Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD LONDON THE VULCAN FOUNDRY LTD LOCOMOTIVE WORKS ENGLAND No 2350/D378 1957 ex British Railways diesel Class 20 originally numbered D8003 and 20003 in 1974. Allocated new to 1D Devon Road and withdrawn from IM Immingham in December 1982 and scrapped at BREL Crewe. Rectangular chromed brass measuring 10in x 4.5in. In as removed condition.
WD registration plate WD 1264 PORTER USA 1942 . Ex Southern Railway USA Class 0-6-0T built by Porter in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as works number 7420. Originally numbered SR 61 and then BR 30061 it saw almost all of its working life at Southampton Do cks and was withdrawn from there in October 1962 and scrapped 5 years later at Cashmore's Newport. One of a class of 14 purchased by the Southern Railway this is the only Porter built example as the other 13 were manufactured by Vulcan Ironwork (USA). Oval cast brass, lightly face cleaned measures 10in x 6.5in.
Nameplate LYNTON ex Southern Railway Bullied West Country Pacific 4-6-2 built at Brighton in 1946 and numbered SR 21C138 and BR 34038. Allocated to Stewarts Lane, Brighton, Plymouth Friary, Exmouth Junction, Eastleigh and 70A Nine Elms from where it was withdrawn in June 1966. Scrapped at Cashmores Newport. Together with an original West Country Class Scroll. Both face restored.
Totem BR(W) HF BADMINTON from the former Great Western Railway station Hullavington and Chipping Sodbury closed in 1968 which was the year that Jane Bullen famously won the Badminton Horse Trials on Our Nobby. In very good condition with two minor fa ce chips.
BR(NE) enamel doorplate PRIVATE. In very good condition with minor edge chipping and black edge letters. Measures 18in x 3.5in.
Cambrian Railway station platform lamp with paper lamp tablet TREFEINON. In original condition with oval brass plate CAM RY on reducing cone, correct reservoir plated CAM RY and brandy glass shaped glass which has a small chip at the bottom. A wonder ful and rare survivor from this small halt between Talyllyn Junction and Talgarth. Stands 22in tall.
British Railways tri note chime locomotive whistle ex Riddles STD Class 7 4-6-2 Britannia 70010 Owen Glendower. Complete with operating valve with YM3 cast into the body and lever. Mounted on a wooden stand for ease of display with engraved brass pla que. The most complete one of these we have seen.

Totem BR(W) FF LLANBRADACH from the former Rhymney railway station between Ystrad Mynach and Caerphilly. In very good condition with a few small face and one end chip. A rare totem that has never appeared at auction before.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 4637 ex Collett 0-6-0PT built at Swindon in 1942. Allocated to Aberbeeg, Llantrisant and 88B Radyr from where it was withdrawn in May 1964 and scrapped the following year at Birds Risca. In original condition as stor ed since 1965.
Three LNER Liverpool Street Station painted steel indicator boards with the following locations; HALESWORTH, HATFIELD PEVERELL. BISHOPS STORTFORD. All in very good as removed condition measuring 22in x 2.75in.

Worksplate SENTINEL (SHREWSBURY) LTD MAKERS IN ALL CORRESPONDENCE MENTION LOCO No 9570 ex 0-4-0 Diesel Hydraulic Locomotive supplied new to Barrow Colliery, where it was named, Sentinel No.5. It was transferred to Smithywood Colliery, Chapeltown, bet ween April 1957, and February 1958, where it would be dismantled, between August, and October 1964, with the wheels, and frame being sent to Thomas Hill (Rotherham) Ltd, Vanguard Works, Kilnhurst, and with the remains being scrapped, on-site, at Smithywood Colliery, circa November 1964. Rectangular cast brass, face restored. Measures 5.125in x 4in.
London Underground enamel target/bullseye sign KNIGHTSBRIDGE in original bronze frame. Measures 24in x 19in and is in excellent condition.
British Rail cast aluminium depot plaque for Buxton depicting the Millstone. Square cast aluminium measures 17.75in x 17.75in as removed condition.

Worksplate ROBERT STEPHENSON & HAWTHORNS LTD NEWCASTLE & DARLINGTON 7205 1945 ex 0-6-0 ST supplied to the WD and numbered 75275. Later numbered 177 and named Matruh. It was used on the Longmoor Military Railway and painted in the WD brown liv ery. Oval cast iron in restored condition measures 13in x 8.5in. Smokebox numberplate 80077 ex British Railways Riddles STD Class 4 4-6-2 T built at Brighton in 1954. Allocated to Plaistow, Tilbury, March, Ardsley, Ardrossan and 67A Corkerhill from where it was withdrawn in October 1964. Scrapped the following yea r at Motherwell Machinery & Scrap Wishaw. In original condition.

