Smokebox numberplate 62054 ex Peppercorn K1 2-6-0 built by the North British Locomotive Company in 1949 as works number 26658. Allocated to March and 36E Retford Thrumpton (G.C.) from where it was withdrawn in December 1964. Scrapped the following ye ar at Hughes Bolckows. In lightly cleaned original condition.

Diesel Worksplate METROPOLITAN VICKERS ELECTRICAL CO LTD MANCHESTER ENGLAND 994 SERIAL NUMBER OF LOCOMOTIVE. Ex BR class 28 D5701 allocated to Derby in August 1958 and withdrawn from there in September 1968 and scrapped the following year at J. Cashm ores Great Bridge. Rectangular stainless steel measuring 5in x 1.75in, these worksplates were fitted inside the cab and the makers plates with no works numbers were fitted outside, a rare item from a small class of 20, together with a Crossley Brothers Ltd brass Engine number plate of the same locomotive.
Carriage Print ST MONANCE, FIFE by James McIntosh Patrick from the LNER Post-War series around 1948. In original type glazed frame, print measures 20in x 10in and is excellent condition.

Original oil painting on canvas 1004 COUNTY OF SOMERSET by Don Breckon featuring the locomotive that was built in 1947 in its Great Western livery. Painting measures 15.5in x 11.5in and is nicely framed. On the rear is an original postcard signed by the artist detailing the painting and also its original Barbican Gallery Plymouth label numbered 1121. In excellent condition.
Shedplate 34G Finsbury Park 1960-1973 with a sub-shed of Hornsey 1961-1971. This could have been carried one of the Deltics that were allocated there as there is blue paint underneath the black. In nice original condition.

Diesel cabside numberplate D1018 ex Western Class 52 Diesel Hydraulic named Western Buccaneer built at Swindon in 1963 and delivered new to 81A Old Oak Common. Withdrawn in June 1973 from Laira and scrapped the following year at Swindon. In restored condition with new screws for the beading and numbers. Together with a cast brass bogie plate 1000/38 from the same locomotive.
Diesel worksplate HUDSWELL CLARKE & CO LTD RAILWAY FOUNDRY LEEDS ENGLAND No D810 1953 ex Experimental 0-6-0 Diesel Hi-Dyne locomotive named Enterprise. It worked at various collieries and was sold to the South Eastern Steam Centre in October 1972 . Sadly it was scrapped in 1992 at Booths Scrapyard Rotherham. Oval engraved brass in as removed condition measures 12.75in x 8in. We sold the other side in our July auction. A historic plate.
Nameplate DITCHEAT MANOR ex Collett GWR/BR-W Manor 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1950 and numbered 7821. Allocations included Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Tyseley, Newton Abbot, Croes Newydd, Machynlleth, Oxley and withdrawn from 84G Shrewsbury in October 1965. Named after a manor house near Shepton Mallet, the loco after being withdrawn was saved from Barry Scrapyard and restored. It is now owned by the West Somerset Railway Association. In nicely cleaned condition and stamped L7821 in the back indicating this was the left hand plate.
Stockton & Darlington Railway Ivory Directors Ticket No7. An item of significant historical importance, measures 1.25in diameter and has a crack running through the centre. Note this is not the reproduction item offered in 1975 for the 150th anni verasry but in fact the original see the extra image for comparison.
Bristol & Exeter Railway and Branches Ivory Free Pass for Mr M.W.Thompson Director Midland Railway Company. An item of significant historical importance, measures 1.125in diameter and is in very good condition.

Worksplate HUDSWELL CLARKE & CO LTD LEEDS BUILT BY ROBERT STEPHENSON & HAWTHORNS LTD DARLINGTON No1830 1952 ex GWR/BR-W 0-6-0PT 8483. Sheds included Danygraig and Swansea East Dock, withdrawn in 1962 and cut up at Swindon Works the same year. Oval cast brass, a rare worksplate.

