Shedplate 18A Toton a rare example of a LMS shedplate which were used from 1935. With two inner holes that were used to match up with the earlier Midland railway hole centres on some locomotives, in lightly cleaned condition. See Lot 192 from our Jul y 2019 auction for comparison ref the holes.

British Railways presentation model of Class 45 D1 SCAFFELL PIKE. Cast in resin and with plaque attached 2500 H.P. Type 1-CO-CO-1 DIESEL ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVE D1 SCAFFELL PIKE BUILT AT DERBY 1959. Measures 16in long and is in excellent condition. The m odel was presented to Barbara Castle MP Minister Of Transport during a visit to the BR Technical Centre at Derby on 31st March 1967 and a copy of a photograph showing the presentation accompanies the Lot.

Single line miniature staff PALLAS - DROMKEEN from the former Great Southern Railway line between Limerick to Limerick Junction. In good condition measures 9.5in long.
Carriage Print LINCOLN from an original water colour by Henry Rushbury R.A. from the LNER original Pre War series issued 1937-1939. The print has its original mount and is in excellent condition and was a file copy, in an original type frame, print m easures 20in x 10in.

British Railways headboard ANGLO-SCOTTISH CAR CARRIER. Cast aluminium with bracket on the back and marked RETURN TO DMPS KING'S +. This is the early version used on the steam hauled service from 1960-1962 from King's Cross to Edinburgh, usually Pacif ic hauled.

Nameplate THE WELCH REGIMENT ex LMS Royal Scot 4-6-0 built by The North British Locomotive Company Glasgow in 1927 and originally numbered 6139 and 46139 in 1948. Allocations included Camden, Kentish Town and 26A Newton Heath from where it was withdr awn in October 1962. Scrapped the following year at Crewe Works. Face restored and one dot punch to rear indicating this is the left hand plate.
Shedplate 87A Neath 1950-1965 with sub sheds Glyn Neath to 1964 and Neath Bridge Street to 1964. In nice original condition with clear Swindon casting marks to rear and edge.
Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway mahogany cased Platform Bell, brass plated PLATFORM BELL and branded LYR 818 on the front and LYR on the back. A lovely small signalling item in very good condition, measures 7in x 4in.
GWR cast iron sign GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THIS IS A PRIVATE ROAD. Measures 25in x 16in and is in lightly restored condition.
London Brighton and South Coast Railway teak cased 18 inch dial weight driven regulator railway clock supplied to the LBSCR in 1889 at a cost of 11-0-0d by Grimshaw Baxter & Elliott Ltd of London. The original dial has been repainted by John Walk er post 1948 style and is numbered 309B the case is also stamped 309B, the large brass rectangular plated movement has four spoke wheels, deadbeat escapement, Harrison's maintaining power, metal pendulum rod, weight, weight pulley and key complete but untested. in mainly original ex station condition stands 82in tall x 23in wide. The Southern railway clock records show it spent its entire railway working life at Queen's Road (Peckham) Platform.
Smokebox numberplate 60902 ex LNER Gresley V2 2-6-2 built at Darlington in 1940. Allocations included Copley Hill, King's Cross, Ardsley, New England and 36A Doncaster from where it was withdrawn in September 1963. Scrapped later the same year at Don caster Works. Face cleaned and rear with normal casting details.
BR(M) FF enamel sign TICKET OFFICE AND WAITING ROOM. In very good condition with a few minor edge chips. Measures 30in x 18in.
LNER cast iron door plate STATION MASTER. In nicely restored condition ex Craigellachie marked on the back. Measures 14.75in x 4.5in.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 93 ex Rhymney Railway Riches S Class 0-6-0 T built by Hudswell Clarke as works number 847 in 1908. Originally numbered RR 112 then GWR 609 and lastly GWR 94. Allocated to 88B Cardiff East Dock from where it was withd rawn in May 1954 and scrapped. Face restored with Barry painted on the back.
Nameplate CWMBRAN and plaque ex British Railways Class 37 Diesel built by English Electric in 1965 and numbered D6965, then 37265 in 1973 and lastly 37430 in 1986. Named at Cwmbran Station in May 1986 by Geoffrey Inkin OBE. Withdrawn in December 2007 and scrapped the following year at EMR Kingsbury. Both plate and plaque are cast aluminium and in as removed condition.

