South Eastern Railway 14in walnut cased drop dial English fusee railway clock. The case with a convex surround, 2 side doors and a bottom door secured by a brass turn, has the SER numberplate 377 screwed to the right hand door. The back box is stampe d 377 SE. The dial is in restored condition and is lettered BR(S) JOHN WALKER 1 SOUTH MOLTON ST LONDON 377 SE. The brass chain driven movement has rectangular plates which are stamped with the SER cartouche. The Southern Railway clock records show that this clock was last in use at The Booking Hall Reigate. Complete with pendulum and key and original Dr D.R. Parr sheet detailing his restoration and provenance.

Diesel worksplate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY LTD GLASGOW No27647 1959 ex 0-4-0 diesel hydraulic supplied to the Ministry of Defence as ARM 412. Used on the Longmoor Military Railway until the last day of operation, it was then transferred to Ti dworth Camp and lastly Long Marston. Diamond shaped cast brass, in lightly face cleaned condition with original green paint to the edges.

Midland Railway oak cased block bell with large mushroom bell and tapper. In nicely restored condition.

Worksplate GREAT CENTRAL RLY BUILDERS 1912 GORTON WORKS. Locomotives built that year were Robinson Class 1 Sir Sam Fay, 04 2-8-0's and A5 4-6-2Ts. Oval cast brass, Face restored.

Smokebox numberplate 92142 ex Riddles 9F 2-10-0 built at Crewe in 1957. Spent all its working life at 35A New England from where it was withdrawn in February 1965 and cut up a year later at Cohens Kettering. Numerals restored, rear ex loco.

GWR ground frame plate CULKERTON WEST GROUND FRAME. Rectangular cast iron measures 14.25in x 4in, face restored. Ex Tetbury Branch.

GWR silverplate half pint tankard with large GWR CoA and Great Western Railways in scroll to the front. Base marked Mappin & Webb Ltd, stands 4in tall. In excellent condition.

Taff Vale Railway police truncheon painted with Queens crown T.V.R No66 and a mountain goat. Manufactured from oak measures 18in long. In exceptional condition. a rare truncheon.

Great Western Railway police truncheon, octagonal shaped oak, with Queens crown and GWR in garter. Measures 21in long and is in very good condition. A rare pattern, similar illustrated in Fenn Clark Truncheons, page 71.

GWR nameplate KETLEY HALL ex GWR 4-6-0 Hall number 4935 built Swindon June1929. First shed allocation was Chester then Didcot, 87G Carmarthen, 87F Fishguard, 88A Cardiff, 85B Gloucester and lastly 81E Didcot from where it was withdrawn in April 1963. Scrapped January 1964 at Cashmores Newport. In nice original condition with LOT 254 35R stamped into the back indicating this is the right hand side nameplate.

Wood with cast iron lettered sign CARBIDE OF CALCIUM DANGEROUS IF NOT KEPT DRY NO SMOKING NO NAKED LIGHTS. Could be from a railway location as carbide lamps were used for tunnel inspections etc.

GWR brakevan lamp brass plated GWR on the chimney and stamped on the side A446 and the front GWR. Complete with both bullseye lenses, reservoir, burner and shades. Stands 19in tall.

GWR carriage prints x3; Robert Raikes Statue Gloucester, The Beach Aberystwyth, and The Pump Room Leamington Spa. All 3 in original mahogany frames measuring 21in x 11in and in good condition.

Diesel worksplate Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn Ltd 6988 Newcastle Works 1940, Ex 0-4-0 diesel mechanical shunter. Supplied new to the Air Ministry at the Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough Hants with running number A.M.W.171. After closure of the RAF railway, it was sold for scrap in 1969. Oval cast brass, face restored rear ex loco, measures 13in x 8.5in.

Named Josiah Wedgewood Master Potter 1730-1795. Withdrawn in 2003 and scrapped the same year. Face restored and rear ex loco, stamped 86236.

LNWR Policeman’s whistle on a leather bandolier type strap with integral whistle pocket. Brass whistle clearly stamped LNWR in the end and leather strap has a LNWR button attached. An unusual item.

Worksplate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY LTD GLASGOW No25858 1946 ex Thompson B1 4-6-0 61105. Sheds included 34A Kings Cross, 34D Hitchin, 41A Sheffield Darnal, 41D Canklow and 34E New England. Taken in departmental stock and renumbered 27 and use d as a stationary carriage heating boiler at Parkeston shed. Cut up in July 1966 at Asking & Sons Ltd Norwich. Diamond cast brass, lightly face cleaned.

Diesel worksplate THE HUNSLET ENGINE CO LTD LEEDS 204HP No5667-1961 ex BR Class 05 0-6-0DM D2618 the last of the class to be built. Initially shedded at 51A Darlington then 64H Leith Central. Withdrawn June 1964 and scrapped at G.H. Campbell Airdrie February 1969. Oval cast brass in as removed condition.

Southern Railway enamel armband SOUTHERN RAILWAY 41 (DOCKS). In very good condition complete with original leather straps, ex Southampton. Not common.

GWR silverplate items x2 to include: GWR Hotels nibbles dish marked to the front with GWR in roundel HOTELS and base marked Mappin & Webb, measures 2.5in tall; GWR 2 handled sugar bowl marked GWR DINING CARS in garter to front and base marked Elkingt on, stands 3.25in tall. Both are in excellent condition.

South African brass cabside numberplate SOUTH AFRICAN RAILWAYS 2024 15AR ex 4-8-2 built by North British Locomotive Company in 1921. In as removed condition with a couple of cracks.

Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway 12in mahogany cased English fusee railway clock. The case with convex and concave surround and a spun brass bezel has been nicely restored and still retains the original LYR steel numberplate 1123 and location plate P IMBO LANE. The dial, in original condition, is written JOHN AGAR BURY LYR 1123. The brass fusee movement, in cleaned condition, has shaped shoulders and ringed pillars. An impressive clock from a location that was renamed from Pimbo Lane to Up Holland in 1900. In working condition complete with pendulum and key.

LSWR enamel destination sign GODALMING HASLEMERE PETERSFIELD MIDHURST ex Guildford Station. Measures 8in x 6.5in and is in very good condition.

Smokebox numberplate 8712 ex Collett 0-6-0PT built by Beyer Peacock in 1931. Allocations included Pontypool Road and 86F Tondu from where it was withdrawn in January 1963. Scrapped at R.S. Hayes Bridgend in December 1963. Lightly face restored and re ar original.

Southern Railway enamel seat back HAYLING ISLAND measuring 48in x 3in. In very good condition, a famous location sadly now without a railway.
