BR(S) Quad Royal enamel poster board heading BRITISH RAILWAYS in the unusual larger letter size. In good condition with some chipping, measures 53in x 5.75in.
Worksplate BUILT 1957 SWINDON. Locos built that year were BR Standard Class 4 4-6-0 75053-75064. Oval cast iron, face cleaned with slight loss to right hand side.
London Underground enamel target/bullseye sign GREEN PARK in original bronze frame. Measures 24in x 19in and is in excellent condition.
Post Office enamel doorplate EXCISE OFFICERS. Measures 18in x 4in and is in excellent condition. A rare doorplate.
LMS sepia carriage Prints a pair. LOCH LOMOND & BEN LOMOND and GRANTOWN, STRATHSPEY. SCOTLAND. Both are in original frames. The prints measure 25in x 10in and are in excellent condition.
Smokebox numberplate 63377 ex NER Raven Q6 0-8-0 built at Darlington in 1917. Allocations included Hull, Neville Hill, Consett, Borough Gardens, Blaydon and 52H Tyne Dock from where it was withdrawn in November 1966. Scrapped the following year at Ar nott & Young Dinsdale. Lightly restored.
GWR brass cabside numberplate 5942 ex GWR Hall 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1935 and named DOLDOWLOD HALL after a house near Rhayader. Allocated to Stafford Road, Oxley. Reading, Oxford and lastly Shrewsbury from where it was withdrawn in December 1963. Scrapped the following year at Cashmores Great Bridge. Face lightly restored.
Diesel worksplate BRITISH RAILWAYS DERBY BUILT 1963 POWER EQUIPMENT BY ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES LTD AND SULZER ex British Railways Diesel Class 25 D5200/25050. Allocated new to 18A Toton and scrapped at BREL Swindon in 1985. Rectangular cast aluminium with P27147 & 25050 stamped in the back. Face restored measures 13in x 6.5in.
Nameplate THE QUEENS OWN MERCIAN YEOMANRY ex BR class 47 47528. Built at Crewe in February 1967 (the last 47 to be outshopped from Crewe), named in November 1989 and name removed in November 1998. Locomotive scrapped at Ron Hull Rotherham in June 200 8. Cast aluminium in ex loco condition measures 65.5in x 17.5in. In as removed condition, sold on behalf of DB Cargo (UK) Ltd and comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
BR(M) FF enamel sign PLEASE SHOW TICKETS. Measures 16in x 10in and is in very good condition. This is the more unusual larger lettered version.

Shedplate 83A Newton Abbot 1950-1973 with sub sheds Ashburton to 1958, Kingsbridge to 1961 and Tiverton Junction 1963-1964. Face lightly cleaned with Swindon casting number U291 clearly visible.
Modern image Virgin Trains station sign RUGBY. Manufactured from screen printed aluminium, in ex railway condition, measuring 33in x 13in.
London and South Western Railway 8 inch Mahogany cased iron dial drop dial fusee clock with a spun brass bezel supplied to the LSWR circa 1898 by J.F Fox (late Gaydon) of Barnstaple. The English wire driven fusee movement with rectangular plates held together by turned screwed pillars, is in good condition. The white enamel painted dial has been restored to its pre grouping dial writing L&SWR J.F. Fox BARNSTAPLE 159. The Southern Railway clock records show that this was supplied circa 1898 and was last recorded in use at Tamerton Foliot station platform which was a station between Bere Ferrers and St. Budeaux. Complete and in working condition with pendulum and keys.
NER and LNER cast brass station Barrow Plates; SCARBORO, NER 0126, NER 4324, MIDDLESBRO, L&NER 1108, No 1731 and LNER 6510. All nicely face restored, 7 in total.
Tyers No6 single line fibre tablet REDDITCH SOUTH - STUDLEY. In ex railway condition measures 4 7/16 in diameter.
Worksplate THE VULCAN FOUNDRY LIMITED NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS LANCASHIRE No3182 1916 ex TVR Cameron A Class 0-6-2 T originally numbered by the Taff Vale 130 and 365 by the GWR. Allocated to Treherbert and 88E Abercynon and withdrawn from there in October 1 955 and scrapped. Oval cast brass measures 9.75in x 5.75in. Face restored with 365 stamped into the back.
Lynton and Barnstaple Railway 24mm nickel plated Button, back marked SWORD MAKE MADE IN ENGLAND. In excellent condition.
Nameplate NEATH ABBEY (CASTLE CLASS) ex GWR Churchward Star Class 4-6-0 Locomotive built at Swindon in 1923 as 4070. Rebuilt as a Castle Class in May 1939 and renumbered 5090. Allocations included Laira, Cardiff Canton, Worcester, Bristol Bath Road a nd lastly 81A Old Oak Common from where it was withdrawn in May 1962. Scrapped later the same year at Cashmores Newport. In nicely restored condition, a rare chance to obtain a Castle nameplate with the Castle Class appendage.
GWR brass cabside numberplate 5090 ex GWR Castle 4-6-0 Neath Abbey (see previous lot for details). Face restored.
GWR brass signal lever leads x6 consisting of numbers 27 DISC, 23 UP MAIN, 28 BAY, 22 F.P.L. , 20 No2 SIDING and 25 DISC. All originate from the Cambrian section of the GWR.
Tyers mahogany cased LNER (Scottish) 2 Line block instrument complete with integral bell. In good condition although some of the dial paint is flaking. Not common.
Totem BR(S) FF dark green ADDISCOMBE from the former SECR station at the end of the branch line from Woodside and Coombe Road. In excellent condition, a rare totem that has only appeared twice before at auction.
Shedplate 16B Kirkby In Ashfield 1955-1963 then Annesley 1963-1966 and lastly Colwick 1966-1970. Face restored with clear casting bars to the front.

