Shedplate 71G Bath Green Park (1948 – February 1958) then Weymouth (February 1958 – September 1963). The ex S&D shed in Bath was home to over 50 locos including the famous S&D 2-8-0s. Transferred to the WR, becoming 82F, it exchanged codes wi th ex GWR Weymouth shed, whose 20 GWR locos now sported the SR code. In September 1963 the depot received SR locos and was recoded 70G. Face restored condition with BR(S) triangle cast into the back and typical Southern region region casting marks on the front.

Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway pre grouping nickel cased pocket watch with a English lever movement signed Skarratt Worcester, key wound and key set. The dial has a small chip repair at the 6 o'clock position and minor hairline crack. The rear o f the case is machine engraved S&D.J.R 30 crossed out and re engraved GW 806, barely visible is the original hand engraving SDJR 30. In working condition complete with key.
Midland Railway nickel cased pocket watch with a American Seth Thomas 7 jewel lever movement number 89463 which dates this watch to around 1897, key wound and key set. The dial is in top condition with no damage or hairlines and the rear of the case is hand engraved M.R G 1457. In full recently oiled and serviced working condition complete with key, one of the best examples we have seen.
Great Western Railway pre grouping nickel cased pocket watch with a English lever movement fully signed SKARRATT WORCESTER FOGG'S PATENT, key wound and key set. The dial has one small hairline by the 7 and the rear of the case is machine engraved GWR 803. In working condition complete with key.
London Brighton and South Coast Railway silver cased pocket watch with American Waltham Watch Co movement 17924972 which dates the movement to circa 1910, top wound and top set. The hall marked sterling.925 silver case has marks for Birmingham 1912 a nd is hand engraved inside LONDON BRIGHTON & SOUTH COAST RAILWAY 753. The dial is free from chips and hairline cracks. In good working condition. Rare to find a silver cased example.
London Brighton and South Coast Railway nickel cased pocket watch with a jewelled lever movement probably of American manufacture, top wound and top set. The nickel silver case is hand engraved on the back L.B.S.C.R. Co PASSENGER 637. The dial is fre e from chips and a small hairline crack in the 1 o'clock position. In good working condition. A rare example not seen by us before.
Taff Vale Railway nickel cased pocket watch with a Waltham Massachusetts movement number 4936553 which dates this watch to 1891, top wound and top set. The dial has a couple of small hairlines by the 12 and 2 o'clock positions. The rear of the case i s hand engraved TAFF VALE RAILWAY 113. In good working condition.
Great Western Railway pre grouping nickel cased pocket watch with a English lever movement fully signed SKARRATT & CO WORCESTER, key wound and key set. The dial is free from chips and has one minor hairline in the minute ring between 10 and 11 o' clock. The rear of the case is machine engraved GWR 1079. In working condition complete with key.
Great Western Railway post grouping nickel cased pocket watch No 03262. With a Limit No2 Swiss made 15 jewel movement with top wind and top set. Dial enamelled GWR 03262. Rear of the case is machine engraved G.W.R. 03262. In excellent working conditi on.
Southern Railway 8 inch oak cased fusee railway clock with a rectangular plated wire driven English fusee movement, supplied to the Southern Railway in 1937 by Grimshaw, Baxter & Elliott at a cost of 3-8s-6d. The original dial displays SR 10214 a nd the case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass turn. The SR clock records show this clock as last in use at Wimbledon Park Carriage Sidings Office. In working order but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum and key. A nice clock that has missed the subsequent BR(S) dial writing by John Walker.
