Nameplate POST RESTANTE ex BR Diesel Class 47 47774 built by Brush Loughborough in 1964 as D1746. Subsequently numbered 47153, 47551 and 47774. Named at Crewe Diesel Depot in August 1993. Nameplates removed and the locomotive scrapped at Crewe in Mar ch 2006. Measures 73in x 9.75in and is in ex loco condition and comes complete with D. B. Cargo authenticity certificate.

LNER mahogany cased Dual Line Block instrument in very good ex railway condition.

Single line staff PIDDINGTON - BRACKMILLS from the former Midland Railway line between Bedford and Northampton. Wood with brass plates, measures 17in long and is in ex railway condition.

Nameplate PHILLIP G WALTON ex BR Electric Class 86 86620 built by BREL Doncaster in 1965 and numbered E3114. Subsequently numbered 86020, 86320, 86420 and finally 86620. Named in October 1998 and withdrawn in February 2007 due to fire damage and scra pped at Ron Hull Rotherham in June 2007. Measures 59in x 10in and is in ex loco condition.

Diesel worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD LONDON No2820/D535 1960 THE VULCAN FOUNDRY LTD LOCOMOTIVE WORKS ENGLAND ex BR Class 40 D298 40098. Allocations included Campden, Longsight, Crewe North, Rugby and withdrawn from Carlisle Kingmoor in April 1981. Scrapped at Swindon. Rectangular chromed brass in excellent condition.

BR enamel FF station sign CLIFTON JUNCTION from the former ELR and LYR station between Manchester and Bolton, one of the earlier examples from the 1960's before BR changed to screen printing. Measures 33in x 5in and is in very good condition with min or chipping.

GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 4644 ex Collett 0-6-0 PT built at Swindon in 1943. Allocated to 84 Shrewsbury, 81A Old Oak Common, 82C Swindon, 83B Taunton. 87F Llanelly and 87J Fishguard Goodwick from where it was withdrawn in October 1963. Scrapp ed at Swindon later the same year. In nicely restored condition.

Shedplate 82B St Philips Marsh 1950-1964. Face restored, rear original, with clear Swindon casting and machining marks to rear and edge.

GWR 3 aspect pre grouping handlamp with single pie crust top stamped in the side and reducing cone GWR. Complete with rape oil fore and aft reservoir and all glasses. An uncommon GWR lamp.

A pair of carriage prints both from the LNER Post War Series. PETERBOROUGH CATHEDRAL by Kenneth Steel and BRAMHAM CROSS YORKSHIRE by Kenneth Steel. Both are framed and glazed in original type frames. Prints measure 20in x 10in.

BR(W) FF enamel sign PLATFORM 2, double sided and complete with both hanging hooks. Measures 24in x 18in and is in very good condition on both sides.

Kent and East Sussex Railway Free Pass No21 issued to W. E. Mandelick Esq. Octagonal aluminium measuring 1.25in x 1.25in and in excellent condition. W. E. Mandelick was the secretary and business manager of the London Electric Railway.

BR-W machine engraved traffolite shelf plate CHELTENHAM LECKHAMPTON. Measures 4.5in x 1.5in and is in good condition. Not much survives with this stations name on.

London Underground enamel target/bullseye sign LEICESTER SQUARE measuring 44in x 35.5in and in original bronze frame mounted onto a plywood backboard. In excellent condition.

LNER brass locomotive whistle ex B1 complete with operating valve and wheel. In nicely polished condition.

Diesel locomotive depot plaque for TOTON ex Class 56 56086. Rectangular cast aluminium measuring 17.75in x 17.75in. In ex loco condition.

BR(E) FF enamel sign WAITING AND LADIES ROOMS. Measures 24in x 18in and is in good condition with a few small chip repairs.

Totem BR(S) FF ASH from the former Joint LSWR & SECR station between Guildford and Reading. A rare totem that has only appeared once before at auction and this is the same one. In excellent condition.

Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway 12 inch walnut cased English fusee railway clock supplied to the railway circa 1870 probably by John Agar of Bury. The walnut case with a one piece flat angled surround, spun brass bezel, one side door with the hinges stamped LYR and a bottom door secured by a brass catch is branded LYR three times and has an LMS brass numberplate 7938 pinned to it. The original dial which has been lightly restored is lettered L.Y.R. 1586. The brass wire driven fusee movement has rectangular plates. Complete and in working condition with pendulum and key. A stunning and unusual LYR clock.

GWR/BR-W wooden carriage board LISKEARD - PLYMOUTH NORTH ROAD. Painted straw on maroon and measuring 32in long, in good condition complete with original metal ends.

BR(S) Suburban Services Mirror British Railways Southern Region Suburban Services Route Map mirror showing all the routes from London Bridge, Victoria, Waterloo, Charing Cross & Cannon Street, and Holborn Viaduct Stations in a coloured diagrammatic m ap. Measures 24in x 16in and is in excellent condition. A rare survivor.

Smokebox numberplate 5209 ex GWR Churchward 2-8-0 T built at Swindon 1923. Allocated to 87F Llanelly, 87A Neath (court Art) and 86B Ebbw Junction from where it was withdrawn in July 1965. Scrapped later the same year at Cashmores Newport. Lightly fac e restored.

GWR etched glass lamp tablet PORTLAND from the former Joint GWR and LSWR station closed in 1952. A rare survivor. Measures 16.5in x 3in and is in excellent condition.

GWR cut glass small shot glass acid etched with GWR twin shield Coat Of Arms and GWR REFRESHMENT DEPARTMENT. In excellent condition standing 2in tall. A lovely and rare item.