Allocated to 55A Leeds Holbeck and withdrawn from 56G Bradford Hammerton St in October 1967. Scrapped the follow ing year at C. F. Booth Rotherham. Oval cast brass measures 8in x 5in. Face restored.
Worksplate HUDSWELL CLARKE & CO LTD RAILWAY FOUNDRY LEEDS No607 1903 ex 0-6-0 ST delivered new to Lloyds Ironstone Corby in 1903 and numbered 3 and named Pen Green. It remained there all its working life under the later ownership of Stewarts & ; Lloyds. Oval hand engraved brass in lightly cleaned condition. Measures 12.75in x 8in.

Stainless steel Intercity Swallow, right hand facing, as removed from Class 91 Electric locomotive 91021 and named Royal Armouries and Archbishop Thomas Cranmer. Measures 24.5in long and is in excellent condition complete with tail tips.
Diesel Worksplate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY LTD GLASGOW No 27930 1962 ex British Railways Class 22 numbered D6357 and initially allocated to 82A Bristol Bath Road. Withdrawn from 81A Old Oak Common in December 1968 and scrapped six months late r at Cashmores Newport. Diamond shaped cast aluminium front repainted, rear in as removed condition. Last of the class and one of the last locos NBL produced, the year being engraved in a raised pad.
Nameplate TAFF MERTHYR ex Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0 ST built as works number 1498 and delivered to Taff Merthyr Steam Coal Co Ltd at Treharris Sidings and painted Midland red. Rectangular cast brass, face restored. NOTE this is the other side to the one we sold in our March 2019 auction.

Shedplate 82C Swindon 1950-1973 with sub sheds Andover Junction to 1952, Chippenham to 1964, Malmesbury to 1951 and Marlborough to 1961. Face restored with clear Swindon casting and machining marks to edge and rear.
Garstang & Knot End Railway cast iron TRESPASS SIGN dated December 1899. A Grade 1 cast iron sign that hasn't appeared for sale or publicly before and the most significant cast iron find of this century. The sign was acquired by the vendor in the 1960's and was from Cogie Hill Halt which was on the section between Pilling and Garstang Town which closed in July 1963. Nicely restored measures 24in x 15in.
BR(M) station sign ALIGHT HERE FOR WOBURN ABBEY from Leighton Buzzard station. These were fitted beneath the running in boards at this former London and North Western Railway station between Bletchley and Watford. In two pieces mounted measuring 107i n x 7in and 98in x 7in. In good condition with a few small chips.
Worksplate ROBERT STEPHENSON & Co LTD DARLINGTON 1918 WD No 3734 CONT23P/201/C238 Robinson 2-8-0 ROD 1650 sent to France In December 1918, returned Nov 1919, loaned to the GWR as their 3049 until Jan 1922 then stored at Beachley. Sold to the LNER in December 1923 and numbered 6319 and later 3706, Rebuilt to class 04/7 in May 1940, numbered 1948 63706 and rebuilt to class 04/8 Nov 1956. Allocations included Gorton, Mexborough, Immingham, Woodford Halse, Annesley, Staveley (G.C.), Colwick and 41J Langwith Junction from where it was withdrawn in September 1965 and scrapped at Arnott Young (Parkgate). Lozenge shaped engraved brass measures 11.5in x 5.25in in as removed condition.
London and South Western Railway 8 inch Mahogany cased iron dial fusee clock with a cast brass bezel supplied to the LSWR circa 1870 by John Gaydon of Barnstaple. The English fusee movement with rectangular plates held together by turned tapered pill ars has been recently overhauled and the white enamel painted dial lettered BR(S) John Walker 1 South Molton St London 5SW is in original condition complete with very unusual blued steel shaped spade hands which are also original to the clock. The Mahogany case is in original condition and stamped in the back 5SW. The Southern Railway clock records show that it was last in use at Barnstaple Junction B Box (West Signal Box). Complete and in working condition with pendulum and key. This is the only LSWR clock supplied by Gaydon of this type so far to surface and is of significant importance.

Nameplate DARING ex BR Class 42 Warship class No D811. New from Swindon Works to Laira in October 1959, withdrawn from Newton Abbot in January 1972 and cut up at Swindon Works in October 1972. Cast aluminium face restored over original paint and back lightly cleaned.
