London Transport Underground enamel target/bullseye sign LEICESTER SQUARE with original bronze frame. In very good condition with a couple of light scratches, measures 24in x 19in mounted on board for display.
Original oil painting on canvas INTO THE LIGHT by Don Breckon. The painting features GWR Castle 4-6-0 5015 Kingswear Castle heading out of Greenway tunnel on a London to Torquay express. Painting measures 32in x 23in and signed and date 1974 it is fr amed in a gilded frame. In excellent condition.
LMS signal box board KIMBOLTON from the former Midland Railway signal box between Huntingdon and Thrapston. Wood with cast iron letters, measures 67.5in x 10in. In very good condition.
Shedplate 55A Leeds Holbeck 1957-1973 with a sub shed of Stourton. Restored a long time ago.
British Railways Electric Class 86 cabside numbers E3173 which was later 86204 and named City of Carlisle. In as removed condition, mounted on a board 25.5in x 8.5in.
Totem BR(S) HF BLACKHEATH from the former South Eastern & Chatham Railway station between New Cross and Woolwich. Totems at this station were only used on the platform extensions as Targets remained on the original platforms and are not common. I n very good as removed condition.
BR(NE) FF enamel railway sign STATION MASTER measuring 24in x 18in. In very good condition with minor chipping.
Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD LONDON THE VULCAN FOUNDRY LTD LOCOMOTIVE WORKS ENGLAND No 2784/D499 1960 ex BR Class 40 originally numbered D262 then 40062. Allocated new to 64B Haymarket and withdrawn from KD Carlisle Kingmoor in Novembe r 1981. Scrapped at BREL Swindon two years later. Rectangular chromed brass measuring 10.25in x 4.5in. In very good condition.

Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO LTD VULCAN WORKS NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS ENGLAND No 3034/ D696 1962 ex BR Class 37 originally numbered D6742 then 37042 in 1974. Allocated new to 41A Darnall and last recorded allocated to FMGM - Railfreight (Steel) Mothe rwell Locos. Rectangular chromed brass measures 10.25in x 4.5in in as removed condition. Now preserved at the Eden Valley Railway, Warcop.
Carriage print BYLAND ABBEY, YORKSHIRE by E.W. Haslehurst. A rare print from the LNER Pre War Series. In good condition in an original type frame, print measures 20in x 10in.
Nameplate HOLKER HALL ex GWR Collett Hall 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1941 and numbered 6911. Allocated to Penzance, St Blazey and 84C Banbury from where it was withdrawn in May 1965. Scrapped later the same year at Birds Long Marston. In lightly clean ed condition and stamped 6911R in the back indicating this is the right hand plate.

Original oil painting on canvas study for HOLKER HALL by Don Breckon depicting GWR Hall 4-6-0 6911 Holker Hall working on the main line in Cornwall. Complete with a signed card in the back of the frame canvas measures 10in x 8in and is nicely framed. In excellent condition and comes with a signed copy of The Railway Paintings of Don Breckon issued in 1982. Note we are also offering the nameplate and cabside numberplate for this locomotive in this auction.

Allocated to Stockton, Newport (Teeside), Darlington, Blyth and 52G Sunderland from where it was withdrawn in July 1967. Scrapped later the same year at Hughes Bolckow Blyth. Oval cast iron measuring 9in x 5in with brass renumbering strip.
Shedplate 67B Hurlford 1950-1966 with sub sheds of Beith and Muirkirk to 1964. Face restored, rear original.

GWR cast iron sign G.W.R. ECONOMY MUST BE EXERCISED AND WATER NOT ALLOWED TO RUN TO WASTE. BY ORDER. Measures 8.5in x 4.25in and is in good restored condition. A rare sign that was fitted to the early GWR water columns and most suffer from bad corros ion.

LMS station direction sign LMS STATION QUEENSFERRY. Double sided and complete with its original cast aluminium frame. Measures 26.5in x 13.5in. Both sides are in excellent condition. From the former London and North Western Railway station between Ch ester and Rhyl.
GWR brass cabside numberplate 6017 ex Collett King 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1928 and named King Edward IV. Allocated to Old Oak Common. Laira and 84A Stafford Road from where it was withdrawn in July 1962. Scrapped the following year at Cox & Da nks Oldbury. Partially face restored.
LB&SCR Sykes brass cased Distant Signal Indicator. In good condition with some paint loss to the dial. Measures 3.5in diameter x 2.5in deep.

