Allocated to Bournemouth, Nine Elms and 71A Eastleigh from where it was withdrawn in September 1961 and scr apped. Face restored, rear original and hasn't been skimmed.

In original condition as stored since 1965.

Cabplate BRUSH TRACTION ex British Railway Diesel locomotive 57313 named Tracy Island. Rectangular stainless steel with white background green border and black infill. In as removed condition measures 4.75in x 3in.

Worksplate LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY BUILT DONCASTER WORKS 1930 67607 ex LNER V1/V3 2-6-2T LNER 7607/2907 BR 67607. Allocated to St Margarets, Parkhead, and 67B Hurlford from where it was withdrawn in December 1962 and scrapped the following year at Darlington Works. Face restored oval cast brass with renumbering strip measures 9in x 5in.

Smokebox numberplate 4155 ex GWR Collett 2-6-2T built at Swindon in 1947. Allocated to Worcester, Wellington and 84E Tyseley from where it was withdrawn in September 1965. Scrapped the following year at Birds, Long Marston. In lightly face restored c ondition.

Silver presentation cup presented to CARMEN T.H.C. TWINBERROW G.W.R. HOCKLEY FOR BEST HORSE AND HARNESS APRIL 23rd 1931 BY MR & MRS W.E.FLOYD. Hallmarked Birmingham 1929 sterling silver and weighs 550g. Tommy Twinberrow was employed by The Great Western Railway as a Carter at Moor Street Goods Yard and passed away aged 63 years in 1954. Accompanying the lot are various copies of photographs of Tommy at work and with his family. Also various GWR correspondence and certificates. A lovely item especially with all of his family history.

Commemorative medal issued July 16th 1885 for the opening of the Hull Barnsley & West Riding Junction Railway & Dock Company, opened by Lt Col Gerrard Smith MP and Chairman of the Company. Together with a similar from the London & Greenwi ch Railway company. Both are in good condition and measure 1.125in diameter.

Isle Of Man Railway China Teapot with full Coat Of Arms to front and base marked Dunn Bennett & Co Burslem England. Complete with original metal spout and original lid. These were used in the Glen Wyllin refreshment rooms and very few pieces surv ive. Stands 5in tall.

Worksplate DARLINGTON 1948 No 2059 ex LNER Peppercorn A1 4-6-2 numbered LNER 140 and BR 60140 and named Balmoral. Allocated new to York North then Kings Cross briefly and lastly 50A York North from where it was withdrawn in January 1965. Scrapped lat er the same year at Drapers, Neptune Street Goods Yard, Hull. Oval engraved brass face lightly polished, rear has 140 stamped in. Measures 12in x 6.5in.

Nameplate STANLEY together with its worksplate PECKETT & SONS BRISTOL No 1314 1913 ex 0-4-0 ST. Supplied new to B.P.C.M. Ltd Wouldham Quarry West Thurrock and scrapped in 1965. Both in original condition.

Allocated to Swansea Paxton Street (Victoria), Swansea East Dock, Danygraig, Carmarthen and 87J Fishguard Goodwick from where it was withdrawn in September 1963. Scr apped later the following year at Swindon works. Face restored.

Worksplate BUILT 1962 HORWICH ex British Railways class 08 diesel number 08906. New to 14A Cricklewood as D4136, renumbered 08906, withdrawn August 1998 and scrapped. Oval cast iron nicely restored measures 10.5in x 6in.

Measures 5in x 3.5in and hallmarked Birmingham 1925 Sterling silver. In excellent condition, weighs 135g and unusual to see one issued to a lady.

Nameplate THE GEORDIE ex British Railways class 47 diesel 47403. Built by Brush Works and introduced December 1962. Named 2rd February 1982 at Newcastle Central Station, the nameplates removed 09/86. Withdrawn March 1986 and scrapped November 1994 at Crewe Works. The name was reapplied to 47411 at Gateshead Depot April 1987 and removed May 1988. The name was then applied to 47503 at Crewe Diesel Depot August 1988 and removed June 1991. Cast aluminium in as removed condition and measures 59in x 17.75in.

Cabside numberplate 5222 ex British Railways diesel class 25 D5222 / 25072. Built at Derby in 1963 and allocated to 14A Cricklewood and withdrawn from Crewe in 1985, stored at Toton then moved to Vic Berry Leicester where it was sold in 1988 to the S windon & Cricklade Railway, Blunsdon where it was restored using these GWR style numberplates and used briefly at Whatley Quarry shunting stone wagons. Rectangular cast aluminium is as removed condition.

Diesel Bogie plates a pair ALSTOM 2000 and EWS BP 67-034-2000 ex Class 67 67018. Rectangular cast aluminium both measure 7in x 3in and are in as removed condition.

Diesel worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO LTD VULCAN WORKS NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS ENGLAND No 3418/ D876 1963 ex British Railways Diesel Class 37 originally numbered D6932 then 37232 in 1974. Allocated new to 87E Landore and named The Institution of Railwa y Signal Engineers in 1990. Withdrawn in December 1999 and scrapped. Rectangular chromed cast brass measures 10in x 4.5in. Has been cleaned but still shows traces of BR blue paint on the front and edges, slight damage to the right hand bottom corner.

Worksplate 9x5 LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY N.B.LOCO CO 1948 67747 ex Thompson L1 2-6-4T. Allocated to Neasden, Gorton, Willesden and 40E Colwick from where it was withdrawn in July 1962 and scrapped. Oval cast brass, face cleaned, measures 9in x 5in.
