Worksplate BUILT BY BRITISH RAILWAYS DONCASTER 1959 POWER EQUIPMENT ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LIMITED ex British Railways Electric Class 71 locomotive in the number range E5001-E5013. All of this class were originally allocated to 73A Stewarts Lane. O val chromed cast brass measuring 10.5in x 6in. In very good condition.
Tyers No6 brass and steel single line tablet EGLOSKERRY - TRESMERE ex London & South Western Railway section on the North Cornwall line. Measures 4.5in diameter and stamped NOT IN USE on the face.
BR(NE) BEL FF enamel doorplate LADIES WAITING ROOM. In excellent condition with black edged letters, measures 18in x 6in and retains its original brass ferrules.
Nameplate PRUDENCE carried by ex BR class 08 0-6-0 diesel 08164 operated by RFS Engineering Ltd and numbered 002. Moved to RFS Doncaster 07/88 and used mostly for RFS site shunting duties before being resold into preservation 01/98 to the East Lancs Railway at Bury. Cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 39in x 13.75in.
BR enamel Totem Roundel FF BRISTOL TEMPLE MEADS from the former Great Western railway mainline station in the heart of Bristol. This type of sign was only used here and at Birmingham Snow Hill on the Western Region although standard Totems were also used at both locations. In excellent condition, measures 34in diameter. Only a couple of totems are known to have survived from this station.
LYR china SUGAR BOWL face marked with Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway full Coat Of Arms and also marked twice on the side CANE SUGAR FROM DEMERARA BRITISH GUIANA. A superb item in excellent condition with one small repair to the rim. Stands 4in ta ll.
GWR brass cabside numberplate 5921 ex Collett Hall class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1933 and named Bingley Hall. Allocated to Newport Pill, Neyland, Ebbw Junction, Banbury, Tyseley and 82D Westbury from where it was withdrawn in January 1962 and scrap ped later the same year at Swindon works. In original condition as stored since 1965.
Diesel Worksplate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY LTD GLASGOW No 27888 1959 ex British Railways Class 22 Diesel numbered D6315 and Allocated to 83D Plymouth Laira and withdrawn from 84A Plymouth Laira in May 1971 and scrapped the following year at B REL Swindon. Diamond shaped cast brass measures 12.75in x 5.5in. In as removed condition.

It spent all its working life at 70A Nine Elms and was withdrawn from there in June 1961. Scrapped the following month at Ea stleigh Works. Diamond shaped cast brass measures 13.5in x 5.5in. Face restored.

Allocated to York(North), Huddersfield, Bath Green Park (S&D), Bristol Barrow Road and 81F Oxford from where it was withdrawn in December 1964 and scrapped the fo llowing year at J. Friswell Banbury. Unusually a Derby casting In original condition as stored since 1965.

Both in excellent condition and measure 4.5in tall. 2 Items.
Tenderplate LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY 4242 1947 attached to Thompson B1 1232, later 61232. Built in September 1947 by N B Loco as works number 26133 and allocated to 30F Parkston for most of it life. Withdrawn from 16E Kirkby in Ashfield in February 1966 and cut up by Birds at Long Marston in June of that year. Oval cast iron measures 9in x 5in, face restored.

Nameplate HERMES and badge as carried by Fragonset Diesel Class 47 47703. Built by Brush in 1967 as works number 622 and originally numbered D1960. These nameplates were fitted in September 2000 and removed in March 2007. In as removed condition, nam eplate measures 33.5in x 7.5in.
Worksplate BRUSH SULZER No 622 1967. These were fitted to Fragonset Diesel Class 47 47703 when the company fitted the Hermes nameplates. Oval cast aluminium, in as removed condition measures 9in x 5.5in.

In original condition as stored since 1965.

LMS signal box board MELBOURNE from the former Midland Railway line between Derby and Ashby. It was used by the military during the Second World War and named The Melbourne Military Railway. Wood with cast iron letters, in original condition, measure s 53in x 10in.
Nameplate CLARENCE carried by ex BR class 08 0-6-0 diesel 08602 then transferred to 08785 09/90. Operated by RFS Engineering Ltd and numbered 004. 08602 moved to RFS Doncaster 07/88 and was hired out to Foster Yeoman Isle of Grain, Sheerness Steel at Sheerness and resold in 1990 to BREL Litchurch Lane, Derby. 08785 arrived RFS Kilnhurst 09/90 and became 004 CLARENCE. It worked at several industrial locations including Grovehurst Energy Sittingbourne, the Channel Tunnel and BASF Chemicals Seal Sands before being resold to Freightliners Ltd 07/97 working at Basford Hall Yard, Crewe. Cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 39in x 13.75in.

Kent and East Sussex Railway brass Gate Notice K.& E.S.R. SHUT THIS GATE PENALTY FOR LEAVING OPEN 40 SHILLINGS. Measures 9in x 2in and has been lightly cleaned. This style of notice was only used on the Headcorn Extension and are fairly rare.

Originally allocated to 34B Hornsey the Haymarket, Eastfield and withdrawn fr om Inverness in October 1992. Rectangular chromed brass measuring 8in x 5.75in. In lightly cleaned condition with traces of blue paint. Loco currently preserved on the Strathspey Railway at Aviemore.

LNER enamel sign circa 1920's headed YOU ARE AT THIS SPOT showing a local map of the area and lines to Chingford, Epping, Seven Kings and Chigwell. A large grey arrow is pointing to The Rising Sun Public House the bottom of the sign says NEAREST LNER STATION WOOD STREET and LONDON AND BACK 8D. Interestingly, a good number of local pubs are shown including Theydon Retreat, Grays Retreat and The Volunteer. In good condition with some edge loss measures 29in x 39in.
Caledonian Railway signal box shelfplate ORCHARDHALL SWING BRIDGE. From the bridge that crossed the Forth and Clyde Canal and carried the goods only Bainsford Branch between Fouldubs Junc and Carron Junc near Falkirk. Hand stamped brass in ex box con dition measures 4in x .75in and probably dates from the opening of this branch in 1911.

Nameplate GLASTONBURY TOR ex British Railways class 60 diesel 60039. Built by Brush Traction Loughborough works number 941 and named from the start. Allocated new to Cardiff Canton in May 1991, nameplates removed in April 1997 and renamed Dove Holes. The Locomotive is still in service with DB Cargo after being refurbished in 2013. Cast aluminium in as removed condition and measures 59in x 10in.
Smokebox numberplate 47333. Ex LMS Fowler 3F 0-6-0T built by the North British Locomotive Company Glasgow in 1926 and originally numbered LMS 7333. Allocated to Wellingborough, Bristol Barrow Road, Rose Grove and 10D Lostock Hall from where it was wi thdrawn in November 1964. Scrapped the following year at T.W. Ward Killamarsh. In original condition.

In lightly cleaned condition, whistle measures 16in long and pipe work and valve 31.5in. A rare chance to obtain the complete assembly.

Allocated to Neville Hill, Starbeck, Hull Botanic Gardens and 51D Midd lesborough from where it was withdrawn in March 1957 and scrapped at Darlington Works. Oval cast brass, lightly face restored, measures 9in x 5in and complete with renumbering strip. Comes complete with original BR paperwork dated 1962.
