Smokebox numberplate 9793 ex Collett 0-6-0 PT built at Swindon in 1936. Allocated to Tyseley and 84J Croes Newydd from where it was withdrawn in August 1963. Scrapped later the same year at Swindon Works. Face restored.

Original oil painting on canvas by Barry Price of Coronation 4-6-2 46245 CITY OF LONDON ON THE CALEDONIAN passing Greskine signal box in the winter. Painting measures 23.5in x 18in and is nicely framed and in excellent condition.

Great Western Railway 12 inch mahogany cased drop dial trunk fusee railway clock with a large rectangular plated chain driven fusee movement which at some time also drove a slave dial. The case has a four piece wooden surround, two side access doors that have been replaced and a bottom door with a lock, the GWR ivorine clock numberplate GWR 29 is screwed to the left hand side. The original dial has GWR in the roundel style and has had some light restoration. A nice example in restored working condition complete with pendulum and key circa 1880, two labels inside read restored by G.H. Tucker Dawlish 1976 and From Bodmin Rd Station Cornwall.

GWR machine engraved brass shelfplate FROM BISHOPS CLEEVE. In very good condition with original wax infill. Measures 4.75in x 1.5in.

GWR cast iron cabside numberplate GWR 35 ex Rhymney Railway 0-6-2 T built by Hudswell Clarke in 1921 as works number 1431 and originally numbered R.R.39. Allocated to Cardiff Cathays and 88B Cardiff East Dock from where it was withdrawn in November 1 956 and scrapped. In restored condition.

GWR silverplate Soup Ladle marked with GWR Twin Shield Coat Of Arms and GREAT WESTERN ROYAL HOTEL. Made by Elkington & Co and date coded 1860. In excellent condition and a rare early survivor.

London Transport Underground enamel target/bullseye sign GRANGE HILL measuring 60in x 40.5in. Mounted on MDF for display. One for the Grange Hill television programme enthusiasts.

Worksplate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY LTD GLASGOW No 25363 1944 ex Riddles WD 2-8-0 originally numbered WD 78602 and later BR 90395. Allocations included Royston, Normanton, Wakefield, York and 52G Sunderland from where it was withdrawn in Nove mber 1966. Scrapped the following year at Drapers Hull. Diamond shaped cast brass, in as removed condition, measures 13.5in x 5.5in.

GWR cast iron bench Seat Ends a pair. Early script type with cut outs to the back supports. Ex Ruislip station and both in good solid original condition.

Totem BR(S) HF LEWISHAM from the former South Eastern & Chatham Railway junction station between New Cross and Blackheath. The Half flanged version is very rare and only a couple are known to survive. In Very good condition with minor edge chippi ng.

Nameplate LEIF ERIKSON ex Virgin super voyager numbered 221139 built by Bombardier in Bruges Belgium in 2002. Cast aluminium in as removed condition, measures 30.75in x 17.5in. Named after the Norse explorer from Iceland who was the first known Europ ean to have set foot on continental North America.

Carriage print RED DEVON by Adrian Allinson from the Southern Railway Series. In very good condition, not framed, measures 17.5in x 9.75in.

BR(M) enamel station running-in board SEATON from the former London & North Western Railway station between Market Harborough and Peterborough. In very good condition measures 64in x 16in.

McKenzie & Holland large umbrella type signal finial complete with its zinc spike. Measures 46in tall and is in very good condition. Has a label EX WYCOMBE JUNCTION ON THE GN + LNW JOINT.

Zimbabwe Railways cast aluminium cabside numberplate NATIONAL RAILWAYS OF ZIMBABWE DE2 1206 ex Diesel Electric built by General Electric Dick Kerr Works in 1955. Oval cast aluminium measures 18.25in x 12.5in. In as removed condition.

