Great Western Railway 12 inch mahogany cased drop dial fusee railway clock with a rectangular plated English fusee movement, one piece wooden surround, two side access doors and a bottom door with the lock removed and replaced with a GWR ball bearing catch. The reproduction GWR ivorine clock numberplate GWR 1517 is screwed to the front of the drop and the original is included although it has been cut down. The nicely restored dial has GWR in the Roundel style. In very good working condition complete with pendulum and key. Circa 1870.
Worksplate THE VULCAN FOUNDRY LIMITED NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS LANCASHIRE No 3492 1921 ex Taff Vale Railway Cameron A Class 0-6-2 T originally numbered TVR 75 then GWR 347. Allocated to 88A Cardiff Cathays and withdrawn from there in December 1956. Oval cas t brass measuring 9.5in x 5in. In original condition.
Smokebox numberplate 64987 ex LNER Gresley J39 built at Darlington in 1941. Allocated to New England, Grantham, Retford Thrumpton (G.C.) and 36A Doncaster from where it was withdrawn in March 1961 and scrapped later the same year. Lightly face resto red.

Diesel worksplate THE HUNSLET ENGINE CO LTD LEEDS 175HP No LE 9400 1988. Ex 20 tonne 900mm gauge battery rack adhesion 0-4-0 locomotive running number RA13. Delivered to the Channel Tunnel group and used during the construction of the tunnel. Oval ca st brass lightly cleaned condition measuring 11.5in x 8in. A plate from one of the locomotives that worked on the most significant engineering feet of the 20th Century.
Totem BR(W) FF QUAKERS YARD (LOW LEVEL) from the former Taff Vale Railway station between Merthyr and Pontypridd. In very good condition with a couple of very small chips. A rare totem.
LNWR signal box board FORD BRIDGE from the Shrewsbury Hereford Joint line between Leominster and Hereford. Wood with cast iron letters, in original condition, measures 49.5in x 5.5in.
GWR brass Signal Lever lead 60 DOWN MAIN TO DOWN PLATF'M LINE HOME 43 46 47 48 OR 42 43 46 47 48. Measures 13.5in long and is in ex railway condition.
GWR locomotive Splasher from 6984 Owsden Hall complete with brass beading. Partly restored, ideal to mount a GWR nameplate for display. Measures 57in long x 11in deep x 11in tall.
BR(Sc) FF station direction enamel sign WISHAW CENTRAL with British Railways totem in the top and right facing arrow. In good condition with slight loss of shine, measures 28in x 13in.
GWR brass cabside numberplate 1448 ex Collett 0-4-2 T built at Swindon in 1935 and originally numbered 4848, renumbered in 1946 to 1448. Allocated to Oxford and 81B Slough from where it was withdrawn in June 1960 and scrapped later the same year at S windon Works. Lightly face restored.
Shedplate 81D Reading 1950-1973 with sub sheds Basingstoke to 1950 and Henley-on-Thames to 1958. Face restored with clear Swindon casting marks to rear and edge.
GWR cast iron lamp post complete with original Sugg lamp case. The post measures 123in tall and the lamp case including frog 37in. Both are in excellent condition and are currently stored in Evesham. The successful purchaser would need to arrange a s uitable time for collection within 14 days of the auction.
GWR signal box diagram TRAM INN dated 25-9-41 from the signal box between Pontrilas and Ayleston Hill. In very good condition measures 52in x 17in.

