Brass steam tri note chime whistle as fitted to Traction Engines or Steam Rollers. Fitted with operating pull chain type valve. Stands 13.5in tall and a whistle valve diameter of 3in. In lightly cleaned condition.
Single line staff BRANCH STAFF HALTWHISTLE - ALSTON. Steel with Annetts key on the end. Measures 8.25in long. A former North Eastern Railway line closed in 1976 and now home to the South Tynedale Railway.
Worksplate LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY DARLINGTON WORKS 1936 2473 ex Gresley K3 2-6-0 numbered LNER 2473, LNER 1970 and BR 61970. Allocated to Norwich Thorpe, Yarmouth South Town, Lowestoft, Colwick and 36A Doncaster from where it was withdraw n in November 1962. Scrapped the following year at Cox & Danks Wadsley Bridge. Oval cast brass, face restored, measures 9in x 5in.

Worksplate THE BRITISH THOMSON HOUSTON CO LTD RUGBY ENGLAND DIESEL ELECTRIC No 1109 1959 ex BR Class 15 numbered D8211. Allocated to 30A Stratford and withdrawn from there in March 1971 and scrapped later the same year at BREL Crewe. Oval cast brass measuring 11in x 6in. In face restored condition with TDN 3388 and B2528 stamped into the back.
Nameplate FLORENCE carried by ex BR class 08 0-6-0 diesel 08764 operated by RFS Engineering Ltd and numbered 003. Moved to RFS Doncaster 06/88 and resold 09/97 to the Port of Tilbury Freightliner Terminal. In between it worked at several industrial l ocations including ARC Machen Quarry, BREL York works, Flixborough Wharf, the Channel Tunnel, Sheerness Steel, Hartlepool Power Station and Tilbury Ports. Cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 39in x 13.75in.

Festiniog Railway cast iron signal lever ground frame cover plate, fully titled. In nice original condition measures 14.5in x 11in. Could be used as a letterbox quite easily.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplates a pair from 3770 ex Collett 0-6-0 PT built at Swindon in 1938. Allocated to Brecon, Oswestry and 84E Tyseley from where it was withdrawn in April 1965. Scrapped later the same year at Cohens Kingsbury. Both in orig inal condition and a rare chance to obtain both cabside numberplates from the same loco.
Furness Railway 3 Aspect Hand Lamp brass plated on both sides with 4 plates MESSENGERS PATENT CORRUGATED LAMP, F.R.C. No1, FURNESS RAILWAY COMPANY MANUFACTURED BY MESSENGER & SONS BIRMINGHAM, VICKERS GUN RANGE SIDINGS SIGNAL BOX. A superb pre gro uping example in nice original condition complete with all glasses (blue is cracked), reservoir and burner.
A Railway Signal Co. 13-lever demonstration scale model lever frame fully interlocked to represent the layout of a double line railway with trailing crossover and both up and down sidings. The frame accurately represents the final style of tappet fra me produced by the company at its Fazakerley works from the 1890s until the cessation of production. The model which is engraved with the company's name stands 19in tall, is complete with signal box diagram and is mounted on a wooden display board. It is thought to have been built around 1910.

This is the rarest of all the Great Western Railway jigsaws, issued only to staff in the Goods Departments, it is known to have been rejected by them as intimidating and many were simply confined to the fire! This one is in excellent condition and the box is extremely good.

Worksplate L&NER DONCASTER WORKS 3036 1909. Ex GNR class J22 0-6-0 later LNER Class J5, works number 1252. GNR running number 36, LNER 3036, 1946 renumber 5495 and lastly BR 65495. New to New England, then Colwick in 1930s and lastly 38C Leiceste r (G.C.) from where it was withdrawn in August 1954 and scrapped at Doncaster Works. Oval cast brass face cleaned, measures 9in x 5in.

