SAR cast aluminium cabside SOUTH AFRICAN RAILWAYS SUID AFRIKANESE SPOORWEE 2924 15F ex class 15F 4-8-2 Mountain Type built by North British Locomotive Company in 1938 and delivered in 1939. This is a later replacement plate, face cleaned and rear ex loco.
Nameplate WESTERN VANGUARD with matching Cabside Numberplate D1069. Ex BR Class 52 Diesel Hydraulic D1069, one of the final batch of the class built by BR at Crewe Works and released to traffic in October 1963. Initially allocated to 86A Cardiff Cant on, then 87E Landore, 84A Laira, 87E Landore and finally 84A Laira from where it was withdrawn in October1975 then cut up at Swindon in February 1977. The nameplate measures 96.5in x 8in and the cabside numberplate 34.5in x 10in both are in ex loco condition with lots of blue and maroon paint evident and brake dust, none of the beading is loose. One of the best condition Western sets to come onto the market.
Diesel worksplate oval cast aluminium BRUSH SULZER No683 1965 EX BR CLASS 47 47244, D1921. Initially allocated to 86A CARDIFF CANTON, renumbered 47640 and named UNIVERSITY OF STRATHCLYDE in 1986. Face restored and rear ex loco stamped 47244.

Smokebox numberplate 63420 ex NER Q6 0-8-0 built by ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH in 1920. Allocations included TYNE DOCK, THORNTON JUNCTION, MIDDLESBROUGH, 51L THORNABY, 55H NEVILLE HILL, 55E NORMANTON and it was withdrawn from 52H TYNE DOCK in 1967. In ex lo co condition with a clean break.

Tyers Single Line chromed steel Key Token Configuration A with brass over plates, PENRITH No 1 - BLENCOW 4 A. Ex Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway section introduced in June 1938 when Redhills Junction signal box closed. It lasted until Decem ber 1967 when electric token working between Penrith and Keswick was completed.

Post Office POST BOX, an original 1950's lamp box type complete with a full set of collection plates, internal wire basket and original Chubb lock and 3 key's. The box has been nicely restored and comes complete with its original cast iron stand that measures 55in tall. Note the box is not too heavy as the front is cast iron and the rear mild steel, however the stand is a comfortable 2 man lift.
