Virgin Trains class 220 Voyager shield. When first introduced all the shields were red backed but station staff complained they could not distinguish between a four car Voyager 220 and a five car Super Voyager 221 class so the shields on the class 22 0 Voyager were over painted silver on top of the red paint for the background area, hence could be recognised by staff as they arrived in a station. Cast aluminium measures 10.25in x 10in in as removed condition.