Totem BR(S)FF ST.JOHNS from the former South Eastern and Chatham Railway station between New Cross and Chislehurst. In very good condition with one small repair to the white on the right hand end.
Pullman carriage lamps x3, all First Class down lights complete with original glass shades. All in very good condition except one has a small amount of loss to the glass shade, measure 10in long.
GWR locomotive SPLASHER ex Collett Castle 7037 Swindon. Complete with original Swindon Coat Of Arms and original paint. This is the front face plate of the splasher and has had brackets welded to the top for nameplate display.
LNWR sign GENTLEMEN with pointing finger. Double sided wood with cast iron letters measures 45in x 12in. Both sides in good original condition.
Worksplate ANDREW BARCLAY SONS & CO LTD CALEDONIA WORKS KILMARNOCK No434 1959 ex British Railways Class 06 0-4-0 DM numbered D2419. Originally allocated to 61A Kittybrewster and withdrawn from 64H Leith Central in January 1969. Scrapped the follo wing month at G. H. Campbell Airdrie. Oval cast aluminium measures 9.75in x 7.25in. In as removed condition with green paint on the edge.
GWR china Ashtray marked with the GWR roundel in the centre and WREXHAM PILSENER LAGER. Base is marked Royal Doulton England. Measures 4in diameter and is in excellent condition.
Midland and Great Northern Railway Boiler Plate BOILER M&GN 1928 undoubtably from Johnson 0-6-0 J40/41 built by Kitson in 1899 as works number 3876 and numbered 69, later LNER 069. Records show that this locomotive was reboilered in January 1928 and was withdrawn in July 1942 and scrapped. Oval cast brass measuring 6in x 3.75in. In as removed condition.
Brass Single Line Tablet GLENFINNAN - ARISAIG number 29. A wonderful item from a famous location between Fort William and Mallaig. Scene of one of the most famous viaducts in railway history and in modern days, route to Hogwarts, school and wizard ac ademy of Harry Potter. Excellent condition.
BR-W/GWR single line aluminium key token LUXULYAN - GOONBARROW JC. In original brown paint which is unusual but maybe used because it was in an intermediate section instrument on the platform. Complete with original end.
Shedplate 87A Neath 1950-1965 with sub sheds Glyn Neath to 1964 and Neath Bridge Street to 1964. Face restored rear original, this is the more unusual later raised back casting.
Totem BR(W) HF WORCESTER FOREGATE STREET from the former Great Western station in the centre of the City between Shrub Hill and Henwick. In very good condition with a few well executed repairs.
BR(S) FF enamel sign DIVISIONAL SHIPPING MANAGER. Measures 36in x 12in and is in very good condition with a few small chips. Possibly ex Dover or Folkestone.
GWR brass cabside numberplate GWR 3028 ex Robinson Rod 2-8-0 built by Nasmyth Wilson as works number 1281 in 1918 and delivered to the Railway Operating Division. Purchased by the GWR in 1925 and allocated to Croes Newydd and 84B Oxley from where it was withdrawn in August 1956 and scrapped. Face restored with boiler and engine details stamped into the rim. See also Lot 161 for the worksplate from the same locomotive.
GN & GC Railway cast iron TRESPASS sign, LNER casting 07. Face restored, rear original with good post mark. Measures 26in x 17in. Not common.
Midland Railway Ground Frame mahogany cased Indicator stamped MRCo 1914 on the top and traffolite plated 35. In ex railway condition, not common.
North Eastern Railway mahogany cased 10 inch fusee clock lettered on the dial BR 2697 with original spun brass bezel and a chain driven English fusee movement. In recently overhauled working condition complete with pendulum and key. The LNER clock re cords show it was last in use at Darlington Bank Top Station Telegraph Office Downstairs and was originally NER clock number 1338. Interestingly Broxbourne SM is marked on the back so it might have transferred down there late on in its railway life, circa 1900.
Smokebox numberplate 92219 ex BR Riddles 9F 2-10-0 built at Swindon in 1960 and was the penultimate British Railways steam locomotive to be built. Allocated to St Phillips Marsh, Cardiff Canton and 88L Cardiff East Dock from where it was withdrawn in August 1968 and sent to Woodham Bros Barry. It is now awaiting restoration at the Wensleydale Railway. Face restored.
GWR brass signal box shelfplate NEWQUAY, hand engraved with original wax filling. Measures 4.75in x 1.5in and is in ex box condition.
Original pencil sketch by Terence Cuneo of a GWR PRAIRIE LOCOMOTIVE crossing a bridge on the now preserved Dart Valley Railway. Framed, glazed and mounted, the drawing measures 10.5in x 8in. In good condition with a few areas of spotting.
Worksplate BUILT BY BRIISH RAIL ENGINEERING LIMITED DONCASTER WORKS 1980 ex British Railways Class 56 56075. Originally allocated to Tinsley and named West Yorkshire Enterprise in 1985. Withdrawn in October 1999 and scrapped. Rectangular cast alumini um measures 7in x 4.75in. In very good condition and stamped 56075 in the back.
Totem BR(Sc) FF CRAIGENDORAN from the former North British Railway station on the West Highland Line to Fort William and was closed in 1964. In excellent condition with a couple of very small chip repairs.

