Rectangular cast brass, lightly face restored, measures 8.25in x 5in.

Worksplate BUILT BY THE BIRMINGHAM RAILWAY CARRIAGE & WAGON CO LTD SMETHWICK ENGLAND 1961 SERIAL No DEL 155 ex British Railways Diesel Class 33 numbered D6563 and 33045 in 1973. Allocated new to 73C Hither Green and withdrawn in October 1987 and scrapped at Vic Berry Leicester in 1990. Rectangular chromed brass face restored, measures 8in x 5.75in.
BR(M) FF enamel doorplate MR W P NICOLSON. In good condition with chips to the corners and slight loss of shine. Measures 18in x 3.5in.

Southern Railway enamel target station sign REIGATE from the former South Eastern & Chatham Railway station between Red Hill and Guildford. In very good condition with some edge chipping. Measures 28in long.
Nameplate MOBBERLEY HALLL ex BR-W Hawksworth modified Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1950 as order number 368 and numbered 7916. Allocated to St Blazey, Newton Abbot, Laira, Swindon and 88A Cardiff east Dock from where it was withdrawn from in December 1964 and scrapped the following year at Swindon works. In lightly cleaned condition with R 7916 stamped into the back indicating this is the right hand side.
Great Western Railway leather Cash Bag brass plated G.W.R. CEFN COED. In very good condition on the front and a tear to the leather on the rear. Cefn Coed was originally a joint Brecon & Merthyr and London & North Western Railway station betw een Abergavenny and Merthyr.
Brecon & Merthyr Railway carriage panel with full Coat Of Arms. Curved mahogany as cut from the side of a carriage as opposed to a later post railway mounted one. Measures 13.5in x 11.5in.
Great Western Railway enamel station platform lamp tablet. KEYNSHAM AND SOMERDALE from the station between Bath and Bristol which was close to the Fry's chocolate factory. In very good condition with minor edge chipping, measures 17.5in x 6in.
Worksplate THE HUNSLET ENGINE co LTD LEEDS No 1459 1927. Ex 0-6-0ST supplied new to Fletcher Burrows and Co Ltd Atherton colliery and named Colonel. Later transferred into to NCB ownership and used at various locations including Chanters Colliery, Ty ldesley; Wheatsheaf Colliery, Pendlebury; Parsonage Colliery, Leigh; Howe Bridge Colliery, Atherton; Gin Railways, Tyldesley; Bedford Colliery, Leigh. It was scrapped on site at Bedford Colliery in 1966. Oval cast brass in as removed condition, measures 11.5in x 8in.

GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 3755 ex Collett 0-6-0PT built at Swindon in 1937. Allocated to Cardiff Canton and 88B Cardiff East dock from where it was withdrawn in January 1964 and scrapped later the same year at R.S. Hayes/Birds, Tremains Yard, Bridgend. In original condition as stored since 1965.
Midland Railway hand engraved brass shelf plate COATES PARK SOUTH GOODS LINE. In very good condition with original black wax infill. Measures 5in x 0.75in.
Stainless steel Intercity Swallow, left hand facing, as removed from a Class 91 electric locomotive. Measures 24.5in long and is in excellent as removed condition complete with tail tips.
Smokebox numberplate 68538 ex Great Eastern Railway Holden J67/J69 0-6-0 T originally numbered GER 361 then LNER 7361, 8538 and lastly BR 68538. Allocated to 30A Stratford for a lot of its working life and withdrawn from there in September 1961 and s crapped. Face restored.

Originally allocated to D05 Stoke Division an d withdrawn from Laira in August 1991 and Purchased in December 1991 by the Class 50 Society, it now is part of the Fifty Fund fleet and is now based at Kidderminster on the Severn Valley Railway. Rectangular chromed brass measuring 10.25in x 4.5in. In as removed condition. The last of the class to be built.
Worksplate ANDREW BARCLAY SONS & CO LIMITED CALEDONIA WORKS KILMARNOCK No 1625 1919 ex 0-4-0 ST named Allenby. Delivered new to Sutton Manor Collieries Ltd St Helens then to Ravenhead under NCB ownership and scrapped June 1965. Oval cast brass fa ce lightly restored measures 16.75in x 11.75in.
Nameplate FARLEIGH CASTLE ex GWR Collett Castle Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1934 as order number 295 and numbered 5027. Allocated to Old Oak Common, Chester, Stafford Road, Carmarthen and 87F Llanelly from where it was withdrawn from in November 1962 and scrapped at Cashmore's Great Bridge. In nicely restored condition. Rear stamped RIN 5027 Lot No 295 indicating this is the right hand plate. Note at some point the letters have been removed for cleaning and subsequently re affixed using fixings from the rear, none of the original rivet heads have been removed from the letters.

A superb item in original GWR frame with GWR stamped brass hook, measures 8in x 5.5in.

Note this is the other side to the one we sold in our November auction.

Worksplates a pair F.C.HIBBERD & CO LTD PLANET LOCO 3057 LONDON NW10 ex 4W DM built in 1946 and supplied to the Weston and District Gas Company Weston-Super-Mare where it remained in use until 1968 when the gasworks closed and then sold to a Tar works in Plymouth. The locomotive was then purchased by Brian Kinsey and put on display at the Somerset Railway Museum Bleadon and Uphill. Oval cast brass measures 12in x 7.5in one in as removed condition the other face restored, also included is the Planet from radiator makers plate in original condition.

LMS Platform Lamp with original station label MARYKIRK and complete with a reservoir burner and chimney. Stands 25in tall and is in good condition. Marykirk was a former Caledonian Railway station between Forfar and Stonehaven.

Nameplate MAJOR GENERAL MCMULLEN ex WD Riddles Austerity 2-8-0 built by the Vulcan Foundry as works number 5193 in 1945 and numbered 7950. In later years it saw service on the Longmoor Military Railway and was numbered 401 and painted blue with red l ining. It was scrapped in 1957. Rectangular cast brass in as removed condition. From the collection of the late Major John David Pierrepont Poyntz.
BR-W brass cabside numberplate 8468 ex BR-W Hawksworth 0-6-0 PT built by the Yorkshire Engine Co in 1951. Allocated to 84E Tyseley for all its working life and withdrawn from there in May 1960 and scrapped at Swindon Works. Lightly face restored.
London & North Eastern Railway Scottish Pipers Plaid Brooch. Nickel plated brass with L.N.E.R ED PIPE BAND in the central part surrounded by Scottish thistles. Rear with clasp and stamped 207. Measures 3.5in diameter and is in excellent condition . We think ED stands for Edinburgh District and has to be a rare survivor.
