GER coloured signal box diagram GER FOULSHAM WEST, linen backed measuring 40in x 16in. Shows From County School on the left and To Reepham on the right. In good rolled condition with a little water staining. A rare survivor dated 26th August 1910.

Smokebox numberplate 1503 ex GWR 1500 Class 0-6-0 Pt built at Swindon in August 1949. It was an 81A Old Oak Common loco for all of its working life from where it was withdrawn on 31 December 1963 and scrapped at T.W. Ward Britton Ferry. Face restored , a rare smokebox from only a class of only 10 and the third from this class to ever appear at auction.

Smokebox numberplate 30368 ex Drummond Black Motor, a long time 70D Basingstoke engine that was withdrawn from there in December 1962. Face lightly cleaned, rear ex loco with BR(S) Eastleigh casting marks. Also marks of gas torch removal around bolt holes.

GWR silver plate bread basket with GWR DINING CARS in garter nicely engraved on the side. Base marked Elkington & Co. 12.5in long, in excellent condition.

BR(E) enamel BEWARE OF TRAINS measuring 27in x 19in. In excellent condition.

GWR Hotels Department Bristol Green glass Beer Bottle, stands 9 inches tall and is free from cracks and chips on the bottle except for a small chip on the inside rim. GWR beer bottles are very rare.

North British Locomotive Brass worksplate No 26057 1948 ex South African Railways Class 19D 4-8-2 No 3337. one of the final batch of fifty locos of this large and successful Class designed mainly for branch line duties. Face restored rear ex loco.

Heppers Patent key instrument, cast into the face LMSR WB&S CO LTD HEPPERS PATENT AND TRAFFOLITE PLATE POINTS NO2. In good original condition standing 13in tall, originated from Scotland.

GNR mahogany cased pegging block instruments a pair together with a GNR mahogany cased repeater. All in good cleaned condition except the block instruments are missing their zinc dial face plates.

Totem BR(W) FF AFON WEN. In virtually mint condition, from the former Cambrian railway station on the Dovey Junction to Pwllheli line, the station was closed in December 1964, not a common totem.

BR(E) enamel RIGHTS OF WAY ACT 1932 THE BRITISH TRANSPORT COMMISSION HEREBY GIVE NOTICE THAT THIS WAY IS NOT DEDICATED TO THE PUBLIC. Measures 10in x 8in and is in excellent condition. An uncommon sign.

Lancashire Derbyshire & East Coast Railway clock 10in oak cased fusee clock by POTTS & SONS of LEEDS. The fusee movement has shaped plates and turned pillars and is in good working condition. The original dial has been repainted back to the g hosted writing that was visible and now visible in ghosted is the later LNER dial writing showing LNER No 9241. Pencilled into the rear of the case is Skellingthorpe and the LNER records confirm that clock No 9241 was in use at Skellingthorpe Signal Box. The clock probably dates from the opening in 1897 and Skellingthorpe was the only LD&ECR station in Lincolnshire and one of two LD&ECR stations that had a level crossing. A rare timepiece in working condition complete with pendulum and key.

Smokebox numberplate 52290 ex LYR Aspinall 27 class 0-6-0 built at Horwich works in 1895. It was shedded at Wigan Central, Fleetwood, Lostock Hall and finally at Rose Grove from where it was withdrawn in 1960. In ex loco condition.

LSWR silver plate milk jug with early LSWR script, base marked Mappin & Webb. In excellent condition.

LNER double line mahogany cased block instrument, complete and in good original condition. Stands 19in tall.

HST stainless steel Nameplate Badge for ST PETER'S SCHOOL YORK AD627, ex 43152. Measures 9in x 9in and is in ex loco condition. Sold on behalf of Great Western Railways in aid of their nominated Charity, Prostate Cancer UK and will come with an offic ial certificate from GWR confirming this.

GER 3 aspect sliding knob handlamp, stamped in the reducing cone GER S.J.BOX SLEAFORD and brass plated on the side LONDON AND NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY SLEAFORD 47 also plated with makers plate P&W MacLellan lamp manufacturers London & Glasgow. Complete with all glasses and GER stamped reservoir, burner and reflector. In good cleaned condition.

Shedplate 84D Leamington Spa 1950 to Sept 1963. In ex loco condition and with the engine number 7810 (Draycott Manor) chalked on the back. A rare shedplate.

