Southern Railway enamel target sign CHESSINGTON SOUTH from the former London and South Western Railway Terminus on the branch from Motspur Park Junction. In very good condition with some excellent restoration around the edge. Mounted on board, measur es 35in long.
BR(S) FF light green enamel doorplate PRIVATE. In very good condition with a couple of minor chips around the screw holes. Measures 18in x 3.5in and has the later modified font.
GWR pre grouping cast iron doorplate STATION MASTER measuring 24in x 3.5in. In original condition.
Nameplate TITAN STAR ex BR Diesel Class 47 built at Crewe in 1965 and numbered D1652. Renumbered to 47068 in 1974, 47632 in 1985 and 47848 in 1989. Named at Crewe on 31st October 2006 by Riviera Trains and nameplates removed July 2016. Cast aluminium measuring 53.5in x 8.25in and is in as removed condition.
BR(S) enamel signalbox board WOODFIDLEY CROSSING from the former London and South Western Railway signal box in the New Forest between Brockenhurst and Ashurst. Measures 121in x 12in and is in good condition with a few repairs.
Smokebox numberplate 80126 ex BR Riddles Standard 4 2-6-4 T built at Brighton in 1955 and shedded at 63A Perth South for all of its life. Withdrawn in November 1966 and scrapped the following year at Campbells Airdrie. Lightly face restored.
GWR brass cabside numberplate 9401 ex Hawksworth 0-6-0 PT built at Swindon in 1947. Allocated initially to Reading then went on loan to 30A Stratford, then 84G Shrewsbury, 85A Worcester and finally 85D Bromsgrove where it worked as a Lickey Banker. W ithdrawn in July 1963 and scrapped the following year at Swindon Works, Face restored.

LBSCR Webb & Thompson single line electric train staff HORAM - HEATHFIELD, configuration B. Measures 23in long. A section on the Cuckoo Line closed in 1965. In very Good condition.
Worksplate ROBERT STEPHENSON & CO LTD DARLINGTON 1921 No 3802 ex GWR Churchward 2-6-0 6370. Allocations included Worcester, Cardiff Canton, St Philips Marsh, Ebbw Junction and 86G Pontypool Road from where it was withdrawn in February 1963. Scrap ped later the same year at R. S. Hayes / Birds Bridgend. Lozenge shaped cast brass, face polished, and back stamped 6370. Measures 11.5in x 5.25in.

Top wound and top set, the dial is enamelled with the suppliers name SPIRIDON & SON CARDIFF and has a few minor chips and hairline cracks. The rear of the case is hand engraved TAFF VALE RAILWAY (a little worn) and machine engraved TV 180. In working condition.

The dial is enamelled SKARRATT & CO WORCESTER and has a small chip in the centre. The rear of the case is engraved GWR 1356. In working condition complete with key and albert.
London Brighton and South Coast Railway nickel cased pocket watch with top wound and top set U.S. Watch Co Waltham Mass movement 58870. The US watch company were originally a subsiduary of the Waltham Co but set up in competition with them in 1885, t hey closed in 1900. The dial is enamelled LB&SCR and has a small hairline crack. The rear of the case is hand engraved 365. In working condition, a rare example of an early LBSCR watch.
London Brighton & South Coast Railway gold plated cased pocket chronometer watch with Swiss made chronograph movement, top wound and top set. The dial has an outer ring marked MILES PER HOUR FROM 1/4 MILE DISTANCES and is free from chips and crac ks. The inside of the case is hand engraved LONDON BRIGHTON AND SOUTH COAST RAILWAY 824. This watch came from the Brighton area and was no doubt issued to someone extremely high up in the CME Department, maybe the CME himself L. B. Billington. An important watch in working condition.
London Midland and Scottish Railway nickel cased pocket watch with Elgin Natl Watch Co USA movement 23748256 which dates this watch to 1921. Top wound and top set, the dial is enamelled with Arabic numerals and ELGIN USA and is free from chips and cr acks. The rear of the case is engraved LMS 9663. In working condition, a rare example of an early LMS watch.