Southern Railway cabside numberplate 21C2. From SR Bulleid Pacific Merchant Navy class 4-6-2 built at Eastleigh in 1941 and named Union Castle. Numbered SR 21C2 and BR 35002. Allocated to Exmouth Junction, Bournemouth and 70A Nine Elms from where it was withdrawn in February 1964 and scrapped. Rectangular cast gunmetal in original condition with the SR Eastleigh triangle cast into the back and plenty of green paint around the edge indicating this was fixed onto the cabside. Measures 34.5in x 12.5in. Only the first two Merchant Navy pacifics carried these plates.
Totem BR(W) TORQUAY from the former Great Western Railway Station on the English Riviera. These were manufactured in a composite plastic material in the Western Regions experimental Black and White. In good ex station condition.
LNER enamel seat back FENCHURCH STREET from the former Great Eastern Railway London Terminus station. In very good condition with minor chipping, measures 50in x 4in.
Great Western Railway cast iron Seat Ends x3 with the GWR roundel cast into each end. Have been shot blasted and primed ready to be finished and used.
GNER cast brass crest as fitted to some of their coaching stock including the HST carriages. In as removed condition measures 22in x 19.5in. Complete with original GNER receipt letter confirming purchase and delivery by DHL in December 2007.

Headboard THE ABERDONIAN from the King's Cross - Aberdeen sleeping car train. This version was introduced in the summer of 1962 and was Deltic specific. Painted steel with wooden backboard and steel reinforced ends. In ex railway condition measures 4 7.5in x 19in.
Worksplate BEYER PEACOCK & CO LD 1918 MANCHESTER. Ex Cambrian Railway 15 class 0-6-0 supplied to the Cambrian in June 1919 as BP works number 5947, originally numbered Cambrian Rlys 42 and then GWR 873. Withdrawn from service in March 1954 and sc rapped. Oval cast brass in as removed condition rear stamped Tender 873 so maybe used on the tender later or relates to the engine being a tender loco. Measures 9.75in x 5.75in.

GWR brass cabside numberplate 8714 ex Collett 0-6-0PT built by Beyer Peacock in 1931. Allocated to Bristol Bath Road, St Philips Marsh, Westbury, Duffryn Yard, Swansea East Dock and 82E Bristol Barrow Road from where it was withdrawn from in November 1964. Scrapped the following year at Buttigiegs Newport. In lightly cleaned condition.
Midland Railway enamel doorplate LADIES ROOM THIRD CLASS. In very good condition with minor edge chipping and a small area of restoration on the right hand edge, measures 18in x 7in.
LMS cast iron tenderplate LMS 9801 1939 ex Stanier Coronation Class built at Crewe in 1939 named City Of Carlisle and numbered LMS 6238 and BR 46238. Allocated to Camden and 12A Carlisle Upperby from where it was withdrawn in September 1964 and scrap ped at Arnott Young Troon. Rectangular cast iron face restored measures 8in x 5.75in.

Named MONARCH in March 1978. Originally allocated to the LMWL London Midl and Western Lines and withdrawn from Laira in September 1988 and scrapped there. Rectangular chromed brass measuring 10.25in x 4.5in. In rechromed condition as acquired from Doncaster works by the vendors late father who was the Chief Foreman of 4 bay which was the locomotive repair shop and test bays and the stripping shop at British Rail Engineering Ltd .
BR-W brass cabside naming plaque ON THE 15TH NOVEMBER 1950 IN THE ERECTING SHOP AT SWINDON WORKS H.R.H THE PRINCESS ELIZABETH NAMED THIS ENGINE SWINDON IN HONOUR OF THE JUBILEE OF THE BOROUGH ex Collett Castle 4-6-0 numbered 7037. Allocated to Swindo n and 81A Old Oak Common in March 1963 which is where the plate was removed. Scrapped at Cashmores Newport. Rectangular engraved brass measures 8.75in x 3.75in. NOTE This plate was fitted to the left hand side of the cab just above the cabside numberplate. A truly historic piece.

Built by the North British Locomotive Company in 1925 and allocated to Stewarts Lane, Dover Marine and 70A Nine Elms from where it was withdrawn in January 1960 and scrapped. In restored condition with the BR(S) Eastleigh casting in the back.
Worksplate CHAPMAN & FURNEAUX GATESHEAD ON TYNE SUCCESSORS TO BLACK HAWTHORN & CO LIMITED No 1200 1901. Ex 0-4-0ST supplied new to the Clifton & Kersley Coal company limited of Clifton near Manchester and named Robin Hood. Later transferr ed into NCB ownership and used at various collieries including Outwood, Wheatsheaf, Robin Hood and eventually Walkden where it was scrapped in 1961. Oval cast brass in as removed condition. Measures 11.5in 8in.
Nameplate SIR GUY WILLIAMS ex WD Riddles Austerity 2-8-0 built by the North British Locomotive Company as works number 25205 in 1943 and numbered 77337. In later years it saw service on the Longmoor Military Railway and was numbered 400 and painted b lue with red lining. It was scrapped in 1967. Cast brass with a later replacement aluminium crest, face restored. NOTE The nameplates were originally also carried on sister loco WD 78672.