Original water colour on card by J E Wigston GRA of Stockton and Darlington Railway locomotive LOCOMOTION. Painting size 15in x 10in, mounted in card mount and framed and glazed size 22in x 17in. Signed and dated 1977.

Sutherland & Caithness Railway mahogany balloon back chair, the centre back rail carved S&CR. The chair appears to be in excellent condition with green leather upholstery. Probably a singular survivor and of true historical importance.

LNER enamel quad royal poster board heading, white on black enamel, measuring 51in x 5in. In good condition with minor edge chipping, this is the rarer version with script style lettering.

LT bronze framed enamel target sign TOTTENHAM COURT ROAD, mounted on a wooden back board. The target measures 24in long x 20in tall and is in excellent condition.

GN & LNWR Joint 3 aspect double pie crust handlamp brass plated Great Northern Railway STATHERN No1 and GN&LNW JOINT LINE. Stamped in the reducing cone GNR A7/07 GN 9054 and also stamped GN9054 in the side of the lamp. Complete with original fore and aft reservoir, burner, reflector and all glasses. In good cleaned condition.

GWR porcelain Ashtray with Great Western Railway Hotels CoA to centre. Measures 4 inches square and is base marked Bishop England. In excellent condition.

GWR brass Cabside 4235 ex 280 T built 1914 Swindon and shedded at Ebbw Junction, Newport Pill and withdrawn from Ebbw Junction in 1962. Face restored and comes with original Swindon receipt.

Cast aluminium cabside numerals D1009 ex Western Invader, as removed by one of the locos drivers when they became loose in service. Included with the lot is a copy of the collectors corner sale lists for 1978 showing that one side of Western Invader nameplate was sold without its cabside and the other with the cabside backing plate only. All in ex loco condition.

Totem BR(M) FF LOUGHBOROUGH. In Good ex Station condition and complete with original mounting brackets. A difficult totem to obtain especially in this condition.

Caledonian Railways steel and canvas train follows board, one side written TRAIN FOLLOWS CR and the other TO BE RETURNED TO BEATTOCK. Measures 28in x 21in, in good condition for a rare survivor.

Carriage board LOCO STORES CREWE measures 28in x 3.5in. Straw on maroon paint complete with original metal ends. An unusual item.

LT enamel TRAM STOP REQUEST measuring 17.75in x 15.5in. White on blue enamel in excellent condition. A very rare sign.

LNER cast iron sign THE PUBLIC ARE REQUESTED TO KEEP TO THE FOOTPATH TRESPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED BY ORDER. A very rare sign thought to have been used on canal/ river navigations. Face restored 27.5in x 15in. Ref TPLN111.

GWR enamel sign GWR TICKETS ISSUED HERE. Double sided with repairs to both sides but displays well. Measures 18in x 12in. Not a common sign.

Depot plaque STEWARTS LANE, cast aluminium ex 73133 which was in mainline blue. Measures 17.5in x 17.5in totally ex loco condition with one corner cracked.

GWR brass travelling safe plates consisting of: NEWPORT TO EBBW VALE/ RETURN TO DISTRICT CASHIER GWR NEWPORT and NEWPORT TO NANTYGLO/ RETURN TO DISTRICT CASHIER GWR NEWPORT. Both in original condition and measure 4in x 2.5in.

Smokebox numberplate 45389 ex LMS 4-6-0 Black 5 built in 1937. A long time Perth and Stirling engine withdrawn in 1965. Face restored, rear primed as it was displayed on a shed since the 1960's.

Worksplate BUILT 1960 SWINDON, cast aluminium ex class 42 Warship in the range D816-D829. Face cleaned with clear traces of BR blue paint on the edges.

Poster LMS PWLLHELI ON THE SUNNY CAMBRIAN COAST by Alfred Bestall. Double Royal 25in x 40in. Printed by Greycaine Ltd. Some insect damage to image, and mildew mainly to bottom border. This previously unknown LMS poster, with an identical GWR version, is believed to be the only railway poster illustrated by Alfred Bestall, who is regarded by many as the greatest artist ever to have illustrated the Rupert Bear articles and annuals, the link to the artist being Alfred Bestall was made by Geoff Courtney of Heritage Railway Magazine. A rare poster which deserves to be conserved.
