BR(NE) totem shaped enamel Poster Board Heading BRITISH RAILWAYS dark tangerine with black edge letters. In very good condition with one small chip at the top. Measures 24in x 6.7in which is a size not previously known.
Nameplate ALISON ex 0-4-0 ST built by Avonside Engine Co as works number 1590 in 1910 and delivered new to John Lysaght Ltd, Orb Iron Works, Newport. This locomotive spent its entire working life in the sidings under the Transporter Bridge at Newport . Scrapped in 1962 by A. R. Adams of Newport. Rectangular cast brass, lightly face restored, measuring 23.5in x 5.25in.

London & South Western Railway nickel cased pocket watch with American Waltham Watch Co 15 jewel movement No 11436875 which dates this watch to 1902. Top wound and top set, the dial has a couple of hairline cracks. The rear of the case is hand en graved L.S.W.R. No 2495 PASSENGER and is in excellent condition, unlike most that are well worn. In working condition.
LSWR brass cased signal repeater. In good original condition with some paint flaking to the face. Measures 7in x 4in.
Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway cast iron Sign S.& D.J.R. BEWARE OF TRAINS in totally original condition with British Railways Western region paint, possibly the best one ever offered for sale. Measures 26in x 16.5in.
Great Western Railway 14in Pine cased wall mounted Railway clock. The weight driven movement has rectangular plates with a steel pendulum rod and a circular brass bob. The Pine wall mounted case would have originally been painted and the original pai nt is still visible inside. The GWR ivorine clock numberplate 434 is screwed onto the front of the case and the dial has been restored to a high standard. A rare GWR clock in good working condition complete with pendulum, weight and key, stands 48in tall. The GWR clock winding records show this clock as located at Swindon works Oil stores and it was wound every Tuesday morning. Circa 1860-70.
Great Eastern Railway 6inch Mahogany cased Fusee Bracket clock manufactured for the G.E.R. by Bevan of Tottenham London circa 1880. The English chain driven fusee movement has rectangular snailed plates and the dial is written BR (E) 57 and retains i ts original cast brass bezel with a keyed lock and the Gothic style case has a glazed rear door. The L.N.E.R. records show that this clock was used at Liverpool Street Station Traffic Manager Room 4 and lastly Liverpool Street Motive Power. A rare and unusual Railway timepiece used by senior employees, complete with pendulum and keys and in working condition, stands 15in tall.
BR(S) Running in Board RUDGWICK from the former London Brighton and South Coast Railway station between Guildford and Horsham, often referred to as the Cranleigh Line. Opened in 1865 and closed just short of its centenary, on 12th June 1965. Measures 72in x 18in and is in fair condition with a crease and some chipping, however a rare chance to acquire an enamel sign from this elusive line.
GWR tenderplate GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY COMPANY SWINDON WORKS 1892 JAN 1914 3500 GALLONS from a standard Churchward tender that were used on amongst other locomotives Castles, Halls, Granges and Manors. Oval engraved brass measuring 11.25in x 8.25in. L ightly face cleaned.

GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 6736 ex Collett 0-6-0 PT built by The Yorkshire Engine Company in 1930. Allocated to Cardiff East Dock and 82C Swindon from where it was withdrawn in February 1959. Scrapped the following year at Williams Barry Docks . Lightly face restored.

Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD LONDON No 2814/D529 1960 THE VULCAN FOUNDRY LTD LOCOMOTIVE WORKS ENGLAND ex British Railways Class 40 originally numbered D292 then 40092 in 1973. Allocated to 5A Crewe North and withdrawn from Longsight Di esel in November 1982. Scrapped at BREL Swindon in 1986. Rectangular chromed brass in very good condition, stamped 40092 in the back.
Worksplate LNER BUILT 1944 SR ex Stanier 8F in the number range LNER 3500-24, LMS 8705-29 and BR 48705-29. This batch of 25 locomotives were all built at Brighton Works. Oval cast brass measuring 10.5in x 6in. Lightly cleaned.
Shedplate 88D Merthyr Tydfil 1950-1964 with sub sheds of Dowlais Cae Harris, Dowlais Central and Rhymney, then Rhymney 1964-1965. Restored with clear Swindon casting and machining marks to edge and rear.
BR wooden carriage board BIRMINGHAM - LINCOLN. Measures 28in x 3.25in and is in very good ex railway condition complete with metal ends.

