Smokebox numberplate 45377 ex LMS Stanier Black 5 4-6-0 built by Armstrong Whitworth in 1937. Allocated to Patricroft, Fleetwood, Blackpool Central, Bury and 9K Bolton from where it was withdrawn in December 1967. Scrapped the following year at Drape rs Hull. In restored condition.
Southern Railway 3 position mahogany cased Block Instrument complete with top indicator, enamel plated Down and Up line, traffolite plated Petersfield and makers label Tyer & Co London England. In excellent condition stands 24in tall. From Liss s ignal box.
BR(W) enamel lamp tablet KINGS NYMPTON from the former London & South Western railway station between Eggesford and Portsmouth Arms. In fair condition with some chipping mainly to the edges. A rare early version of the totem shape circa 1949-50. Measures 36in x 6in and has top and bottom mounting flanges.
LMS signal box board ELM BRIDGE. From the former Midland railway box on the line between Churchdown and Gloucester. Wood with cast iron letters, In as stored condition since removal with some beading missing. Measures 55in x 9.5in.
Nameplate CORNWALLIS ex LMS Stanier Jubilee 4-6-0 built at Crewe in 1935 and numbered LMS 5666 and BR 45666 and named after Admiral of the Red Sir William Cornwallis. Allocated to Edge Hill, Crew North, Carlisle Upperby, Willesden and 8B Warrington D allam from where it was withdrawn from in April 1965, scrapped later the same year at R.S. Hayes Birds, Tremains Yard, Bridgend. In lightly face restored condition, rear stamped with two dots indicating this is the right hand side plate. The first time either plate has appeared at auction.

Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD LONDON THE VULCAN FOUNDRY LTD LOCOMOTIVE WORKS ENGLAND No 3078/D628 1960 ex British Railways diesel Class 40 originally numbered D332 and 40132 in 1974. Allocated new to 5A Crewe North and withdrawn from Sp rings Branch in March 1982, scrapped at Vic Berry Leicester in January 1978. Rectangular chromed brass measuring 10.125in x 4.5in. In as removed condition.

BR Tyers No9 single line aluminium key token MANTON-CORBY configuration B. Ex Midland Railway section that commenced in March 1996 when the line between Corby North signal box and Manton Junction signal box was singled. Corby North signal box closed in August 1998. In ex railway condition.
Worksplate BUILT 1949 HORWICH ex LMS 4MT 2-6-0 43044. Allocated to Stourton, Manningham and 55A Leeds Holbeck from where it was withdrawn in September 1967. Scrapped the following year at Cashmores Great Bridge. Oval cast iron, face restored, rear or iginal with 3044 painted on. Measures 10.5in x 6in.
BR(W) FF enamel station sign TICKET OFFICE & WAITING ROOM. In excellent condition with minor edge chipping. Measures 48in x 12in. This is the rare experimental black and white enamel as used by the Western region on a few stations and this one pr obably originates from Plymouth Devonport as it came with other West Country signs.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 3738 ex Collett 0-6-0PT built at Swindon in 1937. Allocated to Slough, Reading, Tondu, Llantrisant, Radyr and 88A Cardiff East Dock from where it was withdrawn in August 1965 and scrapped. In original condition as st ored since 1965.
BR enamel Totem Roundel FF BRISTOL TEMPLE MEADS from the former Great Western railway mainline station in the heart of Bristol. This type of sign was only used here and at Birmingham Snow Hill on the Western Region although standard Totems were also used at both locations. In very good condition with some minor chips, measures 34in diameter. Only a couple of totems are known to have survived from this station.
LT Double Royal enamel poster board heading JUBILEE LINE. In very good condition with some minor edge chipping measures 25.75in x 5.25in.
North Eastern railway framed and glazed notice for the Trimming and Lighting of Lamps dated 1904. Lists information on Roof Lamps, Tail Lamps, Side Lamps and general instructions, recovered by the vendor from Barnard Castle Station in 1966. In origin al glazed frame with Station Master, Barnard Castle written on the back of the notice. A rare survivor in very good condition measures 20in x 14in. Definitely one for the lamp collectors.
BR-W carriage board PAR - NEWQUAY. Wood with steel ends in excellent condition. Measures 32in x 3.25in.
Diesel worksplate BRITISH RAILWAYS CREWE BUILT 1965 POWER EQUIPMENT BY BRUSH ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING COMPANY LTD AND SULZER ex BR diesel class 47 originally numbered D1968 then 47516 in 1973 and 47708 in 1979. It carried the names Waverley and Templec ombe. Allocated new to 64B Haymarket and withdrawn from Crewe in and scrapped at Crewe works in 1995. Rectangular cast aluminium face lightly cleaned and has had a couple of small holes drilled in it, measures 13in x 6.5in.
Cornwall railway Bridgeplate 23. Oval cast iron measures 22in x 15.5in and is in as removed condition. This is the first one of these plates to be offered at public auction.

