Midland Railway enamel sign MIDLAND RAILWAY THESE BUCKETS MUST BE KEPT FULL OF CLEAN WATER AND USED ONLY IN CASE OF FIRE. Etc. DERBY. JAN. 1909. BY ORDER. Measures 11in x 6in, marked at the bottom Protector Enamel Eccles. In good condition with a cou ple of small areas of restoration.
Totem BR(NE) FF CARGO FLEET from the former North Eastern Railway station between Middlesbrough and Saltburn. In excellent condition with a small area of restoration on the right hand end.
Shedplate 88A Cardiff Cathays 1950-1957 with a Subshed of Radyr, Radyr 1957-1961, Cardiff Canton 1961-1963 with a Subshed of Cardiff East Dock until 1962. Face restored with clear Swindon casting marks to rear and edge.
Barry Railway cast iron Tenancy House numberplate No39. These were used on the Barry Railway Tied Houses. Measures 3in x 1.75in. Nicely face restored.
Smokebox numberplate 5006 ex GWR Collett 4-6-0 Castle TREGENNA CASTLE built at Swindon in 1927 and used on the world famous Cheltenham Flyer. Shedded at Old Oak Common, Laira, Landore, Bristol Bath Road, Weymouth, Cardiff Canton, Llanelly and withdra wn from 87G Carmarthen in April 1962. Scrapped the following year at Cashmores Newport. Face restored.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 7232 ex GWR Churchward 2-8-0 T built at Swindon in 1926. Allocations included Cardiff Canton, Ebbw Junction, Barry and 87F Llanelly from where it was withdrawn in May 1965. Scrapped later the same year at Birds Bynea . In lightly face restored condition.
Diesel worksplate GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION Designed & Manufactured with Alstom Assembled at: Valencia, Spain. MODEL JT42HW-HS, SERIAL 968742-26, Class 67, DATE 04-00 ex class 67 67026. Rectangular stainless steel in ex loco condition and measur es 12in x 4in. One from the last batch of the 30 locomotives built.
Midland Railway large saucer top 3 Aspect handlamp stamped in the side MRCo and brass plated twice MIDLAND RAILWAY 10717. Complete with all glasses and LMS reservoir. In very good condition, not as common as the smaller Midland lamps.

Carriage Print NEVIN, CAERNARVONSHIRE by Ellis Silas from the LMR (A) Series, issued 1950. In original type frame. The print measures 25in x 10in and is in excellent condition.
Pullman silverplate Tea Service consisting of a small teapot, small water jug, two handled sugar bowl and a milk jug. All are marked on the front with the Pullman Coat Of Arms and all base marked Walker & Hall. All 4 items are in excellent condit ion.
Worksplate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY LTD GLASGOW QUEENS PARK WORKS No21896 1918 ex Robinson Rod 2-8-0 built for The Railway Operating Division and later purchased by the GWR and numbered 3037. Allocated to Pontypool Road and withdrawn from the re in August 1948. Scrapped the following year at Swindon works. Diamond shaped cast brass with 3037 stamped in the back. Face cleaned, measures 12.75in x 5.25in.
Diesel nameplate THE CANARY with badge ex BR Class 08 0-6-0 built at Darlington in 1960 and originally numbered D4037. Renumbered 08869 in 1974 and named at Norwich Crown Point Depot by Steve Bruce (captain of Norwich City Football Club) in May 1987. Nameplates were removed in April 1997 when the loco was withdrawn due to fire damage and then scrapped. The cast aluminium badge and nameplate have been lightly restored and mounted on a steel back plate for display which measures 41.5in x 21.5in.
Totem BR(S) HF WINCHESTER CITY from the former London and South Western Railway station between Basingstoke and Eastleigh. In good condition with a couple of small areas of restoration.
Shedplate 88C Barry 1950-1964. Lightly face cleaned with clear Swindon casting and machining marks to edge and rear.
BR(M) Quad Royal enamel Poster Board heading. In very good condition measures 50.5in x 5.75in.
Midland Railway 12in dial mahogany cased railway clock. The silvered dial is engraved and black wax filled JNO WALKER 77 CORNHILL & 230 REGENT ST LONDON 5533 and features time regulation from the front. The typical Walker English fusee movement i s mounted to the dial with screwed in pillars. The ornately carved mahogany case with fancy shaped drop also retains its original cast brass bezel. The LMS numberplate has been removed but its shadow can clearly be seen. A rare and impressive Midland clock thought to have been in use at St Pancras Station. Complete with pendulum and key and in working condition.
Modern image Virgin Trains station sign YORK. Manufactured from screen printed aluminium, in ex railway condition, measuring 31in x 13in.
British Railways Scottish Region Capbadges consisting of; British Railways chrome totem, British Railways gilt totem, Foreman chrome totem. All 3 are marked J. R. Gaunt. Also a fishtail Guard. All 4 items are in very good condition.
LNER cast pewter paperweights; Silver Link No2509 engine of the Silver Jubilee, complete with box; Flying Scotsman 4472. Both are in good condition and measure 5.5in long. Rare to find an original box.