BR(S) FF enamel doorplate WAITING AND LADIES ROOM measuring 18in x 6in. In excellent condition with one small edge chip and marked Mead McLean & Co Ltd on the back.
Cardiff Railway enamel sign re SMOKING IS PROHIBITED signed E. A. Prosser General Manager and Dock Master Bute Docks Dec 1920. Has some chipping to the edge, measures 22in x 17in.
Nameplate HOLLAND AFRIKA LINE ex Southern Railway Merchant Navy 4-6-2 built at Eastleigh in 1948 and numbered 35023. Allocations included Bournemouth, Weymouth and 70A Nine Elms from where it was withdrawn in July 1967. Scrapped the following year. I n nicely face restored condition.
Shedplate 82E Yeovil Pen Mill 1950-1958 and Bristol Barrow Road 1958-1965. Face restored with clear Swindon casting marks to rear and edge.
Worksplate SUPER SENTINEL PATENT LOCOMOTIVE LOCO No 7232 from a 0-4-0 locomotive. Built in 1927 and delivered to British Tar Products Irlam Manchester and worked there until taken out of service in 1969. Preserved at the Embsay & Bolton Railway u nder the guise of LMS 7164. Cast brass measuring 10in x 5.25in. Face cleaned and rear stamped 5984.
London Underground enamel target/bullseye sign STRATFORD. Cast aluminium frame with enamel inserts. In excellent as removed condition measures 33in x 27in.
BR(S) FF enamel signal box board ALDERSHOT from the box on the line between Woking and Farnham. In good condition with some small areas of chipping. Measures 66in x 9in.
London Transport Underground enamel sign WAY OUT AND MAIN LINE STATION with right facing arrow. Measures 37in x 9.5in and is in very good condition with a couple of small chip repairs.
Totem BR(M) FF PENMAENMAWR from the former London and North Western Railway station between Bangor and Rhyl. In good displayable condition with some areas of well executed restoration.
BR(NE) enamel doorplate WAITING ROOM measuring 18in x 6in. Has had one small repair to the top.
GWR brass cabside numberplate 312 ex Taff Vale Railway Cameron A Class 0-6-2 T originally numbered TVR 42, then GWR 439 and GWR 312. Allocated to Barry and 88A Cardiff Cathays from where it was withdrawn in June 1956 and scrapped. Face restored with Caerphilly painted on the back. One of only ten ex TVR locomotives that carried brass cabsides. See Lot 10 for the worksplate.
Nameplate FRESHWATER ex Class 421 Three car modified CIG EMU. Originally numbered 1883 and then 1497 and named Freshwater by South West Trains and was used on the Lymington branch. Cast aluminium in as removed condition. Measures 30in x 7.5in.

London and North Western Railway 5in slate cased railway clock. The French twin going barrel movement with strike on the quarter and half, the enamel dial is free from chips and the slate case has the LNWR enamel numberplate 3087 screwed to the back. A nice clock in working condition complete with pendulum and key. Circa 1880 and confirmed from having been used in the Station Masters office at Liverpool Lime street station.

Nameplate STOCKTON HAULAGE ex British Railway Class 37 Diesel 37511 built by English Electric in 1963 and numbered D6803 then 37103 in 1973 and 37511 in 1986. Named by Glyn Samuel at Stockton Station. Nameplates removed in November 1995 and the locom otive was again renumbered to 37607. Cast aluminium measuring 66in x 10in and is in as removed condition.