Miniature single line staff HARVINGTON - BROOM WEST from the Midland Railway section between Evesham and Alcester. Steel and brass measuring 12in long. In ex railway condition.
Worksplate LMS BUILT CREWE 1929 ex Fowler 7F 0-8-0 numbered LMS 9505 and BR 49505. Allocated to Wakefield, Aintree, Oldham (Lees) and 26B Agecroft from where it was withdrawn in October 1960. Scrapped the following year at Horwich Works. Oval cast br ass, face restored with 49505 barely visible chalked on the back, measures 10.5in x 6in.

Cab makers plate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE CO LTD 1958 THE GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD ex British Railways diesel class 16 in the number range D8400 to D8409. Diamond shaped cast aluminium in as removed condition. A rare plate as there were only ten in the class.
Wagonplate SR LANCING 55979. Oval cast iron measures 13.25in x 7.5in and has been restored. Ex Standard 25 Tons Goods Brake Van, one of 80 built between 1928 and 1929.
Nameplate IVERNIA ex British Railways class 40 diesel D221 / 40021. Built by English Electric and introduced July 1959. Named 25th March 1961 at Derby Works, the nameplates removed around 1971. Withdrawn July 1976 and scrapped by May 1977 at Crewe Wo rks. Cast aluminium in restored condition and measures 28.25in x 14.75in. Special design for the class incorporating the Cunard Lines flag.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 4651 ex Collett 0-6-0PT built at Swindon in 1943. Allocated to Swindon and 87B Duffryn Yard from where it was withdrawn in September 1963 and scrapped the same year at Swindon works. In original condition as stored s ince 1965.
GWR brass cased circular track circuit banner repeater complete with ivorine plate DOWN MAIN THROUGH POINTS 19 & 37 (MA 4T) and original steel mounting. In very good original condition.

GWR enamel railway sign PLATFORM 4. Double sided with a single flange at the top both sides in good condition with some edge chipping. Measures 24in x 18in. A rare late Great Western enamel and predecessor of the British Railways enamel signs.

Pullman Coach LAVATORY WINDOW. Oval cast brass frame with original rippled glass and decorative amber glass beads. It is possible that this window was from one of the cars built before 1908 by The American Pullman Company in the USA and shipped to En gland in parts. In original condition measures 23in x 15in and probably a sole survivor.
Diesel Bogie plate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY LTD GLASGOW BOGIE No 6306/75 BUILT 1960 ex Class 22. Diamond shaped cast brass measuring 6in x 2.5in, together with a brass plate IN CASE OF FIR SHUT DOWN DIESEL ENGINE etc 6in x 2.5in. Both in as r emoved condition.
Worksplate THE VULCAN FOUNDRY (LIMITED) NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS LANCASHIRE No 1874 1903 ex Robinson C13 4-4-2 T built for the Great Central Railway and numbered 1055, LNER 6055, 7400 and BR 67400. Allocated to Chester Northgate and 6E Wrexham Rhosddu from where it was withdrawn in December 1956. Scrapped at Doncaster the following year, Oval cast brass, face restored with the 4 of the builders number chiselled off and a small hairline crack at the top measures 9.75in x 5.75in. Barely visible on the back is 67400.

Totem BR(W) HF HONEYBOURNE from the former Great Western Railway Junction station between Cheltenham, Stratford, Evesham and Oxford. In very good condition with normal edge chipping one small face chip and slight loss of shine.
Smokebox numberplate 30935 ex Maunsell Schools class 4-4-0 built at Eastleigh in 1935 and numbered SR 935 BR 30935 and named Sevenoaks. Allocated to Bricklayers Arms, Ashford and 70A Nine Elms from where it was withdrawn in December 1962 and scrapped two years latter at Cohens (Kettering). Face restored rear has BR(S) Eastleigh casting mark and comes complete with a copy of the official BR sales offer dated 29th January 1964.
LNER cast iron seat back BRANCEPETH from the former North Eastern railway station between Durham and Bishop Auckland. Face restored rear original measures 35.5in x 4.25in.
Stoneware flagon BUXTON & Co MIDDLETON JUNCTION embossed with makers name PRICE BRISTOL. In excellent condition stands 11in tall and is complete with stopper.
British Railways cabside DOUBLE ARROW as removed from an Electric Class 85. Measures 30in long and is in as removed condition with plenty of BR blue paint.

Great Western enamel sign GWR THIS BUILDING CONTAINS HIGHLY INFLAMMABLE STORES etc. Measures 14in x 10in and is in good condition, in a wooden frame, with some restoration to the corners.
Great Western Railway station platform sign BOOKING HALL, double sided wood with cast iron letters and original wrought iron bracket. In as removed condition measures overall 45in x 32in.
Bridgeplate L&NW & GW JOINT LINES 26A. Oval cast iron measures 17.5in x 11.25in. These suffix bridgeplates were only used on the Birkenhead Joint Line.

Oval engraved brass face lightly cleaned unlike the other side w e sold in our March auction this one is not stamped STAN 30 measures 6.25in x 3.75in.