Southern Railway enamel target sign HORSTED KEYNES from the former London Brighton & South Coast Railway station between East Grinstead and Lewes. In good condition with some restoration to the edge. A famous station on the Bluebell railway that has been used for many period TV dramas.
Cabside numberplate 5664 ex GWR Collett 0-6-2 T built at Swindon in 1926. Sheds included Ferndale and 88C Barry from where it was withdrawn in August 1962. Scrapped the following year at Swindon Works.
Smokebox numberplate 44131 ex Fowler 4F 0-6-0 built at Crewe in 1925. Sheds included Nottingham, Westhouses, Saltley and withdrawn from 9M Bury in November 1964. Scrapped the following year at T. W. Ward Killamarsh. A typical Derby style casting whic h has been restored. Accompanying it is a framed and glazed photograph of the locomotive at Bromsgrove at the bottom of the Lickey Incline.
GWR pre grouping enamel double sided sign GENTLEMEN in original wooden frame with steel wall mounting. Both sides in very good condition, measures 35in x 26in.

Worksplate BUILT 1949 DERBY. Locomotives built this year were LMS resigned 2-6-4 T 42107-42132, 42183-42186 and LMS designed Class 11 0-6-0 Diesel Shunters 12050-12066. Oval cast iron measuring 10.375in x 6in. Lightly face restored.
Diesel worksplate BRUSH SULZER No656 1965 ex BR Diesel Class 47 originally numbered D1894 then 47375 in 1974. Named Tinsley Traction Depot in 1990. Allocated to 40B Immingham initially. Oval cast aluminium measuring 9.25in x 5.7in. In as removed cond ition and stamped in the back 4064703-13. The Locomotive was exported to Hungary and currently operating on freight and special workings.
Great Central Railway cast iron registration wagonplate TO CARRY 12 TONS 6767 G.C.RY CO. Face restored and both lugs intact, measures 8in wide.
A pair of GWR brass cashbag plates GWR ABINGDON and GWR MIDGHAM. Both still attached to the leather backing and measure 3in x 1.5in.

London Underground 1 Pint china mug with Underground late 1920's logo to front. Base marked Metwell Stone China Co London NE. In good condition with one small base chip, measures 4in diameter x 4in tall.
GWR brass signal lever leads x6 consisting of numbers 8 SPUR SAFETY, 13 DOWN MAIN, 9 FPL, 1 UP MAIN, 10 DOWN MAIN and 8 DISC. All originate from the Cambrian section of the GWR.
Nameplate BINNEGAR HALL. Ex GWR Collet 4-6-0 Hall Class Locomotive number 4904 built Swindon December 1928. Shedded at Shrewsbury, Tyseley, Shrewsbury and withdrawn from 83B Taunton in December 1963 scrapped the following year at Birds Risca. In ligh tly cleaned original condition, rear stamped LDIN No 5954 Lot No 254 indicating this is the left hand plate. Binnegar Hall is near to Wareham in Dorset. Offered with a lower reserve than our November sale.

BR diesel aluminium shedplate A81 Old Oak Common ex Class 47 47484 (noted on rear). Face restored and back cleaned with evidence of some corrosion.

GWR Brass cabside numberplate 6831 ex Collett 4-6-0 Grange Bearley Grange built at Swindon in August 1937. Initially allocated to Banbury then Tyseley, Birkenhead, St. Philip's Marsh and 84B Oxley from where it was withdrawn in October 1965 and cut u p at G. Cohen, Kettering. Nicely face restored.
GWR Carriage Panels WADEBRIDGE RIVER CAMEL & ILFRACOMBE, TOWN & BEACH FROM CAPSTONE. These Photochrom colour-tinted panels date from around 1895, and are framed & glazed with titled mounts. Both prints measure 11.25in x 9.75in and are in excellent condition.
GNR mahogany cased Single Line Pegging block instruments, a pair. One is stamped 1561 on the trigger, the other 1435 on the base. Both stand 19in tall and are in ex railway condition, complete with relay boxes on the back.
BR FF enamel sign with the Double Arrow logo. In very good condition with a few minor chips measures 22in x 13in. Unusual in enamel.

Enamel doorplate THOMAS MOY LIMITED B.S. THOMPSON SECRETARY. Thomas Moy were based in Peterborough and were famous for building railway wagons. In as removed condition with some chipping, measures 12in x 3in.
Southern Railway enamel target station sign SWANLEY from the former South Eastern and Chatham Railway station between Bromley South and Rochester. In good condition with a few small chips and normal edge chipping. Measures 29in long.
London Underground enamel frieze sign BAKERLOO LINE. In very good condition with minor edge chipping, measures 25in x 9in.
GWR 3 Aspect coppertop handlamp complete with GWR etched front lens and correct copper skinned reservoir stamped S.B. G.W.R. An oval brass numberplate 12756 is fixed to the side and the lamp is complete with all glasses. In original condition.
Original Oil Painting LAST DAYS AT ROSE GROVE by Joe Townend (GRA) Depicts an atmospheric scene with Stanier Black 5 number 44777 in the foreground and Stanier 8F number 48493 behind. In Excellent condition measures 24in x 18in unframed on stretcher.
BR-W pressed aluminium ground frame plate HAY LANE GF. This Ground Frame was situated some 3 miles west of Swindon to operate an emergency crossover between the Up and Down Mains. It was electrically released from Swindon Panel SB (now housed at GWS Didcot), and the plate was from the cupboard which housed the Annetts Key Release Instrument holding the Annetts Key to unlock the single lever frame. In ex railway condition.
