ECR Middleton Eastern Counties Railway sealing Wax Stamp E.C.R. MIDDLETON. Brass with turned fruit wood handle. Measures 3.5in long and is in excellent condition. Middleton was on the King's Lynn Swafham Line which closed in 1968.

Allocated to Newton Heath, Saltley, Trafford Park, Derby, Burton, Coalville, Patricroft, Stockport Edgeley, Bolton and 10D Lostock Hall from where it was withdrawn in September 1968. Scrapped the following year at Cashmores Great Bridge. In face restored condition.

GWR Compton Castle ex 5099, 5072, 5047 Nameplate COMPTON CASTLE ex GWR Collett Castle 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1936 numbered 5047 and named Compton Castle after the famous building near Torquay, 5047 was renamed Earl of Dartmouth in 1937 and name tr ansfered to new build Castle 5072 in June 1938 which subsequently was re named Hurricane, name transfered again to new build Castle 5099 in May 1946. 5099 was allocated to Old Oak Common, Cardiff Canton, Bristol Bath Road, Worcester and 85B Gloucester Horton Road from where it was withdrawn in February 1963 and scrapped later the same year at R.A.Kings Norwich. In lightly cleaned original condition with RIN No5047 LOT 303 stamped in the back indicating this is the right hand plate. Together with an original letter offering the plate for £1 + carriage.

LNER Lea Bridge LNER cast iron seat back LEA BRIDGE from the former Great Eastern Railway station between Stratford and Tottenham. In original condition measuring 32in long. The first time one has appeared at auction.
British Railways Eastern Region 6 inch mahogany cased drum clock. The original dial shows the makers name SMITHS and BR.E 13258. The mahogany drum case retains its original cast brass bezel and is also stamped on the back BR.E 13258.The Smiths 7 day going barrel movement with platform escapement is in good working condition. The LNER clock records show this clock as last being in use at Norwich in the District Engineers Saloon. Comes complete with key. Measures 8.5in diameter x 4in deep.

GWR 389 ex TVR 403 GWR cast iron cabside numberplate GWR 389 ex Taff Vale Railway Cameron A Class 0-6-2 T built by Hawthorn Leslie as works number 3404 in 1920 and originally numbered TVR 403 and later GWR 389. Allocated to Barry and 88B Cardiff East Dock from where it was withdrawn in January 1956 and scrapped. Face restored with TV 403 stamped in the rim, rear original. NOTE we are also selling in this auction the worksplate from this locomotive.

Named by Norman Lloyd Edwards, Mayor of Cardiff, on the 6th July 1985 at Cardiff Central Station as part of the GWR 150th celebrations. Renumbered to 47671 in August 1991 and nameplates retained until removed in February 1993. Scrapped at EMR Kingsbury in May 2007. Rectangular cast aluminium, face restored, measures 59in x 17.5in.

Lightly face cleaned. 76057 was the last of the Class 76 locomotives.

Scrapped two months later at Swindon. Partially face restored, with boiler and Class stampings in the rim, rear original.

Allocated to Treherbert and 86C Cardiff Canton from where it was withdrawn in August 1952 and scrapped. Face restored, rear original with Caerphilly painted on.
GWR Bench Ends Boulton & Paul x 2 A pair of Great Western Railway cast iron seat ends with GWR cast into each end in a block font scroll, makers name cast into the bottom Boulton & Paul Ltd Norwich. This pattern is extremely rare and was only used on a few stations, these are the first we have offered for auction in 25 years of trading and believe there are two other sets known to exist. Both are in excellent condition.
GWR Carriage Panel from the GWR QUEEN VICTORIAS DIAMOND JUBILEE ROYAL TRAIN featuring views of COCKINGTON CHURCH, TORQUAY & APPROACH TO BABBACOMBE, TORQUAY. The carriage, built in 1897 by the GWR at Swindon, featured colour-tinted photographs by Photochrom. The panels came from coach 233 (now at Steam Museum, Swindon) and were superb and unique examples, constructed in sycamore and walnut hardwoods, with hand carved corner flutings and gilded surrounds. Each hand-painted title was recessed into the frame. In excellent original condition measures 22in x 11in.
Nameplate and badge 41 SQUADRON ex Southern Railway Bullied Battle Of Britain Class 4-6-2 built at Brighton in 1948 and numbered 34076. Allocated to Ramsgate, Exmouth Junction, Eastleigh and 70E Salisbury from where it was withdrawn in January 1966. Scrapped later the same year at Cashmores Newport. The nameplate has been face restored and the badge is in excellent condition. 41 Squadron operated Spitfires throughout the war and was located at Hornchurch for the Battle Of Britain.
