GWR Carriage Panel from the GWR QUEEN VICTORIAS DIAMOND JUBILEE ROYAL TRAIN featuring views of THE CATHEDRAL WELLS, ROMAN BATHS. BATH. The carriage, built in 1897 by the GWR at Swindon, featured colour-tinted photographs by Photochrom. The panels cam e from coach 233 (now at Steam Museum, Swindon) and were superb and unique examples, constructed in sycamore and walnut hardwoods, with hand carved corner flutings and gilded surrounds. Each hand-painted title was recessed into the frame. In excellent original condition measures 22in x 11in.
