swindon Works in April 1946 and first allocated to Newton Abbot, later Weymouth. Finished up at Gloucester Horton Road working the Stroud Valley Push-Pull services. Work ed the Gloucestershire Railway Society last steam Cirencester Town & Tetbury Branches on 5th April 1964. Withdrawn November 1964 and cut up at Cashmores
BR(W) Locomotive Headlamp (GWR pattern) complete with reservoir but no burner.
Signal Box Lever Plates, qty 4 together with qty 3 circular Indicators two of which are brass cased, one bakelite cased; enamel Armband 'Person I.C.' and a Warning Rattle.
Rhodesian Railways front Bufferbeam Numberplates 'No 411'. Ex Beyer Garratt Class 15 loco 4-6-4 + 4-6-4 'double Baltic' built by Beyer Peacock in 1950 under works number 7363 and part of a batch of 15. The separate plates were fitted at the extremes of the front buffer beams being polished brass on a black ground.
KDEV brass Locomotive Emblem featuring the Imperial Eagle of the German Empire 1889 - 1918. Measuring 9.75 inches in diameter, this very scarce plate is believed to have originated from what was German South West Africa (now Namibia) The initials sta nd for Kaiserlich Deutsche Elsenbahn Verwaltung which translates to Imperial German Railway Administration. Unlike the more common KPEV plate, this was used on German Colonial Railways and bears a very different 'spread eagle'. The first locos would have been used on the 1895 built Swakopmund to Windhoek line that was completed in 1902. A wonderful plate in lightly cleaned condition.