Worksplate HUDSWELL, CLARKE & CO LTD RAILWAY FOUNDRY LEEDS No924 1910 ex Burry Port & Gwendraeth Valley Railway 0-6-0 T originally numbered BPGVR 10 then GWR 2198. Based at 87F Llanelly all its working life and withdrawn in March 1959 and scr apped. Oval engraved brass measuring 13in x 8in. Face lightly cleaned.
Smokebox numberplate 30475 ex Urie H15 4-6-0 built at Eastleigh Works in 1924 and originally numbered SR 475. Allocated to Salisbury and 71A Eastleigh from where it was withdrawn in December 1961. Scrapped the following year at Eastleigh Works. In ba sically original condition with a later central weld. A rare Class and only the second to appear at auction.
Stainless steel Intercity Swallow, right hand facing, as removed from Class 91 Electric locomotive 91011 named Terence Cuneo. Measures 24.5in long and is in excellent condition complete with tail tips.
LB&SCR 10 inch Mahogany cased fusee dial clock with a cast brass bezel, manufactured for the London Brighton and South Coast Railway circa 1889 by Grimshaw, Baxter & Elliott Ltd. The chain driven English fusee movement in fully overhauled con dition is of typical London style and has rectangular plates, the white enamel hand painted dial displays the legend, B.R.(S). John Walker 1, South Molton St London 796.B. and the rear of the case has been stamped 796 B. The Southern clock records show that this clock was originally supplied to Tulse Hill, Knights Hill Signal Box and was later transferred to Peckham Rye. In fully working condition complete with pendulum and keys.
Carriage Print THE RHINE via HARWICH from an original etching by Frank H Mason R.I. from the LNER original etching series issued in 1936. The print has its original mount and is in excellent condition and was a file copy, in an original type frame, p rint measures 20in x 10in.
Diesel worksplate THE HUNSLET ENGINE CO LTD LEEDS 175HP No HE 9163 1987. Ex 20 tonne 900mm gauge battery rack adhesion 0-4-0 locomotive running number RA2. Delivered to the Channel Tunnel group and used during the construction of the tunnel. Oval cas t brass in as removed condition measuring 11.5in x 8in.Together with a cast brass Hunslet radiator plate from one of these locomotives. A plate from one of the locomotives that worked on the most significant engineering feet of the 20th Century.
Shedplate 88C Barry 1950-1964. Face restored with clear Swindon casting marks to rear and edge.

Nameplate RATCLIFFE POWER STATION from the BR Class 58 Diesel built by BREL Doncaster in 1986 and numbered 58041. Named in September 1986 by Mr Gil Blackman Deputy Chairman of GEGB. This nameplate was removed in 1996 when replaced with a similar plat e with the Powergen logo after privatisation of the company. Cast aluminium measures 51.5in x 17.75in. In very good condition.
BR(W) enamel poster board heading BRITISH RAILWAYS measuring 27in x 4in. In very good condition with a couple of small chips on the corners.
BR wooden carriage board BIRMINGHAM SNOW HILL - HENLEY-IN-ARDEN. Measures 32in x 3.25in and is in very good condition with some restoration to one end and complete with metal ends.
GWR cast iron LIONS HEAD as fitted to some of the early GWR standard buildings at each end where the steel girders projected through the valancing. Examples were Kidlington, Heyford and Aynho stations. Nicely restored, measures 16in x 24in.
British Railways Southern region tri note chime locomotive whistle ex Riddles STD Class 7 4-6-2 Britannia or STD Class 5 4-6-0. Stamped BR a ym3. Stands 15in tall and is in ex stores condition as acquired from Eastleigh works.

Original artwork study for British Railways Eastern Region, Early Morning on the Blackwater by Henry Denham . Watercolour on card and presented on a card mount. Art work measures 11.25in x 8.75in and is in excellent condition. This was a study by the artist whilst undertaking the Maldon carriage print artwork.

In totally original condition measures 37.5in x 43.5in. Ex Bristol Barrow Road locomotive shed and photograph in situ accompanies the lot. NOTE due to the size and weight (2 man lift) this sign will not be on view at the auction and will have to be collected by the successful purchaser from our Evesham office and will be available from 6.30pm on the day of the auction.

GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 5193 ex Collett 2-6-2 T built at Swindon in 1934. Allocated to Stourbridge Junction, Truro, St Blazey, Laira and 87H Neyland from where it was withdrawn in June 1962 and sold to Woodham Bros Barry. The locomotive was saved and now has been rebuilt as a 2-6-0 number 9351 which can be found on the West Somerset Railway. In very good condition.
Great Northern Railway 3 Aspect double pie crust large pattern Handlamp stamped in the reducing cone GNR A 6 96 (denotes June 1896) 14589 and stamped in the side GNR 14589. Brass plated LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY SPALDING. Complete with origi nal GNR rape oil reservoir also stamped 14589 and all glasses. In nicely restored condition and nice to have 3 sets of matching numbers.
