48134 Smokebox numberplate 48134 ex LMS Stanier 8F 2-8-0 built at Crewe in 1941 and numbered 8134. Renumbered by British Railways in 1950 to 48134. Allocated to Staveley, Willesden, Northampton and 6C Croes Newydd from where it was withdrawn in Janua ry 1966. Scrapped later the same year at Cashmores Great Bridge. Face restored.

SAR E1175 6E South African Railways dual language brass Cabside Numberplate E1175 6E. Ex Class 6E 3 ft 6 in Gauge Electric locomotive, one of 80 in the class that commenced service in 1970 and this was one of the locomotives that was painted Blue and used on the Blue train. In lightly face cleaned condition.

Oval cast iron measuring 10.5in x 6in. Face restored and has had an extra 2 holes drilled for mounting.

Rectangular cast brass measuring 11.25in x 4.75in. In as removed condition. A sheet accompanies the lot explaining all about this type of gearbox and application.

GWR 316 ex TVR 52/ GWR 440 GWR brass cabside numberplate 316 ex Taff Vale Railway Cameron A Class 0-6-2 T built by The North British Locomotive Company Glasgow in 1915 as works number 21158 and numbered TVR 52, then GWR 440 and lastly GWR 316 around 1946. Allocated to Rhymney, Merthyr Tydfil and 88E Abercynon from where it was withdrawn in July 1956 and scrapped. Face restored, rear original with Caerphilly painted on.

A pair of silver free passes issued to James Denis Tattersall (1914-1980): BRITISH TRANSPORT COMMISSION No 112 in very good condition and LONDON TRANSPORT EXECUTIVE No S98 in good condition but slightly worn on the front. D. Tattersall who joined the LNER in 1938 as an assistant solicitor fought in the second World War and was captured at Salonika and spent four years as a prisoner of war and in September 1945 resumed his position and was promoted in 1948 to become Assistant Regional Solicitor for the North Eastern region of British Railways and retired in the mid 1970's. Both measure 1.125in diameter.
LMS Irish Guardsman ex 46116 Nameplate IRISH GUARDSMAN ex LMS Fowler Royal Scot 4-6-0 built by The North British Locomotive Company Glasgow in 1927 and numbered LMS 6116 and later BR 46116. Allocated to Camden, Carlisle Upperby, Holyhead, Kentish Tow n, Crewe North and 8A Edge Hill from where it was withdrawn in September 1963 and scrapped later the same year. Curved cast brass, face restored, with two dot punch marks in the rear indicating this is the right hand plate.