Midland & Great Northern Railway 10 inch oak cased going barrel railway clock, supplied to the M&GN by Aldred & Sons of Great Yarmouth circa 1910 and manufactured by Winterhalder & Hofmeier of Schwarzenbach Germany. The original dial displays BR(E) 11492 and Gt Yarmouth ghosted at the bottom, the case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass turn. In working order complete with pendulum and key. The LNER clock records show this clock as last used at Gayton Road Station Cabin.

Brass Cabside plate KPEV (Koniglich Preubische Eisenbahn-Verwaltung) Prussian State Railways depicting the Imperial Eagle. Measures 250mm diameter and has the correct recessed back has been cleaned. Note this is different to the other one offered in this sale and this version was originally chromed.

Smokebox numberplate 44039 ex Fowler 4F 0-6-0 built at Derby in 1925. Allocations included Nottingham, Sheffield, Manningham, Sowerby Bridge and 56A Wakefield from where it was withdrawn in June 1964 and scrapped later the same year. Lightly face cle aned.

Worksplate AVONSIDE ENGINE CO BRISTOL 1421 1900 ex 0-6-0 ST originally built for and delivered to the Burry Port & Gwendraeth Valley Railway and named Pontyberem and numbered 2. The locomotive was sold in 1914 to Llewelyn (Nixon) Ltd, later Moun tain Ash Colliery, and numbered 11 in 1962. It was transferred to Penrikyber Colliery and was withdrawn around 1970 and is now preserved at Didcot.

GWR mahogany cased signal box Home Signal Indicator brass plated 39 and case stamped GWR MAKERS PADD. In very good condition.

Tenderplate BR1C 1172 1956 ex BR Riddles STD Class 9F 2-10-0 92083. Allocated to Wellingborough, Annesley, Kettering and 8H Birkenhead Mollington Street from where it was withdrawn in February 1967. Scrapped later the same year at Drapers Hull. Recta ngular cast iron measuring 8in x 5.75in. Face restored.

GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 6136 ex Collett 2-6-2 T built at Swindon in 1932. Allocations included Slough, Didcot and 81F Oxford from where it was withdrawn in December 1965. Scrapped the following year at Cashmores Newport. Nicely face restore d.

Worksplate BUILT HORWICH 1958 ex BR Diesel 08 originally numbered D3599 and later 08484 and named Captain Nathaniel Darell. Oval cast iron measuring 10.25in x 6in. In as removed condition.

Shedplate 87A Neath Court Sart 1950-1965 with sub sheds Glyn Neath and Neath Bridge Street to 1964. In restored condition with clear Swindon casting marks to rear and edge.

Worksplate R & W HAWTHORN, LESLIE & CO LTD ENGINEERS NEWCASTLE-ON-TYNE 3406 - 1920 ex Taff Vale Railway Cameron A Class 0-6-2 T originally numbered TVR 405 and then GWR 391. Allocated to 88A Cardiff Cathays from where it was withdrawn in Sept ember 1956 and scrapped. Oval cast brass measuring 6in x 4in. Face restored.

Nameplate VENUS ex 0-4-0ST built by Hawthorn Leslie in 1918 as works number 3336. Spent all of its working life at Vickers-Armstrong Ltd Barrow, scrapped at T.W Ward Barrow in September 1962. In as removed condition measures 25.5in x 5in.

South African Railways brass cabside numberplate 3512 25NC ex 4-8-4 built by the North British Locomotive Company Glasgow in 1953 as works number 27372. Face restored.

Peckett steam Locomotive Whistle measuring 7in x 3in diameter. In nicely cleaned condition.

GWR 3 Aspect Copper Top handlamp stamped on the side GWR SWINDON S.B. and brass plated 1543. Complete with all interior glasses, GWR marked burner and reservoir and GWR etched front lens. In nicely restored condition.

Allocations included Redhill and 75F Tunbridge Wells West from where it was withdrawn in June 1959. Scrapped later the same y ear at Ashford Works. Oval cast brass measuring 6.5in x 4in. Face lightly polished, rear stamped R 517.
