Brass makers crane plate TAYLOR & HUBBARD together with unknown loading plate 6 1/2 tons. TAYLOR & HUBARD Leicester were manufacturers of railway cranes which supplied cranes in UK and all over the world. The Company was taken over in 1960 by F.H Lloyd & Co and continued making diesel electric cranes for British Railways and others.

Brass makers plate. MARSHALL SONS & CO (SUCCESSORS) LTD No 88110 together with other name plate INVICTA. Marshall (successors) LTD was formed in 1936 after being reorganised. The Company originally built steam traction engines and road rollers in addition to other steam operated equipment during the late 1800s to the early 1900s. The site of the Gainsboro Britannia Iron works is now a Supermarket.

Cast Iron Works Plate. MOTOR RAIL & TRAMCAR Co LTD. WD 1917. Established about 1911 until 1931 when it became MOTOR RAIL LTD. The Company produced a number of portable narrow gauge petrol driven locos which played a vital part in WW1 moving munit ions to the front.

Brass Works Plate. STRACHAN & HENSHAW BRISTOL. An old Company who started out during the late 1800s who originally produced paper bag making machinery. Today after several buy-outs, the Company is owned by Babcock International Group and the Str achan & Henshaw name is no longer used. A lovely plate in original condition.

3 x Railway Guards Handlamps. GWR Porters single aspect lamp stamped GWR. 3 aspect GWR handlamp with brass oval number plate 21332 complete with GWR burner, all glasses. BR(W) 3 aspect handlamp complete with all glasses, maker's plate GA POLKEY LTD B IRMINGHAM and oval plate BR(W).

BR Loco head lamp. Complete with correct interior and flip over red shade. Excellent condition.

Cast Iron Shed Plate 30A. 1950 to 1973 STRATFORD. Restored front and back but a few years ago.

Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Crosby Steam Engine Indicator kit complete with springs and associated parts stored within it's original mahogany box. The kit consists of two indicators plus a third indicator separate as a spare unit. The instrume nts would be used to measure the steam efficiency within each loco cylinder and worked by bolting the indicator onto the end of the cylinder. Instruments such as these were exclusively used by the CME and the information would be used the improve loco efficiency and design. This particular unit was recovered from Derby Works by the Vendor's elderly Father who worked there. A scientific instrument not to be missed.

A Lot containing a collection of approximately 34 ARGO 7 inch singles within sleeves of recordings made of steam working in the 1950s. All appear in good condition. An old fashioned record player is required to play these recordings.
