Allocated to Grantham, Doncaster and 34E New England from where it was withdrawn in April 1963 and scrappe d at Doncaster works. Oval cast brass measures 9in x 5in, face restored.

Great Eastern Railway oak Captains Swivel Chair with GER carved into the back rail and original rexine covered seat pad. In good condition, seat still swivels through 360 degrees, stands 32in tall.
London Transport enamel station target bullseye sign SUDBURY HILL. Fully flanged, in very good condition with minor edge chipping, measures 45in x 60in.
London & North Western Railway mahogany cased Double Line block instrument stamped L&NWR 159 in the top In good ex railway condition, measures 18.5in tall. Not common.
Smokebox numberplate 60961 ex LNER Gresley V2 2-6-2 built at Darlington in 1942 and numbered LNER 3673 and 961. Allocated to 50A York North for all its working life and withdrawn in April 1965 and scrapped at Drapers Hull. In restored condition.
Nameplate TRETOWER CASTLE ex GWR Collett Castle Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1939 as order number 324 and numbered 5094. Allocated to Newton Abbot, Laira, Weymouth Swindon, Bristol Bath Road, Gloucester and 82B St Philips Marsh from where it was w ithdrawn from in September 1962 and scrapped at Cashmore's (Newport). In lightly cleaned condition with L 5094 stamped in the back indicating this is the left hand side plate. Tretower Castle is just outside Crickhowell and is now a tourist attraction.

In original condition and complete with British Railways receipt dated 10th July 1961
LMS signal box board LAMPORT IRONSTONE SDGS from the former London & North Western Railway box between Northampton and Market Harborough. Wood with cast iron letters, in lightly restored condition, measures 106in x 10in.
London & South Western Railway signal lamp interior stamped in the side LSWR and steel plated LYDFORD. In excellent condition and a rare survivor from this Devon station.
Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway metal Ambulance Box, sign written on the front M&GN THURSFORD STATION. In nice original condition complete with internal plaster box. Measures 13in x 10in x 5in. Together with a small shovel stamped M&am p;GNR. 16in long.
Brass Ships bell stamped NER Co twice on the top. On the inside rim are details of the ship it was salvaged from the shipbreakers. ACT1171 1916 built ammunition carrier finally scrapped in 1973. Admiralty broad arrow stamped on the top. Complete with clapper measures 7 in diameter x 5 .75 in tall and displayed on a hardwood stand. Not only railway interest, but also Royal Navy interest.
Totem BR(SC) HF KINGUSSIE from the former Highland Railway station between Blair Atholl and Boat Of Garten. In very good condition with a couple of small chip repairs, one of the best examples from this station we have seen.

Worksplate BUILT DONCASTER 1959 ex British Railways Diesel Class 03 D2049-2078. Oval cast iron in as removed condition. Measures 10.5in x 6in. Probably from one of the class that was scrapped at Doncaster works as it was acquired from Doncaster works by the vendors late father who was the Chief Foreman of 4 bay which was the locomotive repair shop and test bays and the stripping shop at British Rail Engineering Ltd.
Worksplate LMS BUILT 1933 CREWE ex Stanier 6P 2-6-0 numbered LMS 13252, 2952 and BR 42952. Allocated to Carlisle Kingmoor, Llandudno Junction, Bangor, Crewe South, Agecroft, Aintree and 8F Springs Branch from where it was withdrawn in September 1964 and scrapped at Central Wagon Co., Ince, Wigan. Oval cast brass face restored with 42952 on the back, measures 10.5in x 6in. The late vendors notes record this plate as from the above locomotive.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 3766 ex Collett 0-6-0PT built at Swindon in 1938. Allocated to Slough, Neath (Court Sart) and 86F Aberbeeg from where it was withdrawn in August 1963 and scrapped at Swindon Works. In original condition as stored sin ce 1965.
Tenderplate LMS No 4205 1930 ex Hughes Crab 2-6-0 built at Crewe in 1930 and numbered LMS 13170, 2870 and BR 42870. allocated to Willesden, Nuneaton and 6C Birkenhead Mollington Street from where it was withdrawn in March 1963 and scrapped at Horwich Works. Rectangular cast iron lightly face restored. Measures 7.75in x 5.75in.
Totem BR(M) HF WEST HAMPSTEAD MIDLAND from the former Midland Railway station between St Pancras and Hendon. In very good condition with some restoration to the extreme edges.
Southern Railway medium size Sugg platform gas lamp complete with chains and glass globe and enamel shade. In very good condition with a repair to the glass globe, measures 14in diameter x 19in tall.
Smokebox numberplate 57311 ex Caledonian Railway Drummond 2F 0-6-0 built at St Rollox in 1887 and numbered CR 339, 1323, LMS 17311 and BR 57311. Allocated to St Rollox and 65F Grangemouth from where it was withdrawn in September 1962 and scrapped at Cowlairs works. Lightly face restored.
LNER cast iron seat back GLAISDALE from the former North Eastern Railway station between Whitby and Castleton. Measures 32in x 4.25in and is in restored condition.

Allocated new to 66C Hamilton and withdrawn from 66A Polmadie in November 1971 and scrapped at BREL Glasgow. Oval cast aluminium face restored rear original, measures 9.75in x 7.25in.

Oval cast brass face lightly cleaned, measures 9in x 5.25in. Note this is the fifth Black five ever built. See whistle elsewhere in this auction.

EX East African Railways 59 Class Beyer Garratt 4-8-2 + 2-8-4 built by Beyer Peacock Manchester and numbered 5924 Rectangular cast brass nameplate measures 60.5in x 6.5in. In face restored condition a nice set.

Worksplate THE HUNSLET ENGINE CO LTD LEEDS 12X18 No 1684 1931 ex 0-4-0 T supplied new to Hall & Co and used at Stoats Nest Quarry Redhill, then later moved to Kilmersdon Colliery, near Radstock in Somerset where it worked until the mid 1960's, af ter which it was preserved at the Bleadon & Uphill station museum. In 1968 it was purchased by the 1968 by the G.W.R. 1338 locomotive Fund, and moved to the Middleton Railway in 2006 and is awaiting restoration. Oval cast brass, face lightly cleaned, measures 11.5in x 8in. Note this is the other side to the one we sold in March 2022.

Oval cast iron face restored, measures 8.5in x 6in.

Allocated to Bath Green Park and 71H Templecombe from where it was withdrawn in July 1962 and scrapped at Crewe Works. Oval cast brass face restored with 40563 on the b ack, measures 10.5in x 6in. The late vendors notes record this plate as from the above locomotive.

Face restored.

Oval cast brass in original condition, measures 12.75in x 6.75in.
