GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 3785 ex Collett 0-6-0PT built at Swindon in 1938. Allocated to Landore and 87D Swansea East Dock from where it was withdrawn in July 1962 and scrapped later the same year at Cohens Morriston. In original condition as stored since 1965.
Worksplate YORKSHIRE ENGINE CO LIMITED MEADOW HALL WORKS SHEFFIELD No 2847 1961 ex British Railways Class 02 0-4-0 Diesel Hydraulic D2864. Allocated new to 8B Warrington and withdrawn from 9A Longsight in February 1970 and sold to W. Hesslewood, Atte rcliffe. Oval cast brass in as removed condition measuring 11in x 6in. A rare plate from a class of 20.
Works makers plate GEC ALSTHOM METRO CAMMEL BIRMINGHAM 1995 as fitted to the Eurostar power cars and coaches. In as removed condition, measures 8.75in x 5.25in.
LMS cast iron tenderplate LMS 9927 1942 ex Stanier Class 8 built by the North British Locomotive Company Glasgow in 1942 and numbered LMS 8200 and BR 48200. Allocated to Toton, Staveley, Edge Hill, Newton heath and 9k Bolton from where it was withdra wn in February 1968 and scrapped. Rectangular cast iron face restored measures 8in x 5.75in with a repair to one corner.
British Railways locomotive headboard THE FAIR MAID as used on the former King's Cross - Perth Express from 1956. Cast aluminium, face restored, rear original with other headboard names cast to the right hand side. Has had a weld repair possibly in s ervice.
Worksplate DUBBS & CO GLASGOW LOCOMOTIVE WORKS N0 3360 1896 ex Cape Government 4-8-0 numbered 723 and later South African Railways Class 7A numbered 1006. Diamond shaped cast brass, face cleaned, measures 12.5in x 5.5in.

Nameplate THE SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE REGIMENT, ex LMS Royal Scot Class 6P/7P 4-6-0 built by the North British Locomotive Co as Works No 23638 in October 1927 and numbered LMS 6143 and BR 46143. Originally named Mail and renamed in July 1934 after the in fantry regiment. Allocated to Crewe North, Edge Hill, Bushbury, Polmadie, Longsight, Trafford Park and lastly 16D Annesley working expresses on the Great Central main line. Withdrawn from Annesley in December 1963 and scrapped at Crewe Works. Cast brass face restored.

Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO LTD VULCAN WORKS NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS ENGLAND No 3778/D1149 1967 ex British Railways diesel class 50 originally numbered D408 and 50008 in 1974. Named THUNDERER in September 1978. Originally allocated to the LMWL Londo n Midland Western Lines and withdrawn in May 1992 from Laira. After its withdrawal, 50008 was initially purchased by Pete Waterman but was then subsequently sold for commercial use to Sea Containers Limited in 1998. In 2006 it was sold again. In rechromed condition as acquired from Doncaster works by the vendors late father who was the Chief Foreman of 4 bay which was the locomotive repair shop and test bays and the stripping shop at British Rail Engineering Ltd.
GWR 4242 brass cabside numberplate ex Churchward 2-8-0T built at Swindon in 1916. Allocated to St Blazey, Newport Ebbw Junction, Neath Court Sart, Gloucester Horton Road, Llanelly, Cardiff Canton and 88L Cardiff East Dock from where it was withdrawn in March 1964. Scrapped later the same year at Birds, Risca. In original condition as stored since 1965.
London Underground enamel target/bullseye sign BANK in original aluminium frame. Measures 24in x 19in and is in excellent condition.

Brass Cabside plate KPEV (Koniglich Preubische Eisenbahn-Verwaltung) Prussian State Railways depicting the Imperial Eagle. Measures 249mm diameter and has the correct recessed back, face cleaned rear original and mounted on an oak plinth which is lab elled verso From German locomotive Kron Princess Eugene Victoria World War I. The Royal train was captured by the allies during the battle for Amiens in 1918.
Headboard THE ORCADIAN from the train that ran between Inverness - Wick/Thurso from 1962-1964 and was diesel hauled throughout. Circular wood in ex railway condition measures 22in x 21in. Accompanying the Lot is an extract from the Railway Magazine J anuary 1973 showing a close-up of this headboard and Class 24 locomotives.
Smokebox numberplate 8468 ex BR-W Hawksworth 0-6-0 PT built by the Yorkshire Engine Co in 1951. Allocated to 84E Tyseley for all its working life and withdrawn from there in 1960. It then appears that the numberplate was painted on the rear 5221 and used on that loco for some time. So two for the price of one!
LNWR & GWR cast iron sign PROPPING UP WAGON DOORS titled LONDON & NORTH WESTN & GREAT WESTN JOINT RAILYS and signed J. Williams Joint Superintendent. In good lightly cleaned condition, a rare sign.
Worksplate GREAT NORTHERN RY CO MAKERS DONCASTER No 821 1899 ex GNR Ivatt Class C12 4-4-2T numbered GNR 1510, LNER 4510, 7368 and BR 67368. It spent most of its working life at New England and 35C Spital Bridge from where it was withdrawn in October 1955 and scrapped at Doncaster works. Oval cast brass in restored condition and 7368 stamped in the back. Measures 10.75in x 6.5in.

Nameplate CALCUTTA ex GWR Dean Bulldog 4-4-0 built at Swindon in 1904 and originally numbered 3468 then 3406 in 1912. Allocated to Penzance, Ebbw Junction and 85C Hereford from where it was withdrawn in January 1951 and scrapped. Restored a long time ago. L stamped into the rear indicating this is the left hand plate.

Pullman Coach LAVATORY WINDOW. Oval cast brass frame with original rippled glass and decorative amber glass beads. It is possible that this window was from one of the cars built before 1908 by The American Pullman Company in the USA and shipped to En gland in parts. In original condition measures 23in x 15in and probably a sole survivor.
