Worksplates, a pair comprising: BR York Lot No 30943 dated 1979, ex 71515 of unit 508210 and BR York Lot No 30945 dated 1979 ex 64698 of unit 50824. The former was scrapped at Eastleigh 13/8/2013 and the later scrapped at Eastleigh 15/7/2013. Each ca st iron measuring 7 inches x 4.75 inches. Both are completely ex loco.
Nameplate SEAHAWK. Ex HST Power Unit 43191 named by Captain Paul Bootherstone Commanding Officer RNAS Culdrose at Penzance Station on the 12th October 1988. He was winched down from a RNAS helicopter to meet the train which had arrived from Truro af ter a naming ceremony there with 'City Of Truro'. The actual event was deemed .Cornish Awareness of BR'. Stainless steel with blue rim. Rear totally ex loco condition, face lightly polished.

Great Eastern Railway enamel Running-In-Board HEACHAM. Situated on the Snettisham to Hunstanton line, it opened in 1862 as a junction for the King's Lynn to Hunstanton line to Wells on the West Norfolk Junction Railway. It closed with the Hunstanton line in 1969. 93 x 16 inches, A very rare survivor.
British Rail alloy Double Arrow Badge, large size 27.5 inches x 17 inches, as presented to the Works Manager at Doncaster Works.
GWR/BR brass Cabside Numberplate 1654. Ex Hawksworth 0-6-0PT built Swindon Works in 1954 and allocated to Llanelly. By 1962 it was at Southall and finished its days at Slough from where withdrawal took place in June 1964.
BR(W) Fishtail Cap badge EXCESS LUGGAGE in gilt with makers name JR Gaunt London to rear. In virtually mint condition, extremely rare.

Pullman Car Table Lamp from Car 'Phoenix' (1952) which was used extensively by the Royal family, particularly the Queen Mother and also used on the Golden Arrow. In original condition with an original silk shade. This pattern was only used in the ear ly 1950s, for a short period and consequently is a very rare pattern.
Nameplate MYRDDIN EMRYS with separate Merlin Emblem. Built at the Brush Falcon Works and entered traffic May 28th 1964 as number D1738. Renumbered under TOPS to 47145. Named after a Welsh Narrow Gauge Engine, this plate replaced the original which wa s spelt differently. Cut-up T.J.Thomson, Stockton on August 15th 2009.

A very evocative and lifelike study of Bulleid Merchant Navy 35012 UNITED STATES LINE pulling out of the Ocean Terminal with the RMS Queen Eliz abeth docked in the background. Image size approximately 20.5 x 14.5 inches, mounted in a tasteful, glazed frame measuring 29 x 23 inches.
Worksplate 'The English Electric Co Ltd Vulcan Works Newton-le-Willows No 3698/D1093. 1967'. Ex Class 20 number D8317 later 20217. Entered traffic November 1967 and allocated to Haymarket. Withdrawn from Toton July 1989 and cut up at MC Processors Gl asgow in December 1990.
South African Railways brass oval Cabside Numberplate 3128 15F in dual language. Ex Class 15F 4-8-2 Mountain type steam locomotive designed by W.A.J. Day, Chief Mechanical Engineer (CME) of the South African Railways from 1936 to 1939, and was built over a period of eight years spanning World War II. This loco was built by North British Locomotive Company in 1946 under works number 26012
GWR fully titled Private Road cast iron Notice in original condition, 25 x 16 inches.
Worksplate London & North Eastern Railway Co No 1993 Doncaster 1946. Ex Stanier 8F locomotive built April 1946 and sent to the LMS in October 1947. Originally numbered 3160, then 3560, 8765 and finally, by BR 48765. Withdrawn from Lostock Hall in Aug ust 1968. Oval brass fully engraved. Totally ex loco condition, only 10 in this batch so only one of 20 that were ever cast. Extremely rare.

Somerset & Dorset Railway Handlamp with early Midland Railway brass plate and a red front glass, the lamp has been adapted by the railway from a Wagon readers lamp to show red for stop, with original rape oil reservoir stamped 'S&DJRY'. Stands 14 inc hes tall and is in original condition with traces of both red and black paint. Probably used at a signal box or yard that carried out a considerable amount of shunting at night and could have been from a colliery location like Radstock.

One of at least two posters created by Carre to promote travel to the historically important Algerian city. Carre himself moved to Algeria in 1909 and li ved out the rest of his life there. Printed in Algiers Juin 1929 by Lith Bacconier Alger.

Poster GWR Horse Racing 'Colwall Races - Monday Sept 27th' double royal 40 x 25 inches. Superb image of two horses and jockeys jumping a fence at Colwall National Hunt racing course. Some minor tears within the creases where it has been folded. Mond ay 27th September falls on two days in 1915 & 1926 so take your pick. Accompanying the lot is an original race card for Monday 23rd 1904, and a copy produced by the Colwall Village society of National Hunt Racing at Colwall Park Racecourse. The Poster also has Malvern Wells pencilled on the back, which probably indicates where is was sent to be advertised. What a rare survivor this is.

London Brighton & South Coast Railway 10 inch dial Mahogany cased fusee clock Ex Littlehampton. A 10 inch mahogany cased iron dial fusee railway clock with a cast brass bezel supplied to the LB&SCR in 1906 by Grimshaw Baxter & Elliott Ltd of London a t a cost of 2-5-0d. The quality English fusee movement in fully overhauled condition has rectangular plates, which are held together by cylindrical pillars, the mahogany case with a one piece turned surround held onto the back box by four tapered pegs is of typical 19th century design with one side door and a bottom door secured by a brass lock. The original dial is screen printed and hand painted B.R.(S) John Walker 1 South Molton ST London 1044 B. The Southern Railway clock records show that this clock was located at, Littlehampton Booking & Telegraph office. In full working condition complete with pendulum and keys.

Colour photograph prints 20 x 16 inches of locos at Barry Scrapyard taken in the early to mid 1970’s, these are excellent quality and are a fabulous record of many of the engines there, some of course are now running again. Must be viewed, approx 110 images with a few duplications.
