Worksplate KITSON & CO LIMITED LEEDS 1918 ex Great Central Railway Robinson 04 2-8-0 numbered ROD 1616, LNER 6364, 3655 and BR 63655. Allocated to Gorton, Immingham, March, Cambridge, Barnsley, Stavely, Frodingham and 36E Retford Thrumpton from w here it was withdrawn in December 1962 and scrapped at Doncaster Works. Oval cast iron in as removed condition complete with original nuts and bolts and 63655 lightly scratched in the back. Measures 10.75in x 6.25in.
Totem BR(W) HF DROITWICH SPA from the former Great Western Railway station between Worcester and Wolverhampton. In very good condition with 2 face chips on the left hand wing. Not common, the last time at auction over 12 years ago.
Stephenson Diesel front radiator plate, chromed brass with image of Stephenson's Rocket. These were fitted on diesel locomotives manufactured by GEC Traction at the Vulcan Works Newton Le Willows and only around 30 locomotives were built. In as remov ed condition measures 6in x 5.5in.
Southern Railway Shipping Flag with the SR red ensign. In good condition with a few small holes and complete with original mounting rope. Measures 71in x 53in. This flag was recovered from the Southampton Terminal buildings.

Allocated to 31B March and withdrawn from CD Crewe Diesel in March 1976. Scrapped a year later at BREL Swindon. Rectangular cast aluminium measures 13in x 6.5in, lightly face restored and 24083 written on the back.

GWR brass cabside numberplate 5979 ex GWR Collett Hall 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1938 and named Cruckton Hall. Allocated to Oxley, Reading, Gloucester Horton Road and 85A Worcester from where it was withdrawn in November 1964 and scrapped the followi ng year at R.S. Hayes/Birds, Tremains Yard, Bridgend. Nicely face restored.
Smokebox numberplate 90459 ex Riddles WD 2-8-0 built by The Vulcan Foundry in 1944 and numbered WD 8648, 78648, LNER 3138 and lastly BR 90459. Allocated to York, Newport (Teeside), Thornaby, Tyne Dock and 51C West Hartlepool from where it was withdra wn in June 1967. Scrapped at Drapers Hull. In restored condition.
Nameplate badge LONDON & SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY COMPANY ex British Railway Diesel Class 33 33112 named Templecombe in 1987 then transferred onto 47708 and lastly 47315. In as removed condition measures 15in x 17.25in. This is the other side to the one we sold in November

Worksplate THE HUNSLET ENGINE co LTD LEEDS No 3697 1950 18 x 26. Ex Austerity 0-6-0ST. Supplied new to the NCB at Walkenden and named RENOWN, it was well photographed in its later years working at the Ladysmith Washery, Whitehaven. Oval cast brass in as removed condition, measures 11.5in x 8in.
Nameplate HECATE ex Kent & East Sussex Railway 0-8-0T built by Hawthorn Leslie in 1904 as works number 2587 and delivered new to the K&ESR and numbered 4. After initial service it was loaned to the East Kent Light Railway from 1917 to 1919 to work at Tilmanstone Colliery. At 53 tons she was too heavy for the lightly laid section from Robertsbridge to Rolvenden and was used occasionally on the northern section. to the Southern Railway in 1932 in exchange for another locomotive and two boilers and numbered SR 949. It saw use at 70A Nine Elms until being withdrawn in March 1950 and scrapped. Rectangular cast brass in original condition. Measures 22.5in x 4.25in.

In original condition complete with bolts.
LMS cast iron tenderplate LMS 9795 1939 ex Stanier Class 8 built at Crewe in 1939 and numbered LMS 8123 and BR 48123. Allocated to Normanton, Wakefield and 55D Royston from where it was withdrawn in March 1967 and scrapped later the same year. Rectan gular cast iron face restored measures 8in x 6in.
Tyers No 6 brass and steel Single Line Tablet LAUNCESTON - EGLOSKERRY ex L&SWR section on the North Cornwall line closed in 1966. Measures 4.5in diameter and stamped NOT IN USE on the face.

Cast iron platform vending machine 1D MATCHES. Manufactured by Brecknell Munro & Rodgers Bristol England and supplied for use on stations by the British Booklet Matches Ltd, these initially dispensed two booklets of matches for 1d and later one b ox of matches for 1d. In nicely restored condition complete with both keys and some match boxes. Stands 26in tall and dates from the 1920's.
Worksplate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY GLASGOW 25263 1943. Ex Riddles Austerity WD 2-8-0 90274 numbered WD 7393, 77393 and BR 90274. A much travelled loco, initially going into LNER stock, then to War Department service from early 1945 seeing se rvice in Belgium. On return to the UK went on loan to GWR for a year until December 1948 when it became 90274 and was allocated to Gorton, Aintree & 36C Frodingham from where it was withdrawn from in January 1966 and scrapped at Drapers Hull. Diamond shaped cast brass face lightly restored. Measures 14in x 5.5in.

Comes complete with a letter of authenticty from the current owner who purchased it from the Isle Of Man Railway & Tramway Preservation Society in 2010 which was documneted in their AGM minutes.

These were taken out of use in late 1951 when Stourpaine was closed and Tyer's No 6 were used until the closure of the Somerset and Dorset railway in 1966. Rectangular alum inium measures 4in x 4in and is in ex railway condition.