LMS enamel station direction sign LMS STANMORE STATION. Double sided enamel in original aluminium frame. In excellent condition measures 21in x 14in.
BR(SC) FF running in board LADYBANK from the former North British Railway station between Thornton Junction and Perth. In good condition with slight loss of shine. Measures 108in x 24in.
Midland Railway enamel doorplate LADIES ROOM. In excellent condition with some well executed restoration to the edge and some face chips. Measures 23in x 3.75in.
Great Western Railway cast iron signal box board BREWHAM SIGNAL BOX. From the former box between Frome and Castle Cary. In as stored condition since removal with some corrosion to the B of Box, measures 66in x 8.75in.
Totem BR(NE) HF HARROGATE from the former Joint Railway station between Leeds and Ripon. In very good condition with a few well executed small face repairs.
LNER rear lorry lamp stamped in the front LNER and brass plated LONDON AND NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY BARTON ON HUMBER. Complete with LNER reservoir and LNER burner. Stands 8in tall and is in good condition with a few minor pinholes to the case.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 4626 ex Collett 0-6-0 PT built at Swindon in 1942. Allocated to Cardiff East Dock, Abercynon, Dover Marine and 72B Salisbury from where it was withdrawn in March 1964. Scrapped the following year at Swindon Works. In original condition. Note: This was one of the Pannier Tanks that worked the Folkestone Harbour Branch and was the longest serving Pannier Tanks on the Southern Region.
Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD THE VULCAN FOUNDRY Ltd LOCOMOTIVE WORKS ENGLAND No 2363/D391 1957 ex British Railways diesel Class 20 originally numbered and 20016 in 1974. Allocated new to 1D Devons Road and later stored at various locat ions and sold to DRS then Harry Needle. Recently sold privately and removed to the Caledonian Railway Brechin for preservation. Rectangular chromed cast brass measures 10in x 4.5in. Has been cleaned but still shows traces of BR blue paint, slight damage to left hand bottom corner.
Smokebox numberplate 61225. Ex LNER Thompson B1 4-6-0 built by the North British Locomotive Company Glasgow in 1947 and originally numbered LNER 1225. Allocated to Leicester (G.C), Gorton, Sheffield Darnall, Retford Thrumpton (G.C) and 36A Doncaster from where it was withdrawn from where it was withdrawn in June 1965. Scrapped later the same year at T.W. Ward Beighton. In original condition.

Lancashire and Yorkshire & London and North Western Joint Railway Bronze ships plaque, measuring 6in diameter. A rare survivor from one of the jointly owned and operated ships. In original condition with a nice patination.
Totem BR(W) HF BRECON from the former Neath & Brecon/Brecon & Merthyr station in central Wales, opened 1867 provided access to the Brecon and Merthyr, the Mid Wales, and the Hereford, Hay and Brecon Railways which were all completed about thi s time. A complex yet quite fascinating history. Closed in Oct 1962 to passengers. In very good displayable condition with some expertly executed restoration. Not a common and last at auction ten years ago.

Nameplate QUADRANT and Badge ex British Railways Electric Class 73 73105 named at Victoria Station on 4th November 1987 by Graham McVey, Chief Executive of Reed Business Publishing. Nameplates were removed in August 1989. Rectangular cast aluminium, nameplate measures 39.5in x 9.75in and the badge 17in x 15in. In as removed condition.

BR(M) advertising mirror LONDON MIDLAND MAIN LINES & CONNECTING LINES. Shows a map of the lines out of Euston, St Pancras and Marylebone all the way up to Carlisle. Thick bevelled mirror glass measuring 11in x 6in. In excellent condition with a m inor chip bottom right hand corner.
Furness Railway wall mounted station platform Oil Lamp from Dalton station. The lamp case is in very good condition and stands 38in tall including mounting frog. The reservoir, complete with glass, is steel plated FRC DALTON STATION. The cast iron wa ll mounting bracket has the Furness monogram cast into it and stands 32in out from the wall.

London Transport Underground stock destination enamels COLINDALE / ARCHWAY and WHITECHAPEL. Both are in very good condition and retain their original brass ends. They measure 24.5in x 4in.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplate GWR 357 ex Taff Vale Railway Cameron Class A 0-6-2 T built by the North British Locomotive Company in 1915 and numbered TVR 124. Renumbered by the GWR 357 at the Grouping. Allocations included Cardiff Canton and 88C Barry from where it was withdrawn in January 1956 and scrapped. In restored condition.
London Transport Underground one piece enamel target/bullseye sign SOUTH HARROW. In very good condition with a few small face chips, measures 44in x 36in.
A pair of Railway Signal Co. demonstration working scale model miniature electric staff instruments complete with bells and 30 staffs. The internal mechanisms, designed to work at 4.5 volts are created in miniature and have been tested as still in w orking order when connected together under power. Each stands approximately 11in tall and were built in around 1920 and are thought to be unique. The battery drawers are designed to take the now obsolete Ever Ready 1289 style of battery but could easily house an alternative battery pack.

Scrapped the following year at Cashmores Great Bridge. Diamond shaped cast brass in lightly cleaned condition. Measures 13.5in x 5.5in.

Named in May 1978 with the crest being applied in September 1988 at Paddington. Withdrawn in June 1990 and scrapped at Booth Roe Rotherham in 1992. Cast resin in as removed condition measures 20in x 17.5in, a rare chance to obtain a Class 50 crest.
