Worksplate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY LTD GLASGOW No 21156 1915 ex Taff Vale Railway Cameron A Class 0-6-2 T originally numbered TVR 42, then GWR 439 and GWR 312. Allocated to Barry and 88A Cardiff Cathays from where it was withdrawn in June 19 56 and scrapped. Face restored with Caerphilly painted on the back. Oval cast brass measures 9.5in x 6.25in. Face restored. See Lot 108 for the cabside numberplate.
Smokebox numberplate 4644 ex GWR Collett 0-6-0 PT built at Swindon in 1943. Allocations included Shrewsbury, Old Oak Common, Swindon, Taunton, Llanelly and withdrawn from 87J Fishguard Goodwick in October 1963. Scrapped the following year at Swindon. Lightly face restored.

London Transport Underground enamel sign TRAFALGAR SQUARE STATION (now renamed Charing Cross). Measures 51in x 4in and is in good condition with minor chipping. These signs were used above the subway entrance as there were no surface buildings.

Totem BR(W) FF WREXHAM (EXCHANGE) from the former Great Central Railway station between Wrexham Central and Connah's Quay. In very good condition with a couple of well executed repairs.
GWR signal lever leads, a pair; 1 DETONATOR OFF UP MAIN ON, 2 DETONATOR OFF DOWN MAIN ON. These are the much rarer Standard GWR Lever Pattern detonator plates as opposed to the normal oval type. Both in ex railway condition and measure 5.5in long.
Great Northern Railway 3 Aspect double pie crust large pattern Handlamp stamped in the reducing cone GNR 3 83 (denotes March 1883) and stamped in the side GNR. Brass plated GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY COMPANY SPALDING 33 and also steel plated GOSPERTON 23 . Complete with LNER fore and aft reservoir, LNE burner and all glasses. In lightly cleaned condition.
London Brighton and South Coast Railway nickel cased pocket watch with Swiss Omega top wound and top set movement serial number 5607655. The case is engraved inside LONDON BRIGHTON & SOUTH COAST RAILWAY 982. and also engraved H.O. INSP FRIPP 1892 -1937. Dial is free from chips and marked OMEGA. In good working condition.

Worksplate ROBERT STEPHENSON & HAWTHORNS LTD NEWCASTLE WORKS 7600 1949 ex 0-6-0 ST delivered new to the NCB at South Hetton Colliery and numbered 63. It moved in 1959 to Lambton loco shed on the Philadelphia system and worked the last day of stea m on February 15th 1969. Scrapped on site the following year. Oval cast brass measuring 13in x 8.5in and is face restored. Comes complete with photos and a fact sheet compiled by the vendor.

Delivered new to the D16 Nottingham division and withdrawn from Toton in September 1989. Rectan gular chromed brass measures 10.25in x 4.5in and is in excellent condition.

Totem BR(M) FF LLANFAIRFECHAN from the former London and North Western Railway station between Bangor and Rhyl. In as removed very good condition. A rare totem only at auction twice before.
GWR brass cabside numberplate 4080 ex Collett Castle 4-6-0 named POWDERHAM CASTLE built at Swindon in 1924. Allocations included Old Oak Common, Plymouth Laira, Landore, Weymouth, Westbury, Newton Abbot, Shrewsbury, Bristol Bath Road, Cardiff Canton, Cardiff East Dock, and 81C Southall from where it was withdrawn in August 1964 and scrapped later the same year at Cashmore's Newport. In restored condition with boiler and class details stamped into the rim.
Great Western Railway 12 inch mahogany cased drop dial trunk fusee railway clock with a large early A frame chain driven fusee movement, segmented wooden surround, two side access doors and a bottom door with the lock removed and replaced with a GWR ball bearing catch. The bezel still retains its wartime black finish. The GWR ivorine clock numberplate GWR 728 is screwed to the front of the drop. The original dial has GWR in block style and KAY & CO makers ghosted at the bottom. A superb example in excellent original working condition complete with pendulum and key. Circa 1870, originates from Cornwall.

In as removed condition measures 43in x 18in. Comes with DB Cargo (UK ) Ltd authenticity certificate and photos of the plate on both locomotives.

Worksplate HUDSWELL CLARKE & CO LTD RAILWAY FOUNDRY LEEDS No D.1268 1962 ex 0-6-0 Diesel Hydraulic supplied to the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board and numbered 42. After withdrawal it was sent to Hunslet for rebuilding as HE 7472 1975 and exported to Tate & Lyle in Trinidad. Oval cast brass measuring 12.75in x 8.25in. Face lightly cleaned. Nameplate EARL OF DUNRAVEN ex GWR Collett Castle 4-6-0 5044 and GWR Collett Dukedog 4-4-0 9001. 5044 was originally named Beverston Castle when built at Swindon in 1936 but these were removed and replaced with the Earl plate from the Dukedog in Septe mber 1937. Allocated to Old Oak Common, Swindon, Neath (Court Sart) and 88A Cardiff Canton from where it was withdrawn in April 1962. Scrapped later the same year at Swindon Works. Face restored.
