GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 3634 ex Collett 0-6-0 PT built at Swindon in 1939. Allocated to Brecon, Ebbw Junction and 88J Aberdare from where it was withdrawn in July 1964 and scrapped later the same year at Cashmores Newport. In original condi tion as stored since 1965.
Worksplate YORKSHIRE ENGINE CO LIMITED MEADOW-HALL WORKS SHEFFIELD No 2745 1960 ex 0-4-0 220hp diesel electric locomotive. Supplied to the National Coal Board and used at Agecroft Colliery near Manchester and numbered L052, withdrawn in 1984 and pres erved at Chatterley Whitfield Mining Museum near Stoke On Trent and then in 1994 it moved to the South Devon Railway where it still resides as number 2745. Oval cast brass face restored measures 11in x 6in.

Worksplate, London & North Eastern Railway 8459 Neilson & Co 1907. Ex North British Railway Holmes class D LNER J83 0-6-0T built 1901 as works No 5750. Originally numbered NBR 812, LNER 9812, 8459 and BR 68459. It spent most of its working l ife at 62A Thornton Junction from where it was withdrawn in May 1961 and scrapped the following year at Inverurie works. Oval cast brass in cleaned condition measures 9in x 5in. Note the error on the LNER plate with build date which is a Cowlairs casting.

The locomotive was later owned by Malawi State Railways and was withdrawn by the mid 1970's. Ova l cast brass, lightly face cleaned, measures 18in x 13in. A rare cabside.

Nameplate IMPLACABLE ex British Railways Diesel class 50 built by English Electric in 1968 as works number 3809/D1180 and numbered D439 and renumbered 50039 in February 1974 and named without ceremony at Laira Depot in June 1978. Withdrawn in June 19 89 from Old Oak Common and scrapped on site. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition, measures 45.5in x 9.75in.
Nameplate GORDON ex Taff vale Railway 01 0-6-2 T numbered 450. Withdrawn in 1927 and purchased by the Government for use on the Longmoor Military Railway and named Gordon. It was sold again in 1948 to James Connell of Coatbridge for use at the South Hetton Colliery. Withdrawn in 1960 and sent to Caerphilly Works for restoration which is where the nameplates were removed. It is now resident on the Gwilli Railway awaiting restoration. Rectangular cast brass, face restored, measures 37.5in x 6.5in.

Allocated new to Tinsley in November 1982 and withdrawn in January 2003 and scrapped. Rectangular cast aluminium face restored rear with traces of yellow paint and stamped 56112. Measures 7in x 4.75in.