Weston Clevedon & Portishead Railway fully titled cast iron Poster Board Heading measuring 12in x 2.5in. Has been cleaned ready to restore. A rare item from one of the Colonel Stephens Railways.
Great Western Railway 6.5in dial bracket railway clock. The Mahogany arched top case has a rear door, glazed front and sides and its original cast brass bezel, the GWR ivorine numberplate 3342 is screwed onto the bottom of the case. The Lenzkirch goi ng barrel movement is in good clean condition and stamped 832120 which dates it to between 1885-90 the original silvered dial has wax filled numerals and Kay Worcester. Complete and in working condition with pendulum and key.
Smokebox numberplate 42816 ex LMS Hughes Crab 2-6-0 built at Horwich in 1929 and originally numbered 13116, then 2816. Allocated to Stourton, Saltley and 9G Gorton from where it was withdrawn in October 1964. Scrapped the following year at Wards Shef field. In lightly cleaned original condition.

GWR brass lever leads a pair. 1 FROM STRATFORD on AVON DETONATORS OFF ON and 2 TO STRATFORD on AVON DETONATORS OFF ON. From Honeybourne signal box. Both in excellent condition and measure 5in x 3in. GWR named detonator lever plates are very rare and this is the first pair we have sold in 25 years of auctions.
Worksplate THE HUNSLET ENGINE CO LTD LEEDS 400HP No 7410 1976 ex 0-6-0 DM. It saw extensive use within the National Coal Board in Yorkshire, Durham, Leicestershire and Derbyshire and was sold for scrap to C. F. Booth Rotherham in 1965. It was then pu rchased by RMS Locotec for use as a hire locomotive. Oval cast brass measuring 11.25in x 8in. Face lightly cleaned. Comes complete with photos and fact sheet of this well travelled loco compiled by the vendor.
British Railways Midland Region illuminated station sign front panel WEST END LANE with British Railways totem at the top. Cast aluminium frame stamped Gowshall Limited with perspex panel. An unusual type of sign not seen previously before. West End Lane was a former London & North Western Railway and North London Railway station between Kentish Town and Willesden Junction. Measures 32in x 19in and is in very good ex railway condition.
LNER 9x5 tenderplate LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY DARLINGTON WORKS 1944 7296 ex Thompson B1 4-6-0 61009 Hartebeeste. Oval cast brass measuring 9in x 5in and is face restored. Comes complete with photos and a fact sheet compiled by the vendor.
Nameplate GREAT GABLE ex British Railways Class 60 numbered 60006 built by Brush Traction Loughborough in 1990 and named on delivery. Nameplates removed in June 1997 and renamed Scunthorpe Ironmaster. Withdrawn in September 2010. Rectangular cast alu minium measures 45.5in x 10in and is in as removed condition.

Allocated to 88A Cardiff Cathays from where it was withdrawn in Novem ber 1952 and scrapped. Oval cast brass measuring 6in x 4in. Face restored.

Nameplate JELLICOE ex 0-4-0 ST W7 built by Peckett as works number 1979 in 1939. Spent all of its working life at The Royal Arsenal Woolwich and was sent to Cashmores in August 1959 for scrapping. Rectangular cast brass measuring 35in x 5.25in. Light ly face restored.
Totem BR(M) FF face mounted BLACKROD from the former Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway station between Adlington and Bolton. In good condition with slight loss of shine and complete with original wooden mounting battens.
Smokebox numberplate 32104 ex LBSCR Billington E2 0-6-0 T built at Brighton in 1914 and originally numbered LBSCR 104 and SR 2104. Allocations included Stewarts Lane, Bricklayers Arms, Norwood Junction, Eastleigh and 71I Southampton Docks from where it was withdrawn in April 1963. Scrapped later the same year at Eastleigh Works. In lightly cleaned condition. Comes complete with its BR(S) Engine record card.
GWR brass cabside numberplate 4253 ex Churchward 2-8-0 T built at Swindon in 1917. Allocated to 86B Newport Pill from where it was withdrawn in April 1963 and sent to Woodham Bros Barry. It is now undergoing restoration at the Kent & East Sussex Railway. Face restored with boiler and engine class details stamped into the rim.
Great Western Railway mahogany cased drop dial 14 inch fusee clock lettered on the dial G.W.R with. With a large rectangular plated English fusee movement stamped on the backplate 9943 in cleaned condition and with its original steel pendulum rod. T he Mahogany case has a one piece turned surround with the bezel lock removed, one side door and a bottom door secured with a lock, the GWR ivorine clock numberplate GWR 1054 is screwed to the front. The characteristic of this clock point to it being supplied to the GWR by John Walker of London. In working condition complete with pendulum and key. Circa 1870.

Rectangular chromed brass measures 10in x 4.5in. In as removed condition.