Worksplate MANNING WARDLE & CO LTD LEEDS 1740 1908 ex 0-6-0 ST delivered new to Scott Middleton Contractors Glamorgan then Lindsey Parkinson Contractors Civil Engineers. Oval cast brass measuring 11in x 6in, face restored. The other side to this plate is in the Victoria Museum in Australia.
Smokebox numberplate 34101 ex SR Bullied Pacific 4-6-2 Hartland. This numberplate was purchased from the estate of the locomotive owner Richard Shaw and has the BR(S) Eastleigh triangle cast into the rear and has been lightly face restored over some original paint. The locomotive was shedded at 73A Stewarts Lane, 73B Bricklayers Arms, 75A Brighton, 70A Nine Elms and 70D Eastleigh from 1964 from where it was withdrawn in July 1966.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplate GWR 155 ex Cardiff Railway 0-6-2 T built by Kitson in 1908 and designed by Ree. Cardiff Railway loco No35 then GWR 155. Withdrawn in 1953 from 88B Cardiff East Dock. NOTE The worksplate from this loco was sold in our November 2018 auction Lot 111.
Diesel worksplate BUILT BY THE BIRMINGHAM RAILWAY CARRIAGE AND WAGON CO LTD SMETHWICK ENGLAND 1962 SERIAL No DEL 235 ex BR Class 27 originally numbered D5392 then 27120 in 1974 and then almost immediately to 27202 which it carried until withdrawal in 1980. Rectangular chromed brass measuring 8in x 5.75in and is in very good condition.
Nameplate OAKLEY HALL ex GWR Collett 4-6-0 Class locomotive number 5936 built at Swindon in 1933. Shedded at Old Oak Common, Reading and withdrawn from 85B Gloucester Horton Road in January 1965. Scrapped the following month at Swindon Works. In exce llent original condition, stamped in the rear RIN No 5936 LOT 281 indicating this is the right hand nameplate. Oakley Hall is a Grade II listed building near Market Drayton in Shropshire.

Shedded at Longsight, Workington, Stoke and withdrawn from 5B Crewe South in August 1959. Scrapped at Derby Works later the same y ear. Diamond shaped cast brass in lightly cleaned condition.
Carriage Print FIRST PRINCE OF WALES AT CAERNARVON CASTLE, 1301... by Harry Winslade from the LMR Historical Series of 1955. A very scarce print from the series commissioned to four artists working for the Artist’s Partners Agency in London. In origi nal type glazed frame, print measures 20in x 10in and is excellent condition.

Vale Of Glamorgan Railway 12in oak cased railway clock with a chain driven English fusee movement. The original dial is lettered GWR and visible as ghosted writing is BARRY & SONS, CARDIFF, V of G.R.Co. The case is in excellent condition and retains its GWR ivorine numberplate 2701 on the left hand side. In working condition complete with pendulum and key. An exceptionally rare clock. The Vale of Glamorgan line was opened on the 1st December 1897 between Barry and Bridgend and was worked exclusively by the Barry Railway until the Grouping in 1922.

Worksplate 9x5 LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY 7288 REBUILT STRATFORD WORKS 1921 ex GER Holden J66 0-6-0 T built in 1887 as GER number 288, then LNER 7288 and 8371 and finally BR 68371. Allocated to 38D Stavely Great Central from where it was with drawn in April 1954 and scrapped. Oval cast brass, face cleaned a long time ago.

GWR cast iron ground frame sign ALVELEY SIDINGS NORTH GROUND FRAME from the Severn Valley line between Highley and Hampton Loade which opened in 1939 to serve the colliery. In ex railway condition, measures 25in x 5in.
Diesel nameplate SAINT BLAISE CHURCH 1445-1995 ex BR Class 37 built by English Electric in 1963 and originally numbered D6869. Renumbered 37169 in 1973 and 37674 in 1986. Named at St Blazey Depot by Uny Bowers, son of Reverend Malcolm Bowers Vicar of Saint Blaise Church, in December 1995. Nameplates were removed in January 2005. Rectangular cast aluminium measuring 73in x 13.5in and is in as removed condition.