Smokebox numberplate 70027 ex BR Riddles 4-6-2 Britannia RISING STAR built at Crewe in 1952 and delivered new to 86C Cardiff Canton. Other sheds included Aston, Holyhead, Crewe, Llandudno Junction and 12A Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdrawn in July 1967. Scrapped later the same year at Motherwell Machinery And Scrap, Wishaw. Face restored.

Allocations included Shrewsbury, Cardiff Canton, Swindon, Gloucester Horton Road, Old Oak Common, Laira, Worcester and withdrawn from 81 A Old Oak Common in December 1963. Scrapped the following year at Birds Risca. Face restored.

Rectangular cast brass, face restored, measures 8.25in x 5in.

Shedplate 84G Shrewsbury 1950-1961 with sub sheds Builth Road, Clee Hill to 1960, Coalport, Craven Arms, Knighton and Ludlow to 1951. Then Kidderminster 1961-1963 with a Subshed of Cleobury Mortimer to 1962. Face restored with typical Swindon casting marks in the rear and edge.
GWR glass Water Carafe, acid etched to the front with the GWR Roundel. Stands 17in tall and is in excellent condition.

London Transport Underground coffee pot station repeater signal lamp. These date from Edwardian times and were originally used as an aid for the guard to check that the road was clear prior to closing the doors. In original condition complete with bo th coloured bullseye lenses. A rare LT lamp, stands 17in tall.

Nameplate SLIOCH ex BR Class 60 60087 built at Brush Loughborough in 1991 as works number 989 and named when built. Nameplates were removed in April 2004. Rectangular cast aluminium measuring 26in x 9.75in and in as removed condition.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplate GWR 372 ex Taff Vale Railway Cameron Class A 0-6-2 T built by Nasmyth Wilson in 1919 and numbered TVR 138. Renumbered by the GWR 372 at the Grouping. Allocated to 88C Barry from where it was withdrawn in February 195 5 and scrapped. Face restored.
Smokebox numberplate 4928 ex Collett 4-6-0 Hall GATACRE HALL built at Swindon in 1929. Shedded at Swindon , Old Oak Common, Didcot, Taunton, Laira, Truro, Cardiff Canton, Llanelly and withdrawn from 87B Duffryn Yard in December 1963. Scrapped in Janu ary 1965 at Cashmores Newport. In face restored condition complete with original Swindon receipt and correspondence dated 14th June 1965.
Totem BR(W) FF STOURBRIDGE JUNCTION from the former Great Western Railway station between Kidderminster and Dudley. This is the much rarer version with Junction in the lower panel. In excellent condition with a minor chip on the left hand side.

GWR/BR-W Tyers No9 single line aluminium key token EVESHAM - MORETON-IN-MARSH. In ex railway condition measuring 7.5in long.
Great Northern Railway 8in mahogany cased railway clock with a wire driven English fusee movement. The dial has been restored back to its original pre grouping dial writing by Dr D.R. Parr and now reads G.N.R. 382 JNo WALKER 68 CORNHILL & 230 REG ENT ST LONDON. The case is in good lightly cleaned original condition with a bottom door secured with a lock and one side door and still retains its original cast bezel. The LNER records supplied by Dr Parr together with a letter confirm this clock was last in railway service at Old Leake signal box. A nice clock in working condition complete with pendulum and key.