Original oil painting on board AYR STATION, by Gerald Broom with an atmospheric view of BR Standard class 73137 and a Peak class diesel on a Stranraer express. Signed bottom right hand corner and with a paper label to rear. Nicely framed 29in x 17in and is in excellent condition.

Nameplate GRAYTHWAITE HALL ex GWR Hawksworth modified Hall 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1947 and numbered 6976. A long time 84C Banbury loco, it could be regularly seen working over the Great Central. Withdrawn from Banbury in October 1965 and scrapped the following year at Cashmores Great Bridge. A nice extended backplate Hall nameplate in lightly cleaned condition.

Allocated new to 73C Hither Green and withdrawn from there in November 1975 a nd scrapped the following year. Rectangular chromed brass in very good condition measures 8in x 5.75in. Stamped in the back 33041.

London and North Western Railway 8in mahogany cased English fusee railway clock. The English fusee movement has rectangular plates held together by turned pillars, the dial has been professionally re written in the correct style by DR D.R. Parr and r eads L&NWR JNo Walker 127 Fenchurch St & 63 New Bond St London 8138 (this number is the Walker clock number not the LNWR clock number). The case, with a turned surround and LNWR enamel numberplate 788 screwed to the right hand side has one side door and a bottom door secured with a catch. A nice clock in working condition complete with pendulum and key. Circa 1870 and from the Liverpool area.

Purchased by the GWR in 1925 and allocated to Croes Newydd and 84B Oxley from where it was withdrawn in August 1956 and scrapped. Triangular cast brass measuring 13.75in x 5.25in. Face restored with 2328 stamped into the back. See Lot 88 for the Cabside numberplate.

Named in December 1995 at Chester Wagon Depot by Martin Gale, Raw Materials Manager at Shotton Paper Mill. Withdrawn in 2009 and sc rapped the following year at EMR Kingsbury. Rectangular cast aluminium, in as removed condition, measuring 45in x 17.75in.

Cabside numberplate E3029 ex British Railways Class 83 Electric built by English Electric Vulcan Foundry as works number E2933/E269 in October 1960. Originally allocated to ACL WCML Electric Traction and withdrawn from LG Longsight Electric in August 1983. Scrapped the following year at V. Berry Leicester. Steel backplate with stainless steel letters, measures 32in x 7.5in. In nice original condition.
GWR brass Signal Lever Leads x10 to include; 1, 15, 17, 18, 25, 31, 39, 56, 58 and a Detonator lever plate. All believed to be from the Reading area and in ex railway condition.
Diesel Worksplate ANDREW BARCLAY SONS & Co LTD No 404 1956 ex British Railways unclassified number D2402 and initially allocated to 40A Lincoln. Withdrawn from 41E Staveley (Barrow Hill) in September 1967 and scrapped seven months later at C.F. B ooth Rotherham. Oval shaped cast aluminium in as removed condition. One of a small class of ten locos only.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 2222 ex GWR Collett 0-6-0 built at Swindon in 1940 and allocated to, Old Oak common, Shrewsbury, Croes Newydd, Machynlleth and 85A Worcester from where it was withdrawn in May 1965 and scrapped the following month. I n lovely untouched condition.

Totem BR(E) HF WANSTEAD PARK from the former Midland Railway station between Leytonstone and East Ham. A rare totem that has only appeared once before at auction. In excellent condition with one small face chip and complete with original bracket.
LSWR Sykes Lock and Block Instrument, dial painted 12 TO RICHMOND FROM BOLLO LANE. Complete with makers plate, key line block pin and top indicator. In very good condition. NOTE the bottom levers have been removed so it will sit on a shelf.
Southern Railway cast iron sign S.R. NEITHER MATCHES NOR LIGHTS MUT BE TAKEN NEAR STORED PARAFFIN. In original condition with Western Region paint, and original SR underneath, indicating that this could have come from the South West. A rare sign base d on the common LSWR version. Measures 16.5in x 12in.
Cardiff Railway 12in oak cased chain driven fusee railway clock. The oak case with eight piece surround has two side doors and a bottom door secured with the typical GWR ball bearing catch, the GWR ivorine numberplate 833 is screwed onto the right ha nd side and the rear of the case is hand painted CR Co 30. The rectangular chain driven fusee movement is in good clean condition and stamped 11.240, the original dial is painted with GWR in roundel style. Complete and in working condition with pendulum and key.