Nameplate UNIVERSITY OF PLYMOUTH and with separate cast aluminium coat of arms badge ex High Speed Train class 43 43149. Named 28/02/2011 and removed in 2018. Cast aluminium in ex loco condition measures 65.5in x 10in. Sold on behalf of Great Western Railways in aid of their nominated Charity and comes with an official certificate confirming the original owner.

Midland Railway mahogany cased Non Pegging Block instrument stamped MRCo in various places and complete with traffolite plate ELMTON & CRESWELL JCT.

Nameplate COUNTY OF OXFORD. Ex GWR Hawksworth County 4-6-0 locomotive built Swindon in January 1947 numbered 1023. Allocated to 83G Penzance, 83F Truro, 83D Laira, 83C Exeter, 82C Swindon and 89A Shrewsbury from where it was withdrawn in March 1963, scrapped at Swindon works in August the same year. In lightly cleaned condition and stamped L1023 in the back.

Shedplate cast aluminium 83D  Laira to 1963, as fitted to early Western region hydraulics. Face restored, rear lightly cleaned, with traces of original around the edge.

GWR Wrights Patent coppertop 3 aspect handlamp stamped in the side GWR and brass plated WRIGHTS PATENT MANUFACTURED BY WILLIAM SUGG & CO LTD WESTMINSTER on both the reducing cone and the original copper reservoir. Complete with glasses, a rare GWR la mp.

GWR pre-war Photochrom colour-tinted panel Carriage Panels x 2 ROSS ON WYE, RIVER WYE FROM PARADE and KERNE BRIDGE, LOOKING TOWARDS LYDBROOK [HEREFORDSHIRE] both views date from around 1895, framed and glazed with title mounts and in very good condit ion. Both measure 11.5in x 9.5in.

Totem BR(W) HF TAUNTON from the former Great Western Railway station between Exeter and Bridgwater. In excellent condition with light restoration around the edge.

Great Eastern Railway 12 inch teak cased English fusee railway clock supplied to the railway circa 1890. The case with a one piece turned convex surround, cast brass bezel, one side door and a bottom door secured by a brass lock also retains its gree n baize lining to the front of the back box. The dial has been repainted post 1960 by the British Rail clock workshops at Doncaster with Arabic numerals and is lettered BR 942. The brass chain driven movement has rectangular plates which are stamped GER and also have a snailed finish applied as was common practice with Great Eastern clocks. The LNER clock records show that this clock as being last in use at Liverpool Street Station London, Supts Office No 16, Hamilton House. Complete and in working condition with pendulum and key.

Metropolitan Railway bone organ pipe type guards whistle stamped on the top MET RLY together with a nickel plated brass Acme Thunderer stamped MET in the lip. Both in very good condition.

Shedplate 86A Cardiff Canton 1963-1973. Oval cast aluminium as used on the early diesels. Face restored.

Belfast And County Down Railway enamel sign B.C.D.R NOTICE ANY PERSON FOUND WRITING ON THE WALLS OR IN ANY WAY INJURING THE COMPANIY'S PROPERTY WILL BE PROSECUTED BY ORDER. Measures 6in x 4in and is in very good condition with some expert restoration to the corners.

LMS solid silver presentation TICKET DISPLAY CASE engraved to the front ON THE OCCASION OF THE OFFICIAL OPENING BY HIS WORSHIP THE MAYOR OF THE NEW LMS STATION AT LEIGH-ON-SEA THURSDAY 4TH JANUARY 1934 12-30PM. Contained within is TICKET No 001 LMSR COUNCILLOR H. E. FRITH & PARTY 4TH JANUARY 1934 LEIGH (ESSEX) TO SOUTHEND-ON-SEA (LMS). The case measures 3in wide x 2.25in tall and is hallmarked Sheffield 1930 Sterling Silver. A truly historic item in excellent condition.

SR Tyers No 9 chrome plated steel single line key token HALWILL - ASHBURY configuration B, from the former North Cornwall line closed in 1966. In ex railway condition.

GWR black leaf china butter dish marked on the front with the GWR Hotels roundel and base marked J & G Meakin England Vitresol. Measures 5.25in x 4.5in and is in good condition with a little staining around the edge.

Original watercolour painting OLD HASTINGS STREET SCENE by A. J. Wilson. This was produced for the BR(S) Publicity Department in the 1950's. Mounted on card with the painting measuring 14in x 10.5in. In very good condition.

London Brighton and South Coast Railway cast iron doorplate SIGNAL LINEMAN. In original condition white on green and the reverse painted SIG AND TELE ENG, probably when reused. Measures 27in x 3.75in.

Nameplate BRIGHTON VOYAGER ex Virgin DEMU Class 220 220022 built at Bombardier Belgium in 2000. Cast aluminium in ex loco condition measuring 24.5in x 15in.

GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 6126 ex Collett 2-6-2 T built at Swindon in 1931. Allocated to 81D Reading, 81B Slough, 85B Gloucester Horton Road, 81E Didcot and 81F Oxford from where it was withdrawn in December 1965. Scrapped at Cashmores Newpor t in 1966. Face restored and neatly welded with engine and boiler class details clearly stamped in the rim.

Shedplate 65A Eastfield Glasgow with sub sheds Aberfoyle to 1951, Helensburgh 1960-1961 and Parkhead to 1962. In restored condition but with casting pattern numbers etc in the back.

GWR Brass drum railway clock with 3.5 inch enamelled dial GWR J.M. SKARRATT & CIE PARIS. Case hand engraved with the number 2464 and movement has the GWR modified winder fitted. In good working condition. Pre dates the Kays version and is much rarer.
