South African brass cabside numberplate SOUTH AFRICAN RAILWAYS 507 6B ex 4-6-0 built for The Cape Government Railways by Nelson and Read in 1898 as works number 5141 and C.G.R. No 220. Oval cast brass in restored condition.
LNER enamel lamp tablet KILMACOLM as fitted underneath glass globe platform lamps. Kilmacolm was a former Glasgow and South Western Railway station between Paisley and Greenock. In good condition with slight fading to the black letters. Measures 19in x 13in.
London & North Western Railway Illustrated Address to Elijah Copping on his retirement from the Police Detectives Department April 1904. Framed and glazed 20.5in x14.5in with very attractive design colours plus interesting signatures. Elijah Coppin g is mentioned in the BTP records as having helped investigate the murder of Thomas Hibbs in 1902 and had also taken part in the investigation into the murder of Detective Sergeant Robert Kidd in 1895 and helped to bring his killers to justice. On reverse (also glazed) is a LNWR advertisement for Omnibuses To / From Euston Station to Charing Cross (SE&CR), Waterloo (L&SWR) plus Family Parties, each with times and prices.
LNER mahogany cased double line block instrument. Appears to be complete and stands 19in tall.
Carriage prints x3, all from the London Midland Railway Architecture series by Claude Buckle; Leeds City Station, Curzon Street Goods Depot Birmingham, and Ditton Viaduct Lancashire. All in good condition in original frames measuring 25in x 10in.
Worksplate LMS BUILT 1944 SR ex Stanier 8F 2-8-0 from one of these SR built locos 8661/2 Eastleigh, 8663-70, 8675-8 Brighton and 8672-4 at Ashford. Oval cast brass, face cleaned.
BR(S) enamel sign dark green BEXLEYHEATH SUBSTATION. Measures 26in x 6in and is in good condition with one area of restoration. Still on original backing board.
White Star Line cut glass lead crystal wine carafe clearly acid etched with the White Star flag. In excellent condition measures 9.5in tall.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 9629 ex Collett 0-6-0 PT. Built at Swindon in 1945. Allocations included 83C Exeter, 89A Oswestry, 88L Cardiff East Dock and 86G Pontypool Road from where it was withdrawn in October 1964. The locomotive is now under going restoration at The Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway.
Worksplate ROBERT STEPHENSON & HAWTHORNS LTD DARLINGTON WORKS 7503 1949 ex LNER L1 2-6-4T 67769. Allocated new to Neasden and then Colwick and was withdrawn in 1961 and cut up at Darlington Works the same year. Lozenge shaped engraved brass.
Shedplate cast aluminium 81A Old Oak Common, with 4 mounting holes as fitted to some of the early diesels. Basically ex loco condition.
BR(SC) FF enamel doorplate STAFF ONLY. Measures 18in x 3.5in. In excellent condition with one small edge chip.
GPO Post Office 12in mahogany cased chain driven fusee clock, dial marked GVR (George VIth) G.P.O. Rear of case is stamped 5EFW51. The chain driven fusee movement is stamped Elliott London EFW 25205 and rubber stamped GPO APPD 2569. In original and w orking condition, complete with pendulum and key.
Nameplate ANTRIM ex Great Northern Railway Ireland Class U 4-4-0. Built by Beyer Peacock Manchester in 1948 as serial number 7247 and numbered GNRI 204. It was transferred to Córas Iompair Eireann ownership in 1958 and withdrawn in 1963. Curved engra ved brass with original wax filling.

Three Australian 3 aspect Appleton Patent handlamps: 2 brass plated W.A.G.R. (Western Australian Government Railway) complete with glasses, reservoir etc; the other stamped Q.EG.R. (Queensland Government Railway) missing its coloured glasses.

London Transport enamel sign PASSENGERS MUST NOT ATTEMPT TO LEAVE CARS etc. Measures 35in x 24in and is in good condition.
Railway brass armband TOWN RAILWAY PORTER NO3, hand engraved wax filled brass. Measures 6.5in x 4in and is in good condition. It is suggested that Town refers to a grade of porter rather than a location.
Diesel worksplate oval cast aluminium BRUSH SULZER NO 676 1965. ER BR Class 47 47237, D1914. Initially allocated to 86A Cardiff Canton in November 1965, withdrawn by EWS in 2002, then to DRS November 2002, Cotswold Rail December 2007 and Advenza Frei ght in October 2009. Face restored rear original and stamped 47237 400470??-13.
LNER/BR(E) locomotive headlamps, one complete with reservoir, the other two missing. Together with two GCR/LNER Drivers Gauge glass lamps, one complete, the other missing a coloured glass.

Worksplate KERR STUART & CO LTD STOKE-ON-TRENT No4451 1930 ex GWR 0-6-0PT No7716. A long time 83C Exeter engine and was withdrawn in 1959 from there and cut up at Buttiegiegs Newport in 1960. Oval cast brass.
BR(W) FF double sided enamel sign CAFETERIA & BAR measuring 106in x 18in and complete with original hanging hooks. Both sides in very good condition with small rust damage at bottom of one side. Ex Bristol Temple Meads Station.
GWR brass signal lever plates x6: 13 disc for No14 14 or 14 16, 14 up main No1 up siding, 15 disc for No14 14, 20 disc for No21 21, 21 down main No1 down siding, 22 disc for No21 21. All in original as removed condition from Wednesbury Central South Box with red wax infill for levers operating signals.
LSWR 3 aspect handlamp stamped L&SWR 4772 in the side, complete with all glasses and original sloping front reservoir. Together with two BR(S) 4 aspect handlamps.

North Eastern Railway enamel doorplate GENERAL OFFICE. Measures 20in x 5.25in and is in excellent condition.
LBSCR 14in oak cased chain driven fusee railway clock 183B. The original dial repainted post 1948 by John Walker of London is in good condition. The English chain driven fusee movement has shaped plates and turned pillars and is in good clean conditi on. 183B was supplied in 1851 to The London Brighton and South Coast Railway by William Wright of Tooley Street London and the Southern Railway records show it was last in use at Brighton (London Road) platform. Prior to that Dorking North and Victoria Station. In working condition complete with pendulum and key.
GWR combined nameplate and numberplate PLYMOUTH 3353 GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY SWINDON WORKS ex Dean Bulldog 4-4-0 built at Swindon in 1900 as No 3365. Renumbered 3353 in 1912 and renamed Pershore Plum with a standard pattern curved nameplate in 1927. Th e plate is stamped in the rim with engine and boiler class and also stamped in the back 3365. The number 3353 in brass and steel has been riveted over the original number. A superb plate that has never appeared at auction before.

Smokebox numberplate 3804 ex GWR Churchward 2-8-0 built at Swindon in 1939. Allocations included 86G Pontypool Road, 88A Cardiff Canton and 88L Cardiff East Dock, from where it was withdrawn in July 1964 and scrapped the same year at Cashmores Newpor t. Basically ex loco condition.
Brass steam locomotive whistle complete with valve and operating lever, stands 11.5in tall and the bell diameter is 2.5in. These are often sold as a Bagnall type whistle but are thought to be used on Steam cranes as well. It was acquired by the vendo rs late father from the Railway at Darlington so it might have come from one of their steam cranes. In full working condition.
